Flo & Santos

We had dinner here at the suggestion of a friend who lives in Chicago, and this is their favorite pizza place. Thin crispy crust, plenty of options, good beer selection, nice discounts / specials on drinks, and the patio was a great spot on a summer night. The vibe is cool and I would come back to try more of their specials too.The touristy deep dish pizza spot had a 1.5 hour wait, here we walked right in and our food came out fast too. Great service.

07/30/24 - Tuesday dinner. Despite crowd, we were seated immediately on the patio, and the servers were attentive. The patio offers a view of the train, but isn't noisy enough to drown out conversation. The Farmers Market pizza has rotating toppings weekly - we ordered it with artichoke, olives, spinach, and red peppers. I'm not sure if these toppings are actually sourced from a local farmer's market, but they were definitely the highlight of the pizza, all tasting fresh. The crust was just okay: a bit too salty - perhaps due to no marinara sauce.This wouldn't be my first choice for a pizza, but they had a large menu of other dishes, and the ambiance was excellent for a summer evening.

Great ambiance here and very reasonable prices for what you're getting. The staff are attentive and will check in with you often, but not annoyingly so.There are also great deals for most days of the week for various food and beer selections, so if you're frequently in the South Loop you can find some variety on different days. Saturday has a great beer deal so that may be of interest to many.

Great option for outdoor summer dining with beer. Friendly service. BBQ pizza - 4/5. Pickled red onion, tangy sauce. Fun pizza with crisp crust. I prefer it without bacon.Mozzarella sticks - 4/5. Simple and effective

Pretty good tavern-style pizza. We had the cheese & s'mores. Nice beer menu, according to the husband. It was a nice tavern. It would be a nice place to watch a game.

A nice dive bar with great staff, good drinks, and tasty food. I was staying in the neighborhood during a conference in Chicago. Flo & Santos was a fun cafeteria and living room for me. Most importantly, they make very tasty (thin crust) real pizza; not those strange deep dish Chicago concoctions.

Had a taste for pizza so definitely went to Flo and Santos! The friendly professional staff is so exemplary. Very patient and accommodating to my customized pizza request. Even brought a fresh bowl of water for my dog. And I mean look at this picture of a delicious 8 inch pizza with the meltiest cheese, juicy chicken chunks, marinara sauce, and drizzled with tasty fresh pesto! The huge serving of waffles for this combo was a nice bonus! Tried but could not finish it all. Such a comfortable spacious patio too! Great gem for our South Loop hood!

Big patio and really nice sports bar/neighborhood pub vibe. Beer and spirits selection was expansive. Lots of different food options. The kielbasa was excellent as were the pierogis. Sauerkraut was mild and the potato pancakes were not latke style - super thick! Service was quick. Overall very good!

Stopped in for dinner and tried a few items on their menu. I loved the thin crust tavern style pizza. Ziggys bbq pizza: I did not like bbq sauce they had on this. It tasted like they made their own but it was overly sweet. Build your own: I really like this pizza, it was cheesy which was good. Meatball sandwich: probably my least favorite item that we ordered. The meatball was kind of dry but the waffle fries crispy. Overall, service was good and I would go back to get a build your own again!

Stopped by for a late night dinner and we were craving pizza! I'm not a super big deep dish fan so I was excited to try tavern style. Overall, it was a pretty solid place but the drink specials are what drives the crowd here. The meatball sandwich was okay - a little on the dry side. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was pretty good! I would get that again. Also, if you check in on yelp, you get a free order of donuts!
