I visited this restaurant on Thursday 03/14/2024 around 3:00p my server was Jason C , he was really nice the food was great.I did something that I don't usually do and hate doing and that's paying for my meal with my debit card my bill came out to $42.38I left a $6 tip which was . 36cents short of being %15 tip anyway it's because I never swipe my debit card anywhere that I can definitely pin point where and when I have used it so when I started getting all of these bank alerts I knew someone from that restaurant stole my card information I will never visit this establishment ever again it's disgusting to have employees that steal work there it's a shame patrons have to worry about this .Please Beware a den of thieves

Visited this location due to layover in Houston. Reminds me of Lucille's Bbq in CA. We loved the wings, pork belly bites & chicken fried chicken. Great service & ambiance!

Food was cooked perfectly the brisket combo plate does not disappoint they cook this meat to perfection it just melts with so much flavor I had to taste it again. The service was good.

Torn between a 3 or 4 star review. Service was excellent! The server was friendly, helpful, made good suggestions, and was generally on top of his game. The dining room and restrooms were clean, bright, and nicely decorated.The food was pretty good, but has lots of room for improvement. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day. Brisket, sliced pork belly, and turkey sandwich were all pretty dry. The Cherry Cola Pork Belly bites were exceptionally tough and dry. However, they all had fantastic flavors! The mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese were great! I LOVED the corn, give that a try for sure. They offered three different types of BBQ sauce which was fun to try, but they all had vaguely similar tastes, making me think that the base of each sauce starts the same. Maybe I'm wrong on that though. I'd go back and give them another chance to earn that missing star or two.

Some of these 1-2 star reviews are laughable. 1. Anyone that keeps saying waist not waste is an automatic pass for me. Waist is part of your body. People shouldn't even bother with that review. 2. The staff is not racist or judgmental like someone said. Texas is pretty diverse so no need to play the victim card. When we parked, there was a group of people just waiting by the door, but no one by the hostess. I walked up to the hostess and said how many were in my party, and we were immediately seated. Service as a whole was splendid. Our server made sure we got everything we needed. Food came out fast. We ordered several items to try. Yes it is pricey but the food we ordered was far from being bland. -sticky pork belly bites 5/5 - I really like the cherry cola glaze. The pork belly was not too sweet after the glaze.-Sunday's deviled eggs 5/5 - brisket on top of deviled eggs. Yes please. -Roy's chicken fried steak 5/5 - not your typical chicken fried steak from Ihop. Great quality, easy to cut. Peppercorn cream gravy was perfectly seasoned. The dinner rolls are moist not dry. I didn't really need butter on them. Cream corn pudding with jalapeño is a must have side. Not really spicy just a small kick.-Tim's crispy buttermilk fried chicken 5/5 - didn't get any dried chicken in the middle, very moist and tasty.

The reviews of this place brought me in, and it did not disappoint! THOSE DEVILED EGGS!!! Food was great. Service was good. Definitely will come back to try more things on the menu.

The Pappas name did not disappoint! This restaurant is a full 45 minutes to an hour drive each way from my home, so I don't get to go there very often. However, I'm happy to say that it never disappoints me when I breakdown and decide to make the drive. The food and service are usually hard to beat. Be sure to save room for their wonderful pecan cobbler dessert. Yes, I said, pecan cobbler and not peach cobbler. It is well worth the calories!

Let me get something out of the way first and foremost...I do not like BBQ. This place has proven me WRONG. The ONLY reason that I am not giving a 5th star is because of the customer service issue - which I will get into. 1. It was SLAMMED - we went on a Sunday afternoon, which was to be expected. I wish they had been associated with Open Table because that would've been a clutch. Instead, we had to call and wait and wait for someone to answer the phone so that we could be placed on a waitlist. 2. Somehow, someone from our party got us a table ASAP (honestly, I don't know how) on arrival. The problem is that our waitress was seated at a table of 14 just before us; she even said, "I don't know why the hostess seated you all so quickly after my large party arrived." So as you can imagine, she was pulled in a million directions. Her name was Mary, and she did an amazing job in the situation that she was put in. My problem with this is that I didn't see ONE PERSON helping her. Where was her manager? S/He should've stepped up and stepped in to assist her. Kudos to you Mary.3. The food was delicious. It was so delicious that I barely got any photos of the items before they were devoured. We got some deviled eggs and brisket nachos - both were delicious. The chips are homemade and so good, could use a little sea salt. I got the Pit Boss Burger medium rare for my entrée. The brisket was so juicy and nothing like I expected it to be. The burger was cooked to perfection. It came with fries, which I would not get again - I would sub in another side - they were not seasoned at all and just plain and cold for what they could've been. I would highly recommend this place for BBQ. I would also highly recommend calling ahead before arriving so you are "on the list" to be seated.

We came here when we visited (Webster) Houston. It was close to where we were staying. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend. The friendly servers made us feel welcomed. And the food is amazing. The Prime Beef Brisket is so tender and amazing smokey flavour. The Buttered Mashed Potatoes is super creamy. And the Pit-Smoked Pork & Beans, a nice balance of savouriness. The Prime Burger, doesn't disappoint. It's everything you need in a burger. Just writing this review makes me want to book another trip to Houston for some Prime Beef Brisket and Buttered Mashed Potatoes.Houston Experience. Complete.

We've been here on more than one occasion and haven't eaten anything not worth trying. First time here for lunch and wanted something light. I ordered the two meat combo salad with smoke chicken and turkey. It was well portioned, tasted delicious and was filling. The chicken was oddly dry but our server quickly offered to switch it and I ordered more smoked turkey. My husband always orders the prime brisket burger. And of course, I always have to take a few bites of it. It is a juicy burger cooked to order with a generous piece of mouth watering loose cut brisket. There's no denying the quality of this burger. I almost forgot to mention they also have a lot of good appetizers to choose from and a few decadent desserts. We shared the Mississippi mud slide. It didn't disappoint. It was a moist chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse. If you're a chocolate lover, it's definitely worth it. They do have an extensive drink menu in addition to specialty drinks. Their happy hour menu was ok. Like any good restaurant, this place does get busy at night but always has great service to ensure things run smoothly.
