Wow! The quality and size of the donuts from this Shipley is totally unacceptable! What has happened to the plain glazed? They are half the usual size! We will not go to this Shipley again. Check out this photo. No good!

We were in the area and decided to finally try Shipley's Donuts. It was later in the morning. Not really early when we arrived to pick up their donuts. Inside, the donuts were laid out in front of us and the kolaches were to the side next to the cashier. We got a bunch of donuts and kolaches. Here's a breakdown of what we tried: Apple fritter (3/5): this wasn't too bad to me. My mom didn't like the cinnamon flavor. Maple iced (3/5): the icing was tasty, but the donut itself was dense and stale. Raspberry filled (4/5): my sis thought this was pretty good, with an ample amount of fruity raspberry filling and a soft, yeasty donut. However, my sis said she's had better. Chocolate iced (3/5): my lil bro thought this was overly sweet and his donut was stale. He was ok with the chocolate flavor, though. Sausage, Jalapeño, and cheese kolache (4/5): I think we all enjoyed this the most. There were real jalapeños in it , which gave it a nice kick and flavor. The sausage was tasty and adequate. The bread wasn't too bad either. If I go back to Shipley's, I'm definitely getting these. Overall, my impression so far has been that the kolaches are worth getting. The donuts not so much, since I've had better quality donuts from Krispy Kreme and even HEB (gasp, I know). However, I might give their donuts another go when I can come here earlier in the morning when they're more fresh. I'll likely stick to their OG donuts, like their original glazed, sugar, or cinnamon sugar.

Great place to stop by for breakfast. A six dozen box of donuts will only cost you $6. My favorites are the chocolate filled, the raspberry filled, and the Bavarian (custard filled). I don't recommend their coffee though; the cold brew black coffee that we got was sour. I think it's just the beans they use.

The size of the donuts are much smaller at this location. Prices are the same but you get thinner and smaller donuts! Won't be coming to that location again! This is posted on Dec 2023 New Year's Eve!

There are 2 Shipley locations within our house but we go out of our way here for the donuts and kolaches cause it really is the best around. Their kolaches are absolutely the best- soft, warm and the jalapeño slice they have in their gives the perfect kick. The plain glazed is also perfectly soft and almost melts in your mouth. Our daughter always goes in for the pink sprinkled donut. It's sickly sweet but hey, that's what a 2 year old wants and likes, can't argue with that. The staff here is also amazingly welcoming and always says interacts with our everytime we come in. We love Shipley's!

Just picked up these and the glazed are literally terrible. I'm not sure the cashier gave the same day ones or a few days old. I've been having Shipley's from childhood days and glazes donuts have never looked so dry or tasted old. So sad and disappointed! When I called the store to ask what the cashier gave, someone just answers the phone but puts it down instead of saying hello or talking. never going to this location again.
