They don't do anything to keep costumer's safety. I hate to do this, but had to be done. Tacos de barbacoa are the best ones I've tried outside Mexico tho. It's a shame they just care about money, and easy and lame costumer service.

I work right around the corner and always take advantage of the cheap gas in the same complex so I thought why not walk over and grab some tacos....and I'm glad I did! I ordered 2 lengua (yes, that's beef cow tongue) tacos on corn tortillas with onions and cilantro. Waited about 3-4 minutes for them to freshly make my order. They bagged it up with green sauce which was absolutely delicious! The 2 tacos were delicious, simply made, hot and fresh with that damn good green sauce. I'll be back!

Short review: Great-$1.50 tacos! Great-Chicken and fajita on corn!Great-Green sauce!Great- Super good service!Great- Fresh and made to order!No- Closes on random Sundays No- Sometimes they don't understand non-spanish speakers.No- If you order anything that is not tacos you will wait longer.Taqueria Tonita is great I would give 5 stars but I haven't tried everything yet! They make everything to order! So you may be waiting a little bit. There are always people waiting whenever I go.There really isn't any other taco truck in this area and if there is I haven't gotten around to trying them or seen them for that matter.. I like to get the chicken and fajita tacos on CORN! They put cilantro and onions in them and they wrap each taco individually. They are usually generous with their chicken. Both sauces are good but the green sauce is the best, I always get extra but be careful its spicy and if you eat too much it will be all you can taste when you keep eating your tacos! The tacos are 1.50 each which is hard to find now a days .They have good FRESH flautas! But if you order this expect to wait even longer because they really do deep fry them right there and everything! Their rice and beans are okay! The rice was a little undercooked last time I went but it had a good flavor.I go to this truck maybe once a week or over the weekend. They state the hours are 6:30am-9pm but sometimes I've seen them stay open a little later except on Sundays they close sometimes .

Taqueria Tonita doesn't have the biggest or the best tasting tacos in Houston. That's OK. The tacos are good though and are $1.50 per. You never see a long line, but they do steady business during the mornings. This is a spot convenient for me to visit in the mornings and I go once a week.My favorite at Tonita is the barbacoa. Sometimes they are out of it, which is always a bummer and starts my morning off on a bad foot. They do offer the standard eggs and bacon, sausage, chorizo, chicharron, nopales, deshebrada, among others. You have your usual choice of corn or flour tortillas too. These tacos are average size and you may need two for breakfast.Andrew V. is on the money about the sauces being tasty. I especially like the green sauce which is spicy and creamy and goes great on any taco, especially the barbacoa. If you get one of the hot sauces, put out the fire in your mouth with the agua fresca of the day. The aguas are fresh and the large cup is the only size they have, but they are good and I always finish drinking them shortly after eating the tacos. There are a couple of ladies who take your order and both are friendly and you don't need to speak a lick of Spanish. Everything is made after you order, so the wait for two tacos for me is normally five to seven minutes. This is a reliable stop for me I'm glad I can go to in the morning.

Probably the best taco truck on this particular side of town. I usually just get the quesadilla with fajita, onions and cilantro covered in their green salsa (very hot). I live out in Cypress and still will drive 25+ minutes for their food.

If you're craving tacos and want to support your local businesses - this taco truck is the ticket! Located next to a gas station and a tire auto shop, this taco truck is easily everyone's go to around the Little York road area. Their tacos are $2 so quite the bargain. Their breakfast tacos are all day. However, we appreciate the different type of meats they offer. It reminds us of the taco trucks that would be literally on most street corners of LA. The tacos al pastor and carne are good, but you have to try the barbacoa, lengua, and chorizo. It's seasoned well and tender. So good with their green sauce or without it. Either way you'll be wanting to get a few more for a midnight snack!

Went there one morning a week ago to get breakfast tacos. No one would take our order. Other people, Hispanic, would come up and order, but they ignored us. Finally, they took our order, but after 15 minutes of waiting for 2 breakfast tacos, we told them nevermind. They said ok, good. Prejudice
