Great good & service. Would definitely go back next time I'm driving through Giddings.

We come here fairly often and the service is almost always fast. The food is great, but sometimes a little greasy. The ambience is usually casual and it is a nice place to hang out or meet friends.

Came back for the quail and tried the Mexican Martini. They nailed both, as well as the beef fajitas and the shrimp stuffed fried avocado that others in our party ordered. And look at this special, which I've tried before. So much food, including steak, for great price.

Service was great in this place, food was hearty and delicious and arrived quickly. I knew I'd like the food when I saw Villa and Zapata on the wall. Will return. Say hello to Tacocat to complete your visit.

As a midwesterner turned Californian, it's just a fact of life that I've noticed service in the south to be comparatively slower than it is up north or northeast.Despite that, and all the slow service I experienced on my entire holiday visit to the south, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service at Los Patrones. The servers moved with purpose, urgency and immediacy and it made for the best dining experience I've had all week.

Los Patrones Mexican Grill in Giddings was just what I was needing after a weekend of hiking. I needed a good and strong margarita and lots of chips and salsa so I came to the right place. I can see why there are such great reviews about the place. I ordered the Border Sampler (Fajita quesadillas, nachos, stuffed shrimp jalapeños, and chicken fried burritos) which was great. The fried burrito was maybe my favorite. And the stuffed jalapeños this time were super spicy. So good and great attentive service too!!

The food is great. The only complaint I have is there's a musty smell in the restaurant. It's like the carpet got wet and never dried out. But the food outweighs the atmosphere. The Carne Guisada is top notch.

#Vegan #Vegetarian options! Superb food, customer service & affordable prices. They accommodate to vegan & vegetarians without any hassle. I recommend getting their 5 street tacos plate. Substitute the meat for grilled mushrooms. They make their rice & beans in veggie broth, so just ask for no sour creme & cheese on the sides. The chef makes the mushrooms different than the fajitas in the tacos (so they have more flavor & a crunchier texture than watery mushrooms). No animal products; aka extremely delicious VEGAN Tacos. Highly recommended!

About what you would expect for a Tex Mex restaurant in Giddings, Texas. We ended up here because we went on a last-minute camping trip yesterday morning and didn't want to deal with food at the park, so just grabbed some dinner at a local spot.It's a pleasant place that has seen better years, but the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We got sat at a booth and started with a frozen margarita (cloying, alcoholess) a Negra Modelo (icy cold, pleasant), and a truly nasty Horchata aqua fresco that our daughter refused to drink after her first sip. Chips with complimentary salsas were pretty good, but the queso was the melty gloop that doesn't have much to it. For dinner one of us got the chicken soup, which was honestly quite tasty. It had a wonderfully flavorful broth, tender chicken, and lots of veggies that made the whole thing a perfect bowl on a soggy night (great sides of avo, salsa, shredded tortilla too). The Los Patrones combination plate was less appetizing. The taco with ground beef got completely soggy, so it was a pile of mush by the time you tried to pick it up; steak fajitas were, uh, chewy. You have four different people helping you with four different things, and it was very wham bam, here you go, that's all folks. OK, this is starting to sound like we had a bad experience, and we really didn't. It's a decent spot, and about what we anticipated, so no hard feelings, and you could definitely have a nice, cozy night here.

Horrible service had to get up 3 times to get my own drink there was hair in my cheese and there was a smell like if someone died in there and there was also a lot of flys and than the guy had the guts to ask if I payed when he literally check me out horrible service
