Maytena Bakery

Picked up a cake last minute and it was delicious. I'm glad I found this bakery close to my house. I will be getting my cakes here from now on.

In not a big fan of Hispanic pastries, but I love Maytena's bolillos (Mexican version of French bread). They aren't full of air like the ones you might get at Fiesta or Joe V's Smart Shop. Instead they are heavy, doughy and filling. I buy some evert week or two.And if you do like Mexican pastries then you are in luck, because they have all kinds.

This location gets a Star because their tamales are awesome, but their customer service is horrible. We ordered tamales for this Christmas and they sold our order to people who walked in. Then the manager wanted to say that is the way we ordered it. Then she said that we must have changed the order, and then she said there must have been a mistake. If you take a look at our ordered, it was modified from 4, to 2 to 1. We had to feed a family of 50 and we only received 3 dozen only. When we ordered 7 1/2. She refused to help. Prices for this location have gotten extremely high. I literally just bought FIVE pieces of small bread for TEN dollars. I asked how much each piece was and lady in the register said each are $2. Just so you all know you will be paying $2 for every piece of bread. I've been coming here for years and never had to pay so much for one piece of bread.

5 Star review! Nothing like supporting the local bakery. These people work really hard and make great sweet bread. They also make home made tamales. I haven't tried any just yet but I have heard really good things about them. Their customer service is top notch. Gullerirmo and Josie helped us out. We got some tree leches cake for a birthday part and it was really dry. We called them they send come back and we will make it right. They sure did. They made us another tres leches cake that was extremely moist and good!Thank you guys. We will definitely suggest this place. Great food. Great client relations. Can't ask for more than that.

My family and i have been loyal customers. They have the best tamales (only on Saturdays) and cakes! Not only does the design always come out beautifully but the taste is always amazing. Highly recommend to everyone. Also for the look the price is very reasonable.
