Big pupusas for $2.25! The masa / stuffing ration is just right. Other places have too much masa, but I could tell by the stern face on the cook that she was gonna whip up her consistency. Yes, consistency.4 stars simply bc the interior design needs major help. I see why ppl only order take-out, but when you dine in the wait on food is not long. They only have waitress working both dine-in and takeout so that explains the delay.

I've loved pupusa for a while now so when i saw that this place was so close to me I decided eventually i would try them & i did. It kinda sucked that all the specials written on the chalk boards were in spanish so i asked the waitress for a menu, while i was flipping through it she was rushing me, giving me options of pupusas to choose from & telling me their prices instead of allowing me to browse the menu.. anyways, I finally get my pupusa and they are very big in size but also bland (chicken & cheese) they weren't horrible but they could use some work. I ended up adding salsa to them that i had at home. It was okay but I won't be back, maybe there other dishes are better but I expected the pupusa to be great since thats in the title of their name.. the lil veggie side dish was okay but not as spicy as I'm used to

The food is good /service 10 of 10 im not from Salvado soo i dont a lot food but what eat popusas was delicious

Best Salvadoran Restaurant on the Eastside. Limeño con pollo is possibly my favorite breakfast anywhere:) The food at this place does not disappoint. Try it!

Ambiance is ok nothing fancy, good happy music playing as we walked in. Every empty table was dirty. The waitress looked at us and did not even acknowledge us. We sat at a dirty table for about 5 minutes before she came to clean it never speaking a single word. A few minutes later she brought menus and expected us to order asap before taking our drink order. With this kind of attitude she doesn't need to be working anywhere. I Ordered the pineapple water (agua fresca) which is very tasty but at $4 a cup, I'm sipping on it.Ordered the Mixta Papusas which are beans, pork and cheese with a side of rice. The Papusas are just ok tasting with very little filling and the competitor in the area is way better. The rice was good, something different from the ordinary. The hot sauce was not hot. Waitress never came back to check on us, sad, sad, sad for business because I don't have to ever come back even if it was the best tasting food in Houston.I Just thought I'd give them a try since I was around here. Nothing special. Won't be coming back, they have an extra fee if you don't pay with cash... if you don't see the sign you don't even know. What's going to happen when everyone goes cashless?Three stars only because the 3rd waitress that came in and was smiling. She had a good demeanor, and because of the agua fresca.

Came here today with my fiancé. He is very picky about pupusas and usually always has something negative to say about each place we try. He actually found these to be very delicious as did i! And they are HUGE. We both got pretty stuffed on 2 each.

ordered a carne asada yesterday and initially it was cancelled by the delivery compnby because of police being infront of the business , i then called and had their own delivery service , got the food , ate it at my house , to make a long story short , this time the repollo was old , the meal looked way off ... i threw up th entire meal , it was bad food ...

I walked in at 8:05 pm. The place says they are closed at 9 pm.The lady at front cashier was so rude. She was having a full conversation with a customer about beauty supplies , and when it was finally my turn, she told me it's closed. I was standing there listening to them for a good 7-8 minutes, and for her to look me straight in the face and say they are closed when they are suppose to close at 9 pm. Do not recommend.

Recommend this place. Everything that we order was delicious. We ordered the carne asada plate and it was really good and well seasoned. They also give you homemade corn tortillas. The yucca con chicharron was great too! Overall this is a good hidden gem.

Tried this place today for the first time... (found them on Yelp) very clean inside, staff extremely friendly butttttttt the FOOD was soooo good. Me and my friend went and was not disappointed at all. Def going to be returning !
