"I ordered coffee and their peanut butter pie covered in chocolate. Good for those with sweet tooth and loves peanut butter. But recommend to share with someone. Too sweet to finish all by yourself. Support local businesses. This is one of them. Charming little place that also sell some cute knick knacks."
"Found this spot and since it's close to Gruene Hall, I incorrectly assumed it would be pricey. What a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed a chai latte and an avocado toast. I am so glad I didn't settle for that certain overrated chain You know the one Really pleased that anywhere you sit you have access to plugs and USB ports. It's such a nice coffee spot for working! Lots of local shops all around for taking a stroll and doing a little shopping. Great counter service! Will definitely be back!"

"Very interesting walking in to the coffee shop! The people who work here are amazing and easy to talk to. I love how they have all the small pop up shops to where you can buy locally. The kolaches are amazing!"
"We can were for a birthday brunch and it was very disappointing, largely due to the service. The restaurant itself is very dated, doesn't appear very clean, plus the general furnishings are unimpressive and not very comfortable. The food was decent, that was the reason the rating was 3 stars. I had the Chesapeake eggs which was tasty. Our server was the issue. While she was pleasant, she simply didn't listen and messed up the orders, then took over 30 minutes to get the check right. This place follows the trend of restaurants in Corpus Christi with 4 star prices and 3 star experiences."
"Every time I order a drink from Tantra, I'm always a bit let down. Not even their iced latte seems worth it to me, as their prices are a bit high for what you get. This last time I ordered a Paris Fog tea, which is black tea, whole milk, and vanilla syrup. It was okay, nothing special but something about it tasted a bit off -- I totally think that's my fault though because I asked if they could use sugar-free vanilla syrup instead. Rookie mistake. I do have to say though, their hibiscus tea sweetened with agave syrup is pretty good.I love this place more for shows than the menu. They have a lot of cool local bands that come to play, not only from San Marcos but also the NB and Austin area. The shows are (usually) free and it's always nice to sit outside (when the weather is merciful) and catch up with friends."
"Hester's offers a truly fresh and delicious experience. I had the Texas Turbo Brownie, and it was everything you could want in a dessert--rich, fudgy, and with just the right amount of espresso to give it a nice kick. The homemade pecan praline filling on top was a perfect touch. The staff was also incredibly nice, making the visit even more enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back and trying more yummy treats! Thank you!"
"I came for the Harry Potter paraphernalia... and stayed for the decadent drinks. I had the Salty Snitch with an extra shot of espresso which was a solid 10/10. I will definitely be coming back!"
"I wanna post this review and I need to be HASTYBarbi likes to show her boob off with a PASTIEI need to go tanning cause I'm getting kind of PASTYDamn I think I just repeat-rhymed with the word PASTYAnyway I think you should come try the snacks and coffee at TASTEAWHATI like this place out in Rosenberg, which is an area that doesn't have a lot of good Boba or international food in general. Here, they do. They definitely have "tasty" Vietnamese coffee, some great snacks, and are pretty friendly. All in all, it's a good place to come and get Vietnamese food and snacks and drinks, and one of Rosenberg's best, for sure."
"This café is absolutely delightful! The presentation is charming, and every bite feels like it was crafted in the clouds. The textures--from the pasta salad to the peanut butter chocolate chip muffin--were amazing. I also appreciate that they offer vegetarian options even though I'm pescatarian - some times I do want cheese and veggies! I love their "life's short, eat the cookies" sign. I AGREE.The atmosphere is adorable, and I'd happily return. Parking is a bit limited, but street parking should work fine. It's such a sweet spot, perfect for anyone visiting Corpus Christi. Definitely stop by and support local businesses!"
"Wow what an experience! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted w/a warm smile from the entire staff. The ambiance is super cute and the service/server amazing!! I got the Chicken and Waffles (egg whites only) and my husband got the Hangover burrito. We both loved the food. Highly recommend asking for hot sauce on the side (its pretty spicy but so good)."
"Once again I'm trying to just chug this coffee I paid too much for bc I need the caffeine but it's not up to their previous standards. When we moved to the area, Apollo's was some of the best coffee I had from ANYWHERE. Lately there's been a decline in taste and customer service. Very disappointing.Seeing that the owner or employees have responded rudely to reviews is something I consider to be unacceptable as well."
"Our family visited Babes for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I have gone all over the country trying lots of different kinds of donuts--some yeasty, some heavy, some potato (shoutout to Holy Donut in Portland ME), some overly sweet, some bland, some greasy etc. But I have NEVER had a donut as pillowy and airy as the one at Babes. It wasnt too sweet or even greasy. I have no idea how they do it, but it was what every donut should be and more. I ate a fruity pebbles one expecting sweet and heavy, but I could have eaten a few more and not felt like I was weighed down. They dont have a lot of choices, but even a simple donut hole will amaze. We also had the breakfast sandwiches on biscuits and croissants and those were really good too at a very reasonable price for size and quality which is scarce these days. And the Americano was great (2 shots for only $3 and change). The only cons are the tables were sticky and there isnt great signage so we walked past it twice. You must make this your next breakfast stop!!"

My girlfriend really wanted to try this place, since she saw that the owner was on a television show she liked. We decided to try it out since we were in the area. The place is in downtown area and is easy to find with decent parking.Once inside you get a nice little cafe vibe with the sweet smell of various sweets in the air. The employees are cheerful and the rush of excitement hits you with all the options to choose from. There is so much to choose from and the employees are very helpful with the description of each sweet. There is also coffee and other drinks to choose from and the selections are vast. The only small downfall is that it is pricey, and the to go boxes are huge! So be prepared. Other than that we do come here often to try all the variety of sweets.

This place is so cozy. We love to visit this little area before going down the street to the shops in Gruene. I ordered a vanilla bean iced latte. I loved the flavor. It had just the right amount of sweetness which I need in my coffee. Service was great. The girls at the counter were nice and welcoming. They have a variety of flavors for coffee as well as baked goods. There's seating both inside and outside on their patio.

10MAR24This morning I had a salmon bagel so nice it knocked my socks off. Lox style set up with cream cheese, red onion, capers, tomatoes on a plain bagel. WtD was Mr R's haunt years ago and I vaguely remembered getting this before and that it was good. Still listed online so I asked to try it again as he was heading there for coffee. This one was so tasty and fresh I had to query Mr R about what he'd seen--maybe they were premade and stacked in the fridge but I got really lucky on the timing? Nope, he saw them slicing the onions themselves and putting the whole thing together. Generous serving, solid ingredients, well assembled for what can be a messy meal, worth the $14.50. Which makes me wonder about the jalapeño cheese kolache I'd enjoyed the day before. I'd assumed they sourced them elsewhere but was impressed with it. Perhaps they make them in house, I've no idea, I just know after 20sec in the microwave it smelled amazing and tasted great. Pepper throughout the sausage, enough cheese to satisfy without being egregious, tender pastry wrapped around it didn't seem to have been defrosted. Heck of a find that I got to enjoy only because Mr R needed to meet the $5 minimum to pay by card.Mr R had a jalapeño cheese bagel. It came with a shot of cream cheese on the side but they supplied butter when he requested it. He was very happy with it and always with their coffee.I can't speak to the coffee, hate the stuff, but based on these revisits you should have no fear about the vittles there.

Yes this place is as good or better than the pictures. Easily one of the best if not the best food option in all of Corpus Christi. The croissants are Ridiculous. Best I have ever had including Paris. It's literally a sin coming here and not ordering a croissantThe service is top notch and beyond friendly and the ambience is beautiful. This time I got the breakfast sandwich bacon egg (over easy) and cheese of course on a croissant. Wifey ordered an eggs Benedict but did a double swap on the ham for bacon and muffin for one of their Epic Croissants. Both of us were blown away. We even got a dessert croissant to go. Our son loved crawling around the place and the beautiful rose wall. Overall it was a major family win of a meal. And ohhh yes we DEFINITELY will be back

In town for a soccer tournament, and hungry for breakfast, the family and I googled nearby breakfast places. No chain restaurants, and something close by were the two criteria. Hester's it is. We pulled into the parking lot and strolled right in. Upon walking in, we see a quaint little cafe with a lot of patrons. Lots of folks talking, so we glanced around at the tables to see what the food looks like, and all of it looks delicious. This is a walk up to the counter, and they bring it to you sort of place. We looked at a menu and a nice fella in a Hester's shirt walked up to us and asked if we had any questions. He informed us of breakfast hours and when lunch started, and to let him know if we had questions. As we approached the counter to order, we saw a glass counter full of delectable looking desserts and cheesecakes. I was half tempted to skip breakfast and go for dessert. Eh, maybe next time. The wife ordered the Louis Armstrong, and I ordered the Duke Ellington with a griddle cake. The kiddo ordered eggs, bacon, and a "cloud cake." I asked what a cloud cake was, to which they informed me it was what they called a pancake. Wife ordered water, while the kiddo ordered a canned soda. I opted for an iced tea since it was refillable. We did not see any options for fountain drinks, so that was sort of a bummer. We returned to our table and waited for our food and conversed with our friends. The wait seemed a little longer than we had liked, but the place was busy, so no harm, no foul. Our food was delivered to our table and we got right to work. The wife was satisfied with her dish with no complaints. It was a pretty simple plate, so it was hard to mess up. My plate was delicious as well. No complaints. The kiddo enjoyed her plate as well. Only complaint was that they burnt the cloud cake. Had she not been so consumed with her conversation with her friend, I would have sent it back. She did not seemed too concerned it was burnt. That being said - it was not enough for me to deduct any stars from the visit. Next time, I will send it back, or request it not burnt when ordering. Overall, we all were pleased. Next time we are in this neck of the woods, we will return. I am going to try and go back for the cheesecake before we leave town. Highly recommend. Stop by and give them a try. Enjoy.

I love Harry Potter so hubby surprised me with a trip to this Harry Potter inspired coffee house. He got the Pepper up and I got a Mad eye. They were both really good! The people are very nice but the shop is small. This is a must stop if you love Harry Potter and good coffee!

My co-worker and I dined today for lunch. She had soup and chicken spring rolls and I had the tofu spring rolls. It was extremely hot inside the restaurant and the two ladies behind the register were arguing the entire time. Lol, other than that the food was awesome as usual.

"My new favorite ice cream shop in New Braunfels. That other ice cream place with an animal in its name let me down too many times. I'm glad I have a new goto that's way more enjoyable and satisfying. They are family-friendly. They let you sample all the flavors and not just two like other places. The flavors are fun and unique. My preferred pairing is the Taro with the Lavender Earl Grey. I sampled the Whiskey Caramel Cheesecake, Banana Pudding, & Pistachio. They had others such as Vietnamese Coffee, Cookies-n-Cream and two nondairy flavors to say the least. They even had beer floats! I don't understand how anyone could consume that. It's not for me but they have it.There aren't any places to sit other than four bar stools against the slim counter against the window so this is an in and out kind of place. There is a bench outside. From now on I'm going to bring my friends here. They always provide very friendly service also!"
"Excellent local coffee shop. We wanted something there than main stream Starbucks. This place is a local gem."
"It's a tiny little shop but the patio is nice! The drive through is always quick and the workers are nice and talkative. Good sized coffees and lots of options along with the classics."
"I was feeling lazy and didn't want to cook breakfast for my tribe so I drove down the street to get some kolaches and donuts. The selection of donuts in this place is great. Everything from large and fluffy cinnamon buns, regular donuts, bear claws, and all their sweet cousins is in the case. My son gave good ratings for the cinnamon roll. My 4 year old loved the chocolate muffin I got her. My oldest and my husband wanted kolaches. The way my husband talks about these things makes him sound like a love struck boy pining for his crush. He described them as heavenly with soft bread on the outside and beautiful spicy jalapeno sausage enveloped in cheese on the inside. He was not wrong. I had the Boudin Kolache which was I would get again. I thought it might be mushy because of the rice but let me tell you it was not. It had just the right amount of moisture to make the sausage sing but not make the bread soggy. Just lovely. I will definitely be back."
"This is a very cool little place hidden away by the big HEB on McPherson. I came here after seeing they had some plant-based options tucked away between all the meats! My Miller Lite was cold and the service was super attentive. I was lucky to get a table in this tiny spot and it wasn't until the meal started that I noticed they had a small bar in here. I ordered the mushroom tacos lunch combo, which came with beans. The Frijoles Puercos, on the menu, are listed as what in English means "pork beans." The beans came with chunks of smoked pork and some sausage in them. Absolutely ridiculously delicious. My mushroom tacos were good, but not loaded up much. Still, though, they hit the spot. On a wild hair I also ordered a fideo taco - fideo being a Mexican pasta and comfort food. It basically is a legit Mexican version of a spaghetti taco. The taco was difficult to eat neatly, but I managed to get it all down. If I ever find myself back in Laredo, I would definitely return. The experience here was unique."
"Super nice staff, great menu, wicked good coffee, such cool merchandise. 10/10! Need I say more? Apparently so. Been prompted that I need more characters in my review. Folks need to try the Cafe de Olla. It's yum!"
"Ordering ahead is definitely the way to go. Dutch brothers is a laid back on the go option for the working person. I'm not a fan of the muffin tops but the drinks can be customized and there is multiple sugar free options."
"Great local spot to pick up breakfast. We love supporting small. There's no dine in right now due to Covid. Sanitizer is available for customer use. There's a very large selection of donuts and kolaches available- they even have breakfast tacos! Everything I have tried is delicious. Give the boudin a shot!"
"Best churro I've ever had and the coffee is great! Very friendly service. If Yelp says closed swing by anyways because he's likely open."
"Hold on to your hats people, Brown has some serious competition for my caffeine dollars! If you had told me that I was going to get real old fashioned hand pulled espresso on the square in San Marcos, I would have been intrigued, but still mildly skeptical. But this place is the real deal! The hand pump truly brings out the skills of the barista who now works with the complexity of coaxing the best flavor out of the coffee without acridity, and these guys have a fabulous one. This espresso had the creamy mouthfeel that is rarely found in coffee shops these days (and yes the kind of bean and roast matters, but still). The espresso was a sheer delightful expression of the coffee blend roasted till its deepest darkest character was revealed. A gorgeous crema topped a wonderfully toasty decoction with aromas of bitter almonds that faded into a floral finish. The artfully pulled espresso is complemented by very well made Cubano's and flat whites (that rival the ones I had in Australia).I had thought about not writing about this place in case ..they become too popular and my wait times increase, but they are too good to not be on your radar, especially if you are a coffee lover."
"Have visited this shop several times in the past few years. This is a small drive through coffee shop that upholds the coffee business and request of hundreds of residents in the area. On the Grind Coffee has a pretty good drive thru setup to enhance the speed of your coffee.Their Creative and delicious flavors positively sets them apart from any other but what I love the most is their friendly Costumer service."
"Great little spot in Marion for some cocktails or coffee, breakfast or lunch, and a quaint atmosphere with a neighborly vibe. I have not been in the evening when they offer live entertainment but I'm hoping to visit again soon."
"The sweetest most beautiful staff, and the sweetest most beautiful hot chocolate. They adored my rescue dog and gave her a puppychino. When a business goes out of their way to give free treats to good boys & good girls, it's safe to say they have hearts of gold. Thanks y'all."
"This is a great little find. We were in the area for a brief weekend away, and wanted to find a nice local coffee shop. While I'm not the coffee person, they did make a great earl grey for me. My partner thoroughly enjoyed her coffee though. The owners is super friendly and very welcoming. If it's nice enough, sit outside and maybe walk around. There's a tiny chapel there that is a great spot for a quiet moment to yourself."
"The southside of San Antonio is a coffee house desert, but Corner Coffee and More is a refreshing oasis. They have a large drink menu with some fun specialties like the Canela Loca. (If you don't speak Spanish, Google it. You'll get the idea.) The ambiance is a little industrial but clean. In fact, they have a 100% health code rating. There's free Wi-Fi, and it's a good spot for working. Plenty of people bring their kids for the ice cream type drinks. It's very family friendly. The service is really welcoming, and they play a nice variety of music."
"I've been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally made for lunch today. It's definitely the beat fried chicken wings we've ever had. They were sweet and spicy with a crazy crisp on them. We are definitely coming back!!!"
"Really friendly staff. Asked for something that wasn't on their menu and the staff was able to suggest something similar to what they carry. Drinks were fantastic, looking forward to visiting again."
"I don't know how it's possible but this is the same donut shop that is every shopping center in Texas. They aren't anything special...but they aren't bad.The big downside to our visit today was that only the drive through was open...so we didn't know what we were getting ahead of time.Oh yeah and the egg biscuits were reheated and just ok. I expected more from a place that had 4.5 stars."
"Finally a bakery that sells more than cupcakes in Eagle Pass! I had read great reviews on Facebook and was surprised they didn't have a yelp yet. The shop is a remodeled house that goes for a rustic/modern approach. The house is very clean and very well lit with a bunch of natural lighting. I ordered quite a bit of everything they had available. I got a chocolate chip cookie, a banana bread, a peanut butter and jelly oatmeal cookie, a blueberry tart and a honey mint green tea. Everything came out to a total of about 13 dollars which I though was extremely reasonable. My favorite by far was the peanut butter and jelly oatmeal cookie, it sounds like an overload of flavor but it actually makes a great combination! Everything else was very good, the chocolate chip cookie was very fluffy and filled with chocolate chips! The green tea was good, although it seemed a little bit diluted with the ice. They nailed the sugar content but it could use a stronger flavor. The only downside I had was that the option availability did seem scarce. But! They are fairly new in town and I'm sure their getting used to the demand. I must add, all of the products seemed and tased very fresh. I believe I saw an espresso machine, so I hope their drinks are espresso based! Can't wait to try it out!"
"Food ambience is great. Has s french vibe but they have something for every palette.."
"Super great coffee, cookies, ambiance, and ownership. Ariana was very sweet and conversational. Give this place your business. Local coffee houses are amazing and this one doesn't disappoint. Organic milk too! Highly recommend"
"Read a lot of reviews on this place. Maybe they have a new chef or something because the food was actually decent tasting, came in quick and the waitresses were super nice and helpful. I ordered the chicken Alfredo, likes the chicken cuz it was grilled, the sauce was good and my garlic bread was not burnt so I liked that. All our food tasted fresh and warm. I am pregnant right now, so it's hard to find food that won't make my stomach upset. Next time I will come at an hour during the buffet."
