"I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this meal. From the unique grill, delicious meats, great assortment of banchan. It was a perfect korean bbq dinner and one of my favorite places in town. The little one loves the corn cheese here and that's what tipped the scale to come here. The grill pictures allows you to put egg, corn cheese, and kimchi around the meats and conveniently eat it together. Delicious!"
"Tried the new Korean place today in Grant Park where Farm Burger was and really enjoyed the experience. We tried the soy garlic 8 jumbo wings. We also tried the egg rolls with the sweet chili sauce and the regular fried rice. With our family of four with this food, plus a shared honey garlic chicken sandwich, it was plenty of food. The sandwich was amazing and probably a highlight. Wings were also big with a very delicious sauce and the crispy friedness left a savory wanting-more-ness in my mouth. I like that nothing was spicy since we had our kids with us. Egg rolls were fine and fried rice was the right combination of not greasy while still flavourful. You can also add proteins to the rice and choose from a variety of bowls featuring classic Korean dishes like Bibimbap and some combo options. I'd be curious to try the fries next time as the chef/owner James, who was very welcoming, told me they'd be rotating the menu options regularly. The menu is not huge which I appreciate as it makes ordering simple. Finally, their deserts are homemade and the little macarons we tried were amazing. They had Nutella, chocolate, cookies and cream, and we tried all of them. They are super dense, rich, and impressive. Our total came to around $40. I expect that they will only up their game once they do their real opening. Happy to have another interesting restaurant in the neighborhood."

"Fast casual spot. Dine-in or order and carry out. Feels like a K-Pop joint. K-Pop videos playing by the counter. QR code to order or a menu is available as well. We ordered the two person extra spicy tteokbokki, kimchi Kimbap, spicy tuna Kimbap, spicy grilled chicken Kimbap (not breaded chicken) and the deep fried combination. Added one more spicy tuna Kimbap. $50.34 The broth drink is actually good, tastes good with the food for sure, it's good since they don't have hot barley or corn tea at all. The extra spicy tteokbokki is good, nice heat. The rice cake is still decently chewy. The two pickled cubed radishes are a nice banchan and accompaniment to the food consumed. The fried potato and the squid are both good. The kimmari is okay, maybe too big for what it is, thus too many potato noodles. The squid is a bit heavy on the tempura batter. The rolls are packed fully. The spicy chicken roll has two to three small pieces of chicken in it, quite nice. It's a good roll. The kimchi roll is decent, it has the perilla leaf, which wasn't expected. Not too bad. The spicy tuna was the better of the 3 rolls, slightly sweet with the yellow pickled radish in it. I do think all of their spicy rolls would be much better with fresh Jalapeño over the pickled jalapeño."
"I enjoyed the original Gopchang on Fire in Suwanee, so it was no surprise that I ended up enjoying Gopchang on Fire 2 too. For a satisfying, no-frills gopchang experience, Gopchang on Fire 2 gets the job done.I believe Gopchang on Fire is the OG gopchang restaurant brand/chain in Georgia. If you're unfamiliar with gopchang, it's Korean grilled cow and pig intestines. It's like Korean barbecue, from the in-table grills to the banchan (side dishes), but instead of beef brisket and pork belly, it's intestines and tripe.Unfortunately, just the words "intestines" and "tripe" are an immediate turnoff for a lot of people. To each their own. That said, if you're open-minded and/or the adventurous type when it comes to food, I encourage you to try one of these gopchang restaurants. I think gopchang is delicious and I've yet to be disappointed. If you've had intestines and tripe from other places/cuisines (e.g., Chinese, Latin American), throw those experiences out the window. Korean gopchang is different in almost every way -- taste, smell, and texture (more on that below). Set aside any preconceived notions. Don't knock it till you've tried it.Since I reviewed the original Gopchang on Fire in 2016, several gopchang restaurants have opened in metro Atlanta, mostly in Gwinnett County, of course. It's a good sign Atlanta can sustain at least seven gopchang restaurants now, by my count. At the time of writing this, they include:* Gopchang on Fire 1 - Suwanee - opened 2015https://bit.ly/2NlVHi1* Gopchang on Fire 2 - Duluth - opened 2017https://bit.ly/3P4igrp* Hwangso Gopchang - Duluth - opened 2018https://bit.ly/3T0qbav* 9292 Gopchang - Duluth - opened 2018https://bit.ly/3SYOXI2* Gopchang Salon - Suwanee - opened 2021https://bit.ly/432bsQS* Hwangso Gopchang 2 - Duluth - opened 2023https://bit.ly/3V4oA5Z* Gopchang on Fire 3 - Doraville (Buford Highway) - opened 2023https://bit.ly/432q02RGopchang on Fire 2 replaced Ham Ji Bak Cafe ( https://bit.ly/432YUbK ) in the Satellite Square shopping center, two buildings down from popular Jang Su Jang Korean restaurant. Next door to Gopchang on Fire 2 is Jok Ga A Dong Chim, which is a great bossam place, by the way: https://bit.ly/2ThqTTx Bossam is another Korean cuisine: boiled pork wraps. It's really good and better for less-adventurous eaters.Gopchang on Fire 2 had a pretty streamlined menu. The combos are the way to go and then I suggest adding a side of rice or noodles (e.g., Kimchi Fried Rice for $4.99). Also, gopchang goes well with soju. The restaurant sold a few different flavors, priced at $12.99 per bottle. There were only two combos: A ($59.99) and B ($69.99). They came with the exact same things. The only difference was the portion size. Combo A was designed for 3 people and Combo B was designed for 4 people. My friend and I, just two of us, completely demolished one Combo A. It came with:* Gop Chang - small intestine of cow* Dae Chang ("big innards") - large intestine of cow* Mak Chang ("last tripe") - upper lining of last stomach of cow* Tuek Yang - upper lining of first stomach of cow* Yeomtong - cow heartEverything was yummy. Unlike the intestines I've had at a lot of non-Korean restaurants, these tasted very clean and lean. No unpleasant smell or odor and not overly fatty or oily. The fat was trimmed off, which is one thing I appreciate about gopchang. They prepared it well. The organs were seasoned and/or marinated. The small intestine was stuffed with ingredients like garlic. Yum. We got two dipping sauces: sesame oil with salt and Korean soy sauce with chopped bird's eye chili. The latter was subtly sweet. Overall, I thought all of the intestines, tripe, and heart had savory, appetizing flavors with various firm and chewy consistencies. In general, the first stomach is the chewiest and it only gets chewier the longer it's on the grill.Banchan, with standard free refills, included spicy chives, spicy pickled onion and bell peppers, spicy cold mung bean sprouts, and kimchi. I will say, aside from the chives, the banchan was a bit lackluster. The quantity was there, but the quality was not. None of the dishes were bad. It's just that the competition is very stiff in Gwinnett when it comes to banchan freshness/quality and variety. However, I'm not complaining much because the meal we had was reasonably priced. As is customary at Korean barbecue restaurants in Atlanta, our food was cooked for us at our table by the servers. We visited on a Tuesday night and there were only two young ladies working the front of the house. The place got decently busy - maybe seven active tables at its peak - and the servers stayed on top of everything. They were nice too. Great service. This is a small, humble, old-school restaurant. The interior isn't as modern or nice as some of the aforementioned newer gopchang restaurants. Gopchang on Fire 2 feels more warm, homey, and low-key. The grill ventilation wasn't great, but not bad either."
"Solid. Not too bad. They give a GOOD amount of meat which was a plus but there was nothing too special about it. Broth is standard and dipping sauce they make it for you as standard as well. The veggie plate had a lot of variety which was great as well. The restaurant itself could be a bit more clean but servers were pretty attentive. However, there were only 3 groups including my group so I expected them to have fast service considering it being slow. Quick - lower cost than normal shabu fix."
"Located in Decatur this is definitely a gem. I was able to park right in front so parking was good. Upon entering we were given a warm greeting. It was very cute inside and music playing at a decent volume. I reviewed the menu and they have a great variety of options! I went with the Korean corn dogs and egg rolls. Neither disappointed!! Cheese pull heaven!! I will be visiting them soon! Check out my vid! Until next time SYOY!"
"A friend and I came here during lunch. It was busy! We sat down at a booth and this place is spacious! We came for the AYCE and we can choose our broth. I got the spicy dashi and off we go to fill our plates. They have so many varieties to choose from. We got plenty of greens: kale, spinach, mushrooms, dumplings, meatballs, fishballs, sweet potato, malanga, kimchi, etc. They also brought out large plates of meat and seafood for us to start. Everything was fresh and delicious. They do limit your time, but we sat there for a while and no one rushed us. We were only able to get 2 plates of meat/seafood before we were full. I would definitely come back just for the AYCE. It was more than enough food to fill me up. We weren't able to eat as much meat as we intended to. But good service and nice selection of food. We left with full and happy bellies!"
"This place seems to specialize in 순대 soondae.Things you should know:I. PARKING Moo Bong Ri is in the same plaza as the Super HMart (on the left side) and shares a massive, free public parking lot out front. There are plenty of available spaces. II. SERVICE Timely. As a party of two, we were seated promptly and without wait on a weekend night. They even brought out the food in a timely fashion. The waitress was kind to make recommendations when asked. III. QUALITY I personally like their Kimchi Jigae (김치찌개), here. The spicy broth is delicious! Their alcohol selection is standard and their 순대 plates are presented well. IV. CAPACITY Busy on weekends. You'll likely have to wait if your party is larger than 2 or if you want a table that allows BBQ. If reservations are possible on weekends, I recommend making them if timeliness is an important factor for you. 이곳은 순대를 전문으로 하는 것 같습니다. 알아야 할 사항:I.
"I didn't think I'd like it but it was good, I loved the spice/seasoning they provided to dip the meat in. Do be warned that it takes a bit for the meat to cook and you can only put very few skewers at once. Also, the skewers are small so it can be very easy to spend more than intended though you do get a good amount per order.Place is small and not very accomodating for very large groups but still definitely worth a visit."
"Another lunchtime visit! And it was everything!!! I cannot get enough of Korean food, I just absolutely love it! I went for a solo lunch and totally enjoyed the lunchbox offered! I feel like I could eat here at least weekly if I lived closer! The service is consistently great, the food is always amazing and it's a super well maintained restaurant!"
"This is the newest self service, kiosk, cafeteria style Korean soup shop to help with the disgruntled overflow from a similar place in the area.Plenty of seating, with a large, casual style dining hall that is beautifully decorated like a hanok village. The dishes to order here are spicy or mild cold noodles. They also have meat side combos available.Their hot soups are decent, but I recommend their cold noodle specialty.Their mandu are also very popular."
"We checked in upon arrival at the kiosk and was #2 in line. There was no one at the front desk, no one else waiting, and they did not seem busy. One of the staff walked by and said nothing, he answered the phone and left. We waited close to about 10 mins with zero acknowledgment of our existence from the staff and had considered leaving. Finally someone comes by and takes us to our table. We went with the ayce option. Our entire experience was average. Our server was somewhat attentive and changed our grill plenty of times, however when we asked for more sides the service was extremely slow. The meat quality is above average but lacked flavor."

Still our favorite KBBQ spot in ATL! We've been here a few times now and have learned that instead of ordering the combination sets, a la carte is the way to go. Our favorite cuts are the spicy pork belly (MY FAV!), beef brisket, seasoned rib fingers, and seasoned galbi (THE BEST!). I've grown up eating California LA galbi and this was mind blowing- never had such tender cuts. Our waiter recommended the unmarinated galbi for next time, which we will definitely try.

I recently went to the movie theater in the area and wanted something to eat afterwards. I stumbled upon this place but they were closed. However, I vowed to come back the next day.The gps tried to take me to the shopping center where Firepit Pizza Tavern is, but it's not in there. It's located a few lights further down, where the Farm Burger used to be. They have free retail parking (30min) in the parking garage. The place was pretty empty when I arrived. I was promptly greeted by one of the friendly employees. I ordered the 8 pc wing combo with fried rice, soy garlic flavor. It took about 20 minutes to get my food because they make everything fresh to order. The wings are HUGE, juicy, and hot. These are Korean style wings, so they're also very crispy and crunchy. The fried rice was missing a little flavor, but I dressed it up with some soy sauce, and we were good to go.Check this place out if you're in the area. I'll definitely be back!

Danmooji is great and a wonderful place to eat when you feel like Korean finger foods. My wife came here for lunch while getting our cars worked on at a nearby mechanic and enjoyed our meal very much. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable and felt hip.We haven't been here since 2014 so it was nice to see them doing well after so many years and it looks like they remodeled the place so the location felt clean and well kept.4 solid stars and 2 thumbs up.Thank you for a great meal!

I was honestly not a fan of Gopchang on Fire because I just liked Hwangso Gopchang a lot better, but I recently gave this place a chance and I had to say I was impressed! Some impressive points that I noticed - they finally have the injeolmi powder! You have to ask for it separately but that's what really differentiated Hwangso over Gopchang on Fire so I was very impressed.I realistically want to give this place a 3.5 - the gopchang was very soggy and looked a bit old. Don't mind me bc I was in South Korea just a week ago eating very fresh gopchang but anyways, it just seemed off. I am also a fan of the circular daechang vs. Gopchang on Fire's daechang so there goes some points there.Overall though, it wasn't a bad dinner and the fried rice was really good as well. I especially really liked the soondubu stew. It had a lot of flavor and complimented the grilled meats. I think now I will go back and forth between the two joints now!

"Like it"Not a big fan of hot pot, but I think Gom Shabu Shabu is average. I didn't like that they only had one type of broth, veggie. It was hard to keep a consistent temperature on my burner. It was either too hot or luke warm. Selection of meats and items were pretty good. Utensils didn't bother me as much, but my wife stated she would have liked a strainer of some sort for the noodles. Service was good at first but as they got busy they didn't really care for us. No refill on broth. Refill on sauce and water whenever requested. Saw their eyes start to roll after the third time I requested for sauce.

As we were heading in we saw an under new management sign. We couldn't remember if that sign was there 3 months ago from our initial visit so we eagerly go in ready for the delicious food we had before. That was not the case......at least half of the menu was not available and crossed out with stickers (see picture) What i ordered this time was one of the only spicy options available. It was like hot sauce from the bottle on top. It was extremely disappointing. It was such a contrast to what I had before. The lo mein was also a big let down. The noodles were mushy and it didn't have the same seasoning as before. In fairness the shrimp were cooked properly. It is intriguing that the online menu is still showing the other flavors and options as a viable choice. I had this place bookmarked because it was so good before. I removed it today and won't likely be back.

Love the convenience and the spread at 9292. It's the best and healthiest hot pot option and I love to come here after a nice time at Jeju Spa. Only a few minutes down the road, this hot pot is a great all you can eat option with lots of variety. Upgrade and you can add some meats, otherwise there's plenty of veggies and seafood options for your choosing. There's also plenty of side dishes and sauces to concoct a dipping sauce for your nibbles. My family and I came right before closing and we were so grateful that they stayed open for us to clean house. We ate til we were stuffed and right before closing. It's a popular spot on the weekend and during peak hours. Highly recommend if you're looking for a healthy hot pot option.

We got amazing service here even though we're not Korean ifkyk. The host, our server and the manager were all super nice. We got the pan fried soondae & gopchang w/vegetables and noodles for 2 ($54.99) and had some leftovers to take home. For the price it's a bit of a splurged but it is a unique dish I've never seen before. This is my first time trying this dish and it was delicious. The beef intestines were super clean and not gritty at all so if you're looking for the grit perhaps this is not for you. The blood sausage was the best I've ever had and was perfect in the pan. There was also a small portion of glass noodles that made it fun to eat.I saw a few people eating the bbq pork belly and that looked so good. Want to come back and try that as well as the fresh water eel.

"This place looked like a fun place with lotsa options, so decided to check it out. Luckily, its parking garage was nearly connected to the restaurant...so very easy access! The place itself was chic and somewhat lofty (high ceilings, that is)...with plenty of seatings. I came during off-hours, so had the pickings. Here's the thing that I didn't like right away. You had to order at the counter, then go back to the table with a buzzer, then go back up to the counter to fetch the foods (and also drop off at the end). If the counter was conveniently placed, I wouldn't have minded as much, but here, you had to walk up the stairs (mini stairs?), then walk quite a ways to your table (especially if seated far back, as was in my case) and back. All in all, it was awkward and just took a lot of work to get your food! Bit of a pain, if you ask me.The counter service was very good (friendly and helpful)...but again, I would have loved it if they at least delivered the foods? Basically not much service at all here. Now I loved their unique menu...with an array of fusion foods, desserts and fancy drinks. I ordered their Katsu Chicken with Carbonara Pasta. Also, this snazzy looking specialty drink, "Poker Face". Sadly, I didn't love the Katsu (a bit too thick, for one), and the pasta was way too creamy and thick. I just loved that they had the Katsu and pasta combo here. The only other place that I know that does this was at this place, Poetree Cafe in Suwanee, GA...and sadly, this version didn't live up to theirs. I was actually a bit more impressed with their refreshing, colorific drink!Am definitely open to trying other things on their menu, so hopefully I can bump up my ratings in the future?"
"I've visited Bene Korean BBQ twice for lunch, and both times have been great. The restaurant's elegant ambiance, with its minimal yet classy decor, sets a refined tone.Service was consistently excellent during both of my visits. I've particularly enjoyed the Dol-Sot Bibimbap with Spicy Pork ($14.99). The dish had a vibrant mix of fresh vegetables, and the spicy sauce provided a satisfying kick. I've also enjoyed the Chicken Bulgogi Box ($13.99) and the Korean Fried Chicken ($11.99). The chicken was juicy and flavorful in both of these entrees. My partner absolutely loves the Galbi Lunch Box ($18.99). The beef short ribs were perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection. All of our entrees were accompanied by a hearty soup, a refreshing salad with a wonderfully sweet dressing, and three flavorful side dishes.Personally, I think compared to the other options in Atlanta, Bene is an awesome choice for Korean food."
"Brought colleagues from work here who were craving Korean BBQ. There is a parking garage in the alley next to this restaurant so it's easy to get settled in. This is a modernized take on Korean BBQ. Fancy decor, meat quality is very high- but there is little to no banchon (side dishes) and it's gas versus charcoal- so there is a difference IMO. Our service was excellent. Everyone was pleased, I ordered for the table (group of ten) and we had 2 appetizer sampler platters to start. 3 Kim chee dumplings, 3 beef dumplings, 3 beef meatballs, and 3 Korean Deviled egg halves, with sides of kim chee and pickled radishes. People got to taste different things and it went over well. For the table I ordered entrees and not the AYCE. I wanted them to have quality, not quantity. I started with two orders of Chicken (one spicy and one soy marinated). 2 orders of beef tenderloin for each side of the table (two grills for ten people), and finally 2 orders of the Kalbi- marinated short ribs. That's the Cadillac of the experience, so I made sure we had that. As for sides, I got two kim chee fried rice, one order of cucumber salad (which was the hero of all the meal, because I LOVE CUCUMBERS PREPPED THUS WAY). They had many offerings when it came to sauces. People loved the salty ssam Jang, as well as the soy garlic. Cucumber sliced thin and picked like Kim chee is also a personal favorite and lots of our team loved it all. The only negative is not having any banchon, and the prices are indicative of being in Inman Park/Midtown. Entertaining customers is good here but for traditionalists this probably isn't for you. Thanks to the team here for taking such good care of us."
"Came to Oystra with a friend for lunch. Neither one of us have been here. Upon walking in was greeted and sat immediately. The restaurant is very cute inside looks quaint and small, but there is another room in the back.I let my friend order our appetizer because I told her I did not raw salmon because it was too chewy & fishy. Well turns out that's not even what it's supposed to taste like and I must've had a bad experience. She ordered the Nigri we got the salmon, salmon, belly, and tuna. Every single one of those were absolutely delicious and so fresh! The sushi chef even came over and said they switch out the fish every two days, I would definitely try any one of those again. In between our appetizer and entrée, we got some banchan, which consisted of bean sprouts, cucumbers, radish I think, and I'm not sure what the last one was but they were all great. For our lunch entrée (I had planned on getting Ramen but we never made it past our sushi rolls for the rolls) we got the aloha roll and the Spider-Man that Spider-Man role is pretty big and it took two bites to eat which is not a bad thing. It was absolutely delicious and flavorful , the aloha roll was great as well. I liked the taste of the spicy tuna. After we were done eating, the waitress bought us a little tray of desserts to share. One of the desserts tasted like a little fruit parfait. The other two things were a chocolate macaroon, and I believe a sweet bun filled with cream. All in all we had a great experience I really enjoyed my service and food, and would definitely come back or recommend."
"The rosé topokki... You MUST get the rosé version when you're here. It's seriously sooo good. My friend was eating this like crack. And it goes well as a dipping sauce too! Plus, it's apparently the thing in Korea. The other items we shared were also tasty like the ramen with all its flavors. The kimbap, fish cake skewers, and rice bowl were of typical quality. The basket of fried pieces of squid, seaweed rolls, shrimp, and other things had a good variety to try.Although this place looks casual, they try to make it fancy by bringing the food to you and clearing the tables. Around dinner time, this little spot can get filled.Kukga Topokki is a solid spot for Korean sweet food. And of course a great place for rosé topokki. Korean food to me could be just okay at times. Some restaurants are even undistinguishable from another. Kukga Topokki does it well somehow, perhaps offering the rosé topokki. Seriously, at this point if you're tired of me mentioning it. It being rosé. Get it. It's good."
"I returned for more...and ordered the same combo, Jjajangmyun and Tangsuyuk...but this time, I opted for the normal, instead of the spicy Jjajangmyun. The one thing that disappointed me was the presentation of Tangsuyuk especially. The toppings were quite skimpy last time too, but this time it was even worse! In my original version, there wasn't any carrots at all...just a few mushrooms. A VERY plain Tangsuyuk...possibly the plainest version I've ever seen?!? So I actually asked the Manager on duty (??) for the some carrots on the side. Thus, in my picture, you'll see a triple dose of carrot toppings. I just wish I didn't have to ask for it. Why get so cheap with the toppings?? It tasted great...but just didn't look as appetizing. Jjajangmyun was solid...as expected. I didn't realize until later that I could have added more black sauce (from the "Do-It-Yourself counter). Also, I found it somewhat hard to eat the noodle and the pork with the flimsy plastic utencils. I know this is a self-order, self-serving type eatery, but actual silverware would have been so much better...easier to eat! So yeah, there were disappointments in some aspects...in their budget-happy ways? Still, the foods made up for it. This is one place where I KNOW I'll get that perfectly authentic Jjangmyun. For that alone, decided not to dock any stars...and am sure to be back."
"E X P E R I E N C E we came on a Sunday for brunch around 11am. we had a reservation for 6 and a baby. we were immediately sat and had a private room (love!). "I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Zen Korean BBQ - they offer over 31 choices of KBBQ for only $34.99! I had the opportunity to speak with the manager and she said they use all prime quality meat for their AYCE options. I was extremely impressed with all the meats. I heard some mixed reviews about this place, but boy I was wrong. Everything was perfect. My personal favorites were the Zen Top Sirloin Steak, Beef Belly and the Large Intestines. I love that they had intestines as part of their AYCE and it wasn't bad quality at all. They also offer unlimited soybean paste stew, corn cheese and steamed egg which I thought was a huge plus. They all tasted pretty good and especially in this time of inflation, I am very impressed with the overall pricing and quality of the meat. Everyone who has doubts about this place should definitely check it out - IMO, I think it's pretty worth. There is also a cheaper AYCE option if you're not about all 31 meats."
"Hands down my favorite hot pot place. They have a wide assortment of options, food is always fresh, and the sauce bar is fully stocked. I always opt just for the hot pot instead of the ayce hot pot and kbbq since there is already plenty of food."
"Zoong Guk Jib is the best Korean-Chinese restaurant in Georgia. This place is about as "authentic" and legit as it gets in the States. That's all you need to know. If you want details, keep reading.Zoong Guk Jib or "jung-gug jib" is Korean for "Chinese home." The business opened in January 2022. It's located in the Duluth Village shopping center (Pho 24, Harue Korean Chicken, Rothem Cafe, White Windmill) on Peachtree Industrial Blvd, south of Pleasant Hill Rd. It replaced Korean homestyle restaurant Seoul Shin Jung (which I rated four stars back in 2017): https://bit.ly/3veSv0lThis place is popular, especially among the local Korean community. Try calling and making a reservation. We were able to get a reservation for our party of nine on a Sunday at 6:30pm. When we arrived, the restaurant's two dining rooms were completely full. We heard that waiting for a table here is common. Good luck on the weekends. This is one of those Korean businesses in Duluth that's owned and operated by Koreans for Koreans. Case in point, specials on the blackboard menu, just inside the entrance, were written in Korean only. Don't let that stop you though. The regular menu wasn't great when it came to English translations, but there were helpful pictures and the servers (at least, the ones we interacted with) were nice and accommodating. Plus, you can research what to order on Yelp beforehand.Below is a list of what we ordered, using the restaurant's English descriptions. I'll try to elaborate more on each. This list should give you a good idea of what this place has to offer and how much everything generally costs. I've been to my fair share of Korean-Chinese restaurants on/around Buford Highway and in Gwinnett County over the years and I don't remember any coming as close to Zoong Guk Jib in terms of variety. For example, they offer six different kinds of jajangmyeon and seven varieties of jjamppong (spicy noodle soup). Pretty much all the Korean-Chinese staples are on the menu and we got most of them.Noodle* Jjajang Myun x2 ($7.95 each) - noodles with black bean sauce, pork, and vegetables* Hae Mul Szechuan Style Jjajang Myun ($26.95) - noodles with black bean sauce in Szechuan style with seafood, pork, and vegetablesPork* Chopssal Tang Soo Yuk x2 ($21.95 each) - fried pork with sweet rice flour with sweet and sour sauce* Mapo Tofu ($20.95) - stir-fried tofu, minced pork, vegetables in chili bean sauce. Chicken* Kan Poong Ki ($22.95) - fried chicken in sweet and sour garlic sauce with spicy peppers and vegetablesShrimp* Creme Sae Woo ($28.95) - fried shrimp in creamy lemon sauceSpecial Dishes* Palbochae ($32.95) - stir-fried seafood and vegetables in spicy oyster sauce* Yan Jang Pi ($33.95) - stir-fried starch sheets with beef, vegetables, and cold seafood and vegetablesSide Dishes* Small White Rice x5 ($1.95 each)Everything was fresh, outstanding, and well executed with generous portion sizes.I think Zoong Guk Jib has the best Jjajang Myun in metro Atlanta. It's the best among those I've had in recent memory. The restaurant gets everything right, from the noodle texture to the balance and flavor of the jajang (fried black gravy) that covers the noodles. This was my first time trying Hae Mul Szechuan Style Jjajang Myun. It was something else. The best way for me to describe it is it's "Jjajang Myun Paella," complete with jumbo shrimp, shell-on mussels, octopus, and squid plus pork and greens. The Chopssal Tang Soo Yuk (fried pork) and Kan Poong Ki (fried chicken) were excellent. Both are served with sweet and sour sauce, but the sauces are different. The Chopssal Tang Soo Yuk sauce came with onion, carrot, red cabbage, and cucumber. The sauce was served on the side. For one dish, we poured the sauce on top. For the other, we dipped the pieces of pork into the sauce. It was yummy both ways. I really enjoyed the rice flour batter which had a softer, more delicate consistency. The Kan Poong Ki is similar to American Chinese food, e.g., fried chicken with sugary sauces, but better.I recommend the Palbochae, Yan Jang Pi, and Mapo Tofu. These dishes were filling, satisfying, and packed with flavor. You need to order them with rice. Unlike a typical Chinese restaurant, rice must be ordered separately here. The Palbochae and Yan Jang Pi amount to large stir-fries of meat and/or seafood with veggies and tasty sauces. Add squeeze-bottled spicy mustard to the Yan Jang Pi. The mustard elevates the dish to another level. The Mapo Tofu here is some of the best around.Complimentary kimchi and pickled takuan (danmuji -- yellow daikon radish) was served with our meal. Crisp and delicious.Service was great. Despite a busy dinnertime service, our entire order came out fast. The staff was friendly. And they provided plenty of scissors for us to cut the noodles.Closed Tuesdays.Shout-out to my friend and fellow Yelper Jinsoon Y for introducing me to some of the awesome dishes here: https://bit.ly/3S04Oqp"
"Highlight- brought a friend who's never tried korean bbq before, and it's not fair for me to write a full review, since this place is called "gopchang" on fire-- meaning intestines on fire (it doesnt make your intestines go on fire, don't worry), and I didn't order the gopchang, but the beef rib instead since my friend and I weren't game enough to eat intestines. I give this place a 3.5 for its beef- I will write a review update when I have tried their intestines some time. We ordered the beef rib- 17.99$ a person. You had to cook it yourself here and the beef quality definitely isn't the same quality as 9292, Breakers, 678, or even Iron Age. I am guessing this is not what they are famous for- things that are NOT Gop Chang. So if you come here, I recommend NOT ordering the meats and save that order for a place that primarily does meats like the other korean barbecues I mentioned. The meat as tougher quality and one of those where you had to watch carefully b/c it can be super tender one second and then tough as leather the next second. so that part, I don't quite like. The ban chan was a lot of scallions and chives in spicy sauce, radish to cleanse your palate, a spicy tofu soup which wasn't that spicy. Overall: Wait for me to try the Gopchang- until then, I don't recommend normal meats on this menu- clearly not their specialty."
"Food is amazing if you need to let your stress out by eating something super spicy. After I was done, my stress was nonexistent! We got the level 2 and to our surprise, we were a bit struggling and will stick to level 1 next time so be cautious when choosing!I took a star off due to service. I know it just opened and I'm sure it'll improve but we were a bit lost just as much as the staff. When you first walk in, the sign states to take a seat so we did but no one came by so we went to ask. The staff didn't clarify that we need to select a seat, leave something behind to reserve it, grab a pot, and start grabbing the topping/ingredients. Did notice that after our mix up, staff clarified to other incoming customers. When asked about what some of their ingredients were, they didn't really understand and overall was hectic when checking out but know that they will weigh your bowl for the charge. Also, some of the ingredients are extra so those blocks that you pick up from the topping stations will add extra charges. Make sure you know what level and type of mala (dry or soup) and within dry option, they have other flavors to make it a quicker process.During check out, I tried to custom tip them but it would not work so ended up selecting one of the recommended options which I did not like. My husband had the same issues since we had two checks due to additional order being added later. The ingredient/topping station and sauce station is pretty small but sufficient to make your bowl of choice. I didn't initially know but since it's by weight, would grab more meat next time.I had selected dry rose mara and it was tasty, both from the flavor wise and spiciness. Also they give it to you with a burning candle to keep the dish warm as you eat it. Mara/hotpot craze is still big as there's been so many hotpot places opening in Atlanta. I would beat the rush hours, otherwise you'll be waiting quite a bit since the restaurant is pretty small with about 10 tables.Oh and the creamy shrimp was so so good! The texture is so good, being chewy in a good way, and the flavor was delicious! It also helped curve the crazy spiciness! A must get!"
"I've had Bulgogi Bibimbap many times in my past, but never a Galbi Bibimbap, so decided to try it here...This was a very casual joint in Suwanee...but quite spacious. There was only 1 Korean-fluent waitress, and she was very friendly. I tried my best to speak in my native tongue, though I'm sure I sounded off. She was quickly on to me, and actually asked me if I needed a fork lol! *SIGH*As planned, I ordered their Dolsot Bibimbap w/ Galbi...which came in a huge skillet with a ton of veggies (pre-mixed). I also added this Sweet Corn appetizer, so that I can throw it into the mix. As expected, the dish was quickly delivered...all piping hot! Also as expected, it looked and tasted quite delish (pre and after mixing!)...and fully authentic! They loaded you up with sauces so that you can make the dish as spicy as you want it to be.Well, all the veggies were fresh and the Galbi was good (though not as fully marinated as I like it). Although I thoroughly enjoyed the dish, I felt that the portion of Galbi was just too skimpy. This was a HUGE skillet, but mostly loaded with veggies...and way too light on the meat. I thought that was a shame...'cuz if they dropped just a few more Galbi meats in the mix, I would have gladly rated this 5 stars. However, I felt a bit ripped. Though a huge platter/skillet costing about 20 bucks, it was mostly veggies...and if I knew the meat portion was that small, I would have just ordered a Galbi dish on its own...as it would have costed about the same, I think? BTW, I enjoyed their complimentary soup, as well as their super-savory house salad, and Kimchi...in both regular and squared version. Overall, the foods were great...and the service was even greater? I would have easily given this place 5 stars, but there just wasn't enough Galbi meat in my dish! Sorry...but I have to dock a star."
"Well, Thank goodness DD keeps track of deliveries for me because I wouldn't have been able to figure this location out. I do remember this place had some really good chicken. I ordered Garlic spicy,Garlic Chicken, kimchi and onion rings. All arrived in a short time span and was still very crunchy. Portions were huge and filling the flavors were pronounced. If I had realized this was my chance to finally try one of the snow versions I would've jumped on that chance. But I recall being too exhausted to read thoroughly after partying all night lol Next time, I will try something like the Sweet Onion snow."
"Despite my bad 1st experience here, I decided to return...to see if their much-touted Donkatsu lives up to the hype.I arrived super-early for lunch (11 am?), so was able to slide right in. As anticipated, I ordered their king-sized pork cutlets (AKA "Wang Donkatsu)...and WOAH, this was indeed a king-sized platter. HUGE!! Also, it came with a uniquely zesty house sauce/glaze.The verdict? Yep...it truly lived up to the hype! Not only incredibly generous in size (and value priced, considering the size, plus all the sides!), it was truly amazing! Possibly one of the best Katsu dishes I've ever had??This is a very quaint, mom 'n pops Korean restaurant...very popular with the locals. Their menu is awesome...and the foods are 100% legit. However, if I recall correctly, I felt "K-snobbed" on my 1st visit lol, so this time I tried my best to speak Korean (though my Korean is laughably bad!)...and I didn't even have to ask for a fork this time. They placed both fork and knife on the table!!! WOW. For that, I tipped them 25%. More and more, I noticed how most Asian restaurants are trying to skimp on placing forks on the table...even when we need it! Pet peeve, I guess?Really, the service was MUCH better this time around. I remember being really impressed with the foods here, despite the bad service on my first visit years ago...so I've been wanting to give them another try, and am SO glad I did!! Anyway, I was able to eat nearly half of the gigantic dish (btw, my dish looked MUCH more impressive in person than in pictures)...and doggy-bagged the rest for my husband (he loved it!). Totally worth ordering the king-sized plate!"
"The whole experience was a little weird. Service was good. The menu was Korean inspired sushi, in a crepe cafe, with a wine bar and no sushi bar out front. Not inspirational, on the sushi side. Miso soup was good on the starter. We ordered a vegetable tempura as an appetizer that showed up after the sushi. Huge plate. Six pieces of beer batter style fry, not tempura. Sushi was heavily sauced, which it doesn't need, unless freshness is a question. The beef bulgolgi roll was too big, like a futomaki roll. Too big to get down with one bite, and it falls apart with a bite. Some re-engineering of the roll with a lot less rice would be a great idea.Won't thrill ya. Won't kill ya. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
"So Gong Dong is SO my favorite spot to get tofu soup in Suwanee. It may be a chain restaurant but it's not related to the So Kong Dong on Buford Highway. While I'm super appreciative for the newer and closer location in Duluth now, this location was my first and dearest experience with soondubu kalguksu and complimentary plastic bibs (upon request). The menu is pretty straightforward. Get your tofu soup straight up, with kalguksu noodles or ramen noodles, then add your protein/"ingredient". Standard is seafood beef but I usually order oyster. Other Korean restaurants offer "combo" options but the Korean bbq meat is a la carte at So Gong Dong. Ordering LA Galbi (the beef short ribs) is usually my way to go. And if that's not enough, I like to order the seafood pancake, although I've had better. I may not be in this location as much as I used to, but from time to time if I can't think of where to grab food in Suwanee, So Gong Dong is an easy go-to option."
"First of all, they changed their name (and the outdoor sign) to "CM Chicken".I've been meaning to check out their famous Korean Chicken for ages. There are many Korean Chicken restaurants in the Duluth and surrounding areas, but Choong Man Chicken seemed to stand out for some reason.I arrived super-early for lunch, and was seated right away. The place had a dark, barsy vibe...but they did play some perky K-Pop videos. Am thinking this place is more popular at nights...since chicken and beer is a thing (with Koreans). Anyway, the service was friendly...and the foods came quickly.Anyway, I tried their "Soy Garlic Spring Greens Chicken", which comes with a side of white radish. I also ordered a side or Rice. Since I came for lunch, I got the smaller portion, which was still substantial. As expected, the chicken was delish...but not quite what I expected. The chicken didn't seem double-fried (?) and wasn't crispy...which was disappointing. I guess to get the double-fried crispy, I should have gone with other flavors. I actually regretted not choosing their signature flavor, "Snow Onion Chicken"...as that chicken seemed more crispy.Overall, I was a tad disappointed...but mostly due to what I chose (?). Am thinking that I'll try their "Snow Onion" next time...and see if that'll merit 5 stars."
"Now I have to say this, One particular day I came here I said why not, pay the extra $10 at $34.99 now and just get the dinner. Every option is available to you so why not?Now it got to the point where I was able to access the beef ribs (shaved). If you're expecting real bone in beef ribs it doesn't work that way. The beef from the ribs are shaved and marinaded and I must say, that meat was so good. You didn't even need any of the sauces they give you. They were perfect just the way they are. I also unlocked the garlic butter shrimp. The shrimp is a nice size but I think you nearly have to be a pro to peel those. I had a little trouble peeling them because it seems as though the shells were stuck on the shrimp. However once I did, the shrimp was really good! If you're not a good eater or just going to eat 2 helpings, don't pay that extra price because you will be wasting money. Afterwards you won't be able to justify why you spent $42 with tip included on a meal. The day I went, if It was Ala carte, I probably would have spent close to $70 on everything I had. The woman cooked for me 5 times. I never go there unless I'm really hungry and craving it. Word to the wise."
"If you have been following me, you would know that I love oriental food! Since I have not been outside lately, I decide to order through the DoorDash app!I ordered the Fried Rice w. Sriracha Mayo, Bulgogi and Kimichi. The food was really good especially when I mixed in the Kimichi with the fried rice. It was filling and I had to save some for later and ate it for my dinner. I more than likely will try this place again due to the fact it was more than I expected and curious to try other dishes on the menu."
"I've been wanting to come here for a looooong time, but had no one to go with (jokbal can be intimidating to some people). I finally caved and bought a bossam/jokbal set to go, all for myself lol. It is honestly worth every penny; you get a TON of sides and goodies to wrap your meats with, and they're all very tasty. The bossam was saltier than I expected, but not bad--just wasn't what I was expecting. Jokbal was also very rich and full of flavor. I'm really enjoying this, even though the amount of food given may last me a week lol. Definitely bring a group and come here--it's a hidden gem that you won't regret going to."
"Shopping at HMart leaves you craving Korean food (duh), especially if you're buying things around lunch time. I got two of my favorite Korean dishes:Mul naengmyon: it's quite refreshing. Deliciously chewy noodles, though you do need to swish it and break it apart in the broth a bit before you dig in, which means the ball of noodles were lying around before they dunked broth on it. No big deal, just that actual restaurants usually give it to you fairly fresher. The broth is also not as "beefy" as some restaurants, but it'll hit the spot if you're craving it. They also give you some thick slices of beef, but overall low on the protein, which is the norm for this dish. Soondae: I was a little thrown off when I didn't see any seasoned salt on the side, but overall it was okay. Not the best I've had, but it's garlicky and will still hit your soondae craving. Overall, I'd say it's okay. BUT it's in a food court, the food comes out fairly quickly, and the ahjummas are nice and efficient. Let's bump it up a star because I know I'm not at an actual sit down restaurant. Solid joint for being in a grocery store."
"I came here for a small snack after getting free parking on the street in the nearby neighborhood. Suzy Siu's Baos is in a food stall in Krog Street Market. The employee at the front counter was quick, efficient, and helpful. The menu is simple, and customers get a discount whenever they buy in "SETS." For instance, a bao currently costs $4.75. However, if a customer buys 3 baos, the price is $13. There are other discounted SETS on the menu, which includes ramen, baos, rice bowls, specials and sides. I was only interested in the baos, and there were three different types that I was considering: Pork Belly, Korean BBQ and Carnitas.I finally ordered the carnitas bao at the register, and sat down at one of the four stools at the counter. I didn't even have to wait 5 minutes before my bao was served directly to me. The soft white fluffy bun was perfectly made - slightly sweet in flavor and spongy in texture. It was stuffed with hot and flavorful shredded carnitas (pork) meat. Even as a snack, one isn't enough. I guess next time I'll have to order baos as a set, so I can also try the pork belly and the Korean bbq beef. When I was eating my bao while sitting at the counter, and it didn't take long to eat my bao, three groups of customers came by to place their take out orders, so it seems that this food stall has steady business.I'm definitely coming back to try more items on the menu!"
