"I ordered coffee and their peanut butter pie covered in chocolate. Good for those with sweet tooth and loves peanut butter. But recommend to share with someone. Too sweet to finish all by yourself. Support local businesses. This is one of them. Charming little place that also sell some cute knick knacks."
"I don't usually eat Texas barbecue but when in Texas I have to and let me tell you Black's Barbecue did not disappoint! We got the fatty beef brisket, jalapeno-cheese sausage and pork spare ribs to share. Everything was soo tender, juicy and just so good! For sides we got the potato salad, mac and cheese and cream corn. The sides went perfectly with the meat. I also love how you can grab your own onions, pickles and bread because I'm an onion girlie and need a whole lot haha. The workers were very welcoming and friendly and it's a big place with a nice and chill vibe. I know there's many barbecue places here in Texas but I think Black's Barbeque is definitely worth a try!"

"Came here as a result of seeing it on an episode of "The Day Tripper". Can only speak for the (to go) small pies since I didn't eat there. So far the strawberry rhubarb and Dutch apple were fantastic... heated at 350 degrees for 20+ minutes. Looking forward to trying the peach and cherry. UPDATE: The peach and cherry were excellent. I think my order of enjoyment was: strawberry rhubarb, cherry, apple, peach. Reasonable prices. Liked the ability to buy multiple small pies at $6 a piece instead of one big pie at $26. UPDATE: Upon arriving back to Dallas, I tried the strawberry rhubarb pie from USA TODAY's #5 Pie Shop in America (Grapevine, Texas). Texas Pie Company's crust is better but the #5's strawberry rhubarb filling was slightly better with slightly more sweet / tangy taste. If prices were similar, #5 spot would have just squeaked over as "the best" of the two but since their small pies are $17 and regular pies $45, Texas Pie Company has the edge. If only they were closer! The service was just "eh", probably judged a bit more harshly after seeing the engaging owner (Julie) on Daytripper who was no where to be found on my visit. Just folks (efficiently) going thru the motions. Nothing special. Great facade on the building exterior. Good addition to the city of Kyle."
"LOVE this bbq. The brisket, the ribs, and most of the sides are on point. Pro tip: Jalapeño/cheddar sausage isn't on the menu but they serve it until they run out. Try the sweet potato side and the mac n cheese. while the mac is a little peppery it's delicious."
"Very interesting walking in to the coffee shop! The people who work here are amazing and easy to talk to. I love how they have all the small pop up shops to where you can buy locally. The kolaches are amazing!"
"Their $9 whole smoked chicken on Wednesdays is definitely a steal, and the Family Pack #1 is a great value for feeding a group (which is what we were doing). It's no surprise that my husband and our family were impressed with their BBQ - their reputation for being one of the best in the area speaks for itself. Brisket DAMN soo good. There was no meat we didn't try and they all were excellent. My daughter thought the Turkey would be dry but, nope...#delicious. If you're ever in San Marcos or if you have friends visiting who want to experience excellent Texas BBQ, I highly recommend checking out San Marcos BBQ. You won't be disappointed! We never are."
"A Beautifully appointed space but the food is rather bland. Friendly yet slow service. I wish the food tasted as good as it looked."
"There's quirky charm to this place. Something about the ripped bench seating, run-down arcade machines, and dark unattended salsa station gives it a unique vibe. Despite the somewhat warm room temperature on a summer night, this place seems like a fun hang out place for the locals, especially with a bar that serves frozen margaritas. We just came here to try the food and hang out with some new friends.Food is ordered up front and then brought out to you. Drinks, salsa, and condiments are all self serve. I ordered the "Huge" seafood burrito for a moderate price of about $15 (July 2023). The burrito was a decent size, but was mostly filled with rice with 2 (maybe 3) pieces of shrimp and some fish. It was good, but I'll try something else if I ever come back. The complimentary chips were a bit stale, but it's complimentary. The service was disappointing, even after tipping a good amount. When asking for a to-go container, the person behind the counter was already in a sour mood. She unwillingly handed us one container. When we asked for a second, it came with an unpleasant attitude. I preferred if they had the to-go containers as self-serve to avoid the interaction. The salsa station offers jalapeños, red salsa, and pickled carrots. Love it. With that said, I question if any excess drippings fell back into the serving bowl from anyone's fingers because accidents happen when filling small plastic cups with large ladles. Is it still worth it? Worth it!Overall, I wouldn't choose this as my first choice of Tex-mex, especially because there are so many other options just miles down (Gringos, Lupe, El Tiempo [though expensive], and those smaller mom and pop shops). I truly wish I could love this place because it a local thing, but I'm not a fan of the service, atmosphere, or food. Maybe next visit would be better."
"I came for the Harry Potter paraphernalia... and stayed for the decadent drinks. I had the Salty Snitch with an extra shot of espresso which was a solid 10/10. I will definitely be coming back!"
"I found this hidden jewel while looking for a good burger place from where I work. This place popped up and needless to say the burgers are DELICIOUS!! The staff is friendly, Adrianna was who greeted us and helped us by letting us know what they have to offer. They have a cute covered patio with some fans. I will recommend this place to everyone at work!!"
"Never been here before, but since it's attached to Tin Top Burger Joint, we wanted to try it. First off, walking around the corner inside the building they were making their own waffle cones and it smelled amazing! We got a couple of different flavors and they were great. Salted Caramel with Pecan Praline 7/10 - it was a two scoop on the waffle cone. Both flavors were very good and the waffle cone was fantastic!Banana Pudding 8/10 - this one was interesting as you could taste both the banana and the Nilla Wafer. Not too overpowering, but was just good. You could tell from all the ice creams they were probably homemade and organic.Waffle Cones 9/10 - homemade and legit!Atmosphere 8/10 - nothing fancy, but has the feel of a retro old school ice cream shop. Very clean and nostalgic.Service 9/10 - our server was great!Overall 8/10 - definitely recommend checking this place out!!"
"This place is awesome probably a better description would be Taco Bell or Taco Casa on steroid and an authentic Mexican fast food experience! Been here twice while on a trip and the plates and tacos were tasty and enough to satisfy our cravings. They are open 24 hours which makes it a great option when you have the late munchies! Will definitely come back if ever around Texas as I seen this is more of a Texas franchise."

My girlfriend really wanted to try this place, since she saw that the owner was on a television show she liked. We decided to try it out since we were in the area. The place is in downtown area and is easy to find with decent parking.Once inside you get a nice little cafe vibe with the sweet smell of various sweets in the air. The employees are cheerful and the rush of excitement hits you with all the options to choose from. There is so much to choose from and the employees are very helpful with the description of each sweet. There is also coffee and other drinks to choose from and the selections are vast. The only small downfall is that it is pricey, and the to go boxes are huge! So be prepared. Other than that we do come here often to try all the variety of sweets.

If you're craving some seriously good Texas BBQ, Black's BBQ is the place to go. This spot has been around for ages and it shows--they've mastered the art of smoking meat. The brisket is always on point--super tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The pork ribs are just as good, with that perfect, melt-off-the-bone texture. The sides are solid, too. Whether it's the creamy mac and cheese, tasty potato salad, or the tangy coleslaw, they've got the perfect balance to go with all that meaty goodness.Black's BBQ is great for families, locals, and tourists alike. It's got that laid-back vibe where you know the food is going to be great every time. If you're in the area, definitely check it out--you can't go wrong.

Upon walking it (between 3-4pm) we were greeted immediately by Assistant Mgn David. It was my first time here, and he patiently went over the menu and its vast choices. The ambiance is definitely a Texas BBQ place, as we waited for our food (order to-go) we were greeted by multiple staff with smiles. From a Californian point of view, they showed us the southern hospitality. We order the 2 meat plate with sides: ribs, brisket Pull pork, turkey*The greens beans were delicious Don't know when I'll ever be in San Antonio again, but if I ever do. Definitely be visiting them again.

10MAR24This morning I had a salmon bagel so nice it knocked my socks off. Lox style set up with cream cheese, red onion, capers, tomatoes on a plain bagel. WtD was Mr R's haunt years ago and I vaguely remembered getting this before and that it was good. Still listed online so I asked to try it again as he was heading there for coffee. This one was so tasty and fresh I had to query Mr R about what he'd seen--maybe they were premade and stacked in the fridge but I got really lucky on the timing? Nope, he saw them slicing the onions themselves and putting the whole thing together. Generous serving, solid ingredients, well assembled for what can be a messy meal, worth the $14.50. Which makes me wonder about the jalapeño cheese kolache I'd enjoyed the day before. I'd assumed they sourced them elsewhere but was impressed with it. Perhaps they make them in house, I've no idea, I just know after 20sec in the microwave it smelled amazing and tasted great. Pepper throughout the sausage, enough cheese to satisfy without being egregious, tender pastry wrapped around it didn't seem to have been defrosted. Heck of a find that I got to enjoy only because Mr R needed to meet the $5 minimum to pay by card.Mr R had a jalapeño cheese bagel. It came with a shot of cream cheese on the side but they supplied butter when he requested it. He was very happy with it and always with their coffee.I can't speak to the coffee, hate the stuff, but based on these revisits you should have no fear about the vittles there.

Date Day with my honey! He surprised me with a new eatery and so glad to have stopped by The Oaks. We started off with the Hummus the order the Chicken Sandwich, chicken gumbo, and the Margherita Pizza! We devoured our delicious meal and had wonderful service throughout our time at The Oaks. What a wonderful surprise, we can't wait to come back and try other items off the menu.

My absolute favorite fish tacos from anywhere. These are the best! I make about a 40 minute drive just to go here for the tacos. If you sign up online, you can get a free queso. I usually get two original fish tacos with rice and refried beans. The cilantro line rice is so good. Try dipping a chip in the refried beans and top with jalapeños. Yum! OK, I'm hungry. I need more fish tacos.

"Excellent local coffee shop. We wanted something there than main stream Starbucks. This place is a local gem."
"We walked in on a Sunday morning for a pre birthday brunch. The wait was not long as our table was ready once we walked in. We were 8 total and everyone was pleased! Our server Isaac was on point and very polite. Always explaining menu items and answering any questions we had. We gave him a hard time with some "roasting" but he was a great sport!! Drinks were always refilled, always asking if we needed anything. He never gave us the impression that he didn't care. He mentioned he was once a busboy there and now he's a server therefore he knew what was expected of him. The food is always decent here but the service stole the show!! Thank you Isaac, we enjoyed our brunch!!!"
"Kyveka was our very attentive server, great service and our steaks were made to perfection. The 40minute wait for our party of 7 and a baby. It was totally hoping tonight but everything was on point."
"The food is freshly made. Great value for the price. The hamburger was tasty and you can customize it the way you want. I got grilled jalapeños. The fries are . Service was amazing and the manager came around the dining room to make sure everything was alright. This was our first time there and he gave us a coupon for a free breakfast sandwich so that we could try it out. I went the next day and the breakfast sandwich was delicious and very fresh and hot. The potato's they serve for breakfast are"
"The food is always delicious here, we usually get the Mon/Tue special the smothered hamburger steak, alternate the sides, the sweet potatoes is my favorite, my husband likes the green beans and my son prefers the Mac and cheese. My younger son would always get the baked potato with chopped brisket but he ordered the ox tails a few months ago and now that's his favorite. Service is always prompt and friendly. I've only eaten there once and the restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. I always go through the drive thru. So glad it's close to home, the food is still hot when I get home."
"The food was really great!! Warm, tasty, very home cooked Italian vibe. Will come back again while in town"
"I purchased a cake for my grandsons 4th birthday, I'm in CALIFORNIA, saw their website in Texas, thought I'd take a chance.. I WAS HAPPILY PLEASED WITH THIER CAKE AND CUPCAKES. Cake was delicious, cupcake soft and tasty( Kids loved them) . If you need a delicious bakery, this is the one to use, we ordered Power Rangers! It was exactly how we wanted! We will definitely keep this bakery on speed dial"
"Stop by on the way to a project. I was in the mood for street tacos but they were kind of pricey so I figured they'd be large. I ordered three one asada one Carnitas and one pastor. They were good size the asada had less meat than the other two but still was okay and acceptable. The food had good flavor but nothing like a wow factor. The waitresses were very nice smiled and we're very tentative. They close about 3:00 and sounds more like a breakfast lunch place. I'll have to try the breakfast tacos cuz I hear they are good. A three for now but will review this again and revise my reviews and start ratings if needed. There's so many more to try"
"This was a must try being new to San Antonio! We purchased a deal on Groupon and are so glad we did. The entire experience was wonderful! The monster and brownie batter mix was delicious!! I'd also recommend the experiment 626. We'll definitely be back for brunch!!! Yummy"
"New to the San Marco scene, the owner prides himself on customer service, personality and good food. I had a Philly and asked for sauce on the side as Rosemary can be over powering. Still felt as though I tasted it in the meat seasoning but it was good just different than a Philly Philly. I had a combo so was able to enjoy the poutine. Flavorful gravy and cheese curds for the win! Fun place, good food. Relax and enjoy."
"1/4 burger was awesomeHot and crispy fries!Plan to return and try out all the other yummy looking food. Bottled cokes yay! Great atmosphere inside and friendly staff."
"Yesterday, Just Like Mama's was invited to our neighborhood's weekly food truck event. Two words - "bomb diggity". They were set up and ready to serve on time and that is a huge plus in our neighborhood. We ordered the Crawfish Etoufee, Oxtails, Peach Cobbler and Banana Pudding. The portion sizes were enough for me to have left overs. I loved the creation of the Peach Cobbler wrapped with a waffle cone. It was tasty. Everything was perfect and I will definitely be on the lookout for them when I am craving Soul Food."
"Super friendly and welcoming staff! I got the brisket burger and it was THE BEST burger I've had in a really long time! The Beans were bomb and very well seasoned! I'd like to think I'm a BBQ connoisseur, and I Highly recommend Mr.G's."
"I am not a fan of BBQ but me and a coworker got it for lunch today and I do not regret it! I got the loaded baked potato with the chopped brisket and it was so yummy! Would recommend to anyone and will eat at again! *sorry I ate before the camera did*"
"I don't know how it's possible but this is the same donut shop that is every shopping center in Texas. They aren't anything special...but they aren't bad.The big downside to our visit today was that only the drive through was open...so we didn't know what we were getting ahead of time.Oh yeah and the egg biscuits were reheated and just ok. I expected more from a place that had 4.5 stars."
"Food ambience is great. Has s french vibe but they have something for every palette.."
"Crumbl in New Braunfels.....yeah! My kiddo loves their cookies but I've never tried it before. Stopped by for the first time and we were in and out in no time. I did order online so that helped a lot. We ordered a 4 pack box that included chocolate chip, chocolate cupcake, triple berry cobbler and the classic pink sugar. All flavors were warm except for the classic pink sugar which was surprisingly cold and my least liked flavor but my kiddo's favorite which worked out well for my husband and I. We ranked triple berry cobbler as the best, followed by chocolate chip, chocolate cupcake and classic pink sugar. The location is right next to Tia's tacos. It's logo is easy to miss so when you see Tia's, you know you're in the right spot. They change their flavors every week so I'm going to have to workout harder before the new flavors come out."
"Yes! 1000%! They have so many things to choose from! I tried the fried banana split and it was so yummy. A little too sweet for me but so good! I didn't take a picture because I was in the car driving but it was delicious and they are so fast at giving you your items"
"We've been twice. Each time the food and service were stellar. The ambiance is cozy and intimate. This place is well worth it."
"So happy one is here in San Marcos! Third time here this week. Not just for me & the hubby, but also for some treats for fam. Everyone here is so friendly, place is clean, orders taken fast & done right"
"Love the Rusa with Nieve de Garrafa in lime.. They have various flavors to choose from. I visited the new Mcpherson location but I didnt see a yelp check in for it. The corn in the cup is delish! A variety of fresh snacks to choose from. Excellent customer service & clean environment!"
"I really like this place. It has so many types of foods, snacks, treats, etc... The service here is great and environment is very comfortable. Everything tastes so good and still need to taste way more items. There are too many items for me to mention but I know you will love it. Come check it out..!!!"
"Fairly quick . Food was good . It did give me a stomach ache but idk what else I expected ordering hot Cheetos and cheese . That's not their fault lol"
