Thank you Spoke n Bird for the best outdoor café in SL! Always fresh delicious food, drinks & exemplary service. In case you're not aware, the ordering app takes a very long time to move to the pay page. Happens every time U order at the table. Please check on it if possible. Other than that no complaints whatsoever. Thanks again.

If you sit down inside, it is still a "to go" experience, just at a table - Very over priced, food truck food at food truck food prices. If you order an omelet, it comes with nothing on a plate large enough to show you all the liquid that has oozed out from the omelet. If you get the BLT, make sure you open it to check if all components are there before you take a bite. It's pretty much self service except when they unceremoniously drop your sans bacon BLT off. Sugar? Get up and find it. Something to stir the coffee with? Get up and find it. Want some water? Get up and find it. But pay full service prices and don't forget to tip!Yes, we addressed the concerns at the time and they did bring out bacon. This review is to alert everyone to the fact that the pictures on the website are very misleading, this is not a full service sit down restaurant with cute designs in the coffee foam, ceramic coffee cups or nice plating. And the owner has clearly gotten these comments before and chooses not to address them, she prefers to make assumptions about why people leave negative reviews rather than change the pictures on the website to let people know its a food truck with a place to sit.

Ambiance: 3/5. They have a weird layout that they seem to be in the building with a school or something. You have to order at the patio and then they ask if you want to be seated inside or outside. The outside does look nice, but the inside looks a bit dated. There's a good amount of space for people to sit.Food: 4/5. I got the Grits seasonal bowl with turkey sausage with a fried egg. I'll be honest at first it didn't look appetizing. The first bit of the grits was a bit bland... BUT once I mixed in the peppers cheese and sausage, the flavor was hitting! I asked for hot sauce which they provided but it honestly didn't need it after I mixed the entire dish. I'm no expert in grits, but the flavor was solid! Coffee: 1/5. I ordered the BananaBread latte, and didn't get any hint of banana. Disappointed and didn't like it. They have a lot of other selections so maybe those are better. But I think the food is definitely better. Overall, I give this place a 3.5. Food was solid and if you're in the area it's good to satisfy your breakfast need.

A very confusing and disorganized concept. This is some kind of pop up stand slash food truck that has an attached patio, as well as some kind of indoor shared space, like an open concept kitchen. There are no waiters or staff other than the back of house folks. You're directed to find somewhere to sit, scan a QR code menu and order. The menu they have is substantial, this place doubles as some kind of retail farmer's market for your organic conflict free fru fru feelings farmer to table fermenting. You order outside and hope you are found after placing an order. If you have any kind of dietary challenge you need to find somewhere else to eat. I wasn't wowed by the flavors. Overpriced and bland. Egg sandwich was fairly rubbery and took about 20 minutes to get to me.

A cute and very much the only coffee shop close to residential area in south loop with both indoor and outdoor spaces. Their food was surprisingly good. I had grits with mushroom and it was delicious. They do not have their own WiFi so you have to connect it to Chicago park district WiFi.

A nice local spot to stop for a drink. They have both indoor and outdoors seating. We opted to get out of the elements after a 4 hr walk and sit inside. The peppermint tea came quickly and was piping hot.The bathrooms were plentiful and very clean.I recommend this place for a snack or a drink. A great place to rest your weary feet.

The drinks were the saving grace. It was Extremely short staffed for the very large amount of seating/serving area. 80% of the menu sold out in the first few hours. Staff were great but stretched thin. Would not have spent my time here if I knew it was going to be such a mess. The pictured food below was totaled out to $45 (not including the drink)... Shame on the owners.

Nice cafe with indoor tables and a outdoor patio with shade and tables. Order at the trailer then your food is ran to your table where you are sitting. Nice brunch offerings I tried the brioche breakfast sandwich and had a mimosa. For the price the mimosa is small but saw the bloody Mary and the glass was larger for similar price. Food came out in timely manner all staff was friendly and explained everything.

I was in Chicago for a conference and was getting tired of the overpriced conference food. This breakfast spot was a less than ten minute walk from McCormick place and it was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. I got the breakfast brioche but asked to sub mushrooms and tomato instead of ham. It was perfect! Capuccino was great too. Loved the outdoor seating in the garden. Service was fast and friendly. They also spelled my name correctly on my coffee cup. Great way to start a long conference day!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite co-working spaces - perfect for work from home folks looking for a change of scenery. Order at the register when you walk in and find a seat in the adjacent room. The order is brought to you. S&B shares a building with 2 children's spaces. There will be noise, but I've found it's not especially invasive (noting that I mostly work with headphones, though). Occasionally a parent/child duo will join and the noise will increase slightly, yet not unbearably. There's plenty of outdoor seating for warmer weather. I haven't tried the food yet, but they have several food options that I look forward to trying.
