Saruzzo's New York Pizzeria

My favorite little pizzeria in Friendswood. You can taste the fresh ingredients, making your pizza jam packed with flavor. I guarantee your mouth is gonna water! I have attached some pictures of my recent order. Pics don't lie Pros: Friendly, Great service, clean establishment Con: A couple times, I've had to recut my pizzas, because it wasn't cut all the way through.

The original Italian owner dosen't own this place any more so the new owner let this place go. No soda machine or ice. A/C not working at all. Pizza was very disappointment . I will not be coming back to bad the owner did pass along the Italian tradition.

We always order from here when we are in town. Their pizza never disappoints. Only thing that could possibly make it better is if they used provel cheese. It's a St.Louis thing. :)

Soggy , soup like grease bowl they named lasagna . Classic dish the English speaking kind kid recommended saying do does not like the spaghetti . Politely asked to talk with manager but manager does not speak English. Downgraded to cheese sticks. Asked at 8;45pm to eat outside as they are closing early at 8:50. Cheese sticks are cold in center and on bottom. Makes sense no one had been in this evening.

I don't want any business to fail, but they're putting a gross product out for consumption. It's obvious they're ordering inexpensive products, cheese isn't good, dough breaks apart easily (can't hold ingredients), overly greasy. You will definitely walk away feeling a little gross with an upset stomach. It's a shame, I was excited to try them out.

We came here for an end-of-year soccer party. One of the main reasons we chose this place is because it has a reputation for offering up cheap pizza that tastes good.I'd like to help change that reputation to outstanding New York-style pizza that can be bought on the cheap. Service here is friendly. Place is tight, but we still managed to get two soccer teams in here. Bathrooms are easily accessible and everything is clean. Self-serve on the fountain drinks.Why do I really like this place though? It's the pizza. Wonderful mega thin and hand tossed pies, tangy marinara, gooey mozzarella and salty pepperoni ... just like the stuff in NYC, except without angry cabbies blocking the box or shady folks trying to sell you an authentic North Korean-made Rolex.And certainly without New York prices...

Sorry but this does not taste like NY Pizza at all. Just moved here from Jersey City 3 months ago and have been missing pizza. This pie had no flavor and no sauce. The dough was a cardboard like consistency. There is no 'NY Turnpike' which is the name of one of their pies, that should have been my biggest clue when ordering from here. Not worth it.

I've been coming to Saruzzo's for almost 20 years (since they opened this location) and the sandwiches, pizzas, and calzones are always fresh and made to order. And if you are in a hurry, they have single slices available. Sometimes the wait times are longer than you might like but, other people are wanting the same things you want. It's worth the wait.Favorite sandwiches: 42nd Street, Jersey Shore, & New Yorker hoagies. In house made bread and fresh ingredients.Favorite pizzas: a customized Manhattan or the Lady Liberty.Favorite calzones: customized Manhattan or the Fifth Avenue.

Pizza is really good, came out hot fresh and fast!! Customer service is really nice and friendly! Drove a whole hour to try this pizza. Worth the drive !!
