A lot better than expected and it was actually good. Dragon Bowl is a crappy looking old place. It's close to the stadium so great place for picking up food when seeing the White Sox. Could be a little sketchy around here. There's generally not many problems thankfully. Came in awhile ago. It looks like a cheap ass place but it's better than it looks. The area sucks kind of but it's not that bad though. It has an indoor dining area. There's only a few tables. I had the Sweet Cashew Tofu for carryout. It's about $10 for the only size, the large. This is filled with cashews and tofu. Good if you like cashews. The tofu is cooked enough that it's not too hard or soft. It kept up well reheating it later. The rest of the menu doesn't have much else that good unfortunately. It was the one thing good enough to get me back here. They also have delivery if you aren't coming in. Has lots of common Chinese American food. It's certainly not the best but it's good for around here. They have a few items acceptable for vegans such as tofu.

This place apparently is under new management since the last time I visited! Close to IIT and the red line. Great value for the amount of food you get. I ordered some chicken skewers and fried chicken recently and the portions for huge and the meat was all very juicy and flavorful. I highly recommend checking out this convenient spot if your craving food at night or anything. The delivery person is really funny and sweet.

This is my second time ordering Dragon Bowl this week and honestly this place deserves a 5-star review. Earlier this week I had a fruit smoothie, and my boyfriend had orange chicken with chicken fried rice. I thought I wasn't hungry but when I smelled that fresh orange peel scent on the chicken I had to dig into his plate. I typically only like the orange chicken from PF Chang, most places are too goopy- but this was absolutely delicious. On tonight's menu is the Spicy Beef noodle soup- my certified go-to when I'm sick. The portions are huge, the flavors are perfect. They never take more than 10-15 mins I order and the prices are super decent.

I've been ordering from Dragon Bowl for a while now and never really had a problem. Today I decided to order the Chirashi Don Rice Bowl and discovered this in my rice. I have no idea what it is, but it's disgusting. The bowl itself contained only 1 piece of salmon and 3 pieces of tuna (all other fish had 2 pieces). I was looking forward to the salmon. The tofu pieces in the miso soup has been significantly smaller. Overall, pretty disappointed to think I spent $25 on this meal.

Gross. Why is it impossible to find noodles with vegetables anywhere around here? I got hard noodles with veggies in a gelatinous goo. Also, tasteless.

We chose to take-out a huge order from here because it had multiple options, from sushi to Chinese entrees to Thai "inspired" (and I use that very loosely) dishes. We ordered the following: spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, california roll, unagi roll, salmon sashimi, panang curry with tofu substituted for the chicken, large hot and sour soup, fried chicken wings appetizer (for some reason I was super craving chicken wings that day), and a free chicken fried rice (comes with orders over $35). Our total was $65, which is a hefty amount IMO, but we got a ton of food. The sushi here always seems very fresh, and I know they make it to order because when I walked into the restaurant, they were still finishing up making our rolls. The sushi had a good rice to filling ratio, and the pieces of fish weren't all too skimpy. My favorite sushi was the salmon sashimi (2 pieces) and the unagi, which was sadly a smaller 6 piece order. Don't get the chicken wings! These were the skimpiest, saddest, dried out wings ever. Womp womp. Probably because most people don't order this, so who knows how old it was. Panang curry with tofu is a watered down version of Thai cuisine, but my boyfriend likes it and they use huge pouches of fried tofu that soak up the sauce. Chicken fried rice is very standard. I really like their large hot and sour soup, because it has tons of whole mushrooms in it even if it is a bit starchy. I also like the tanginess of the soup since lots of restaurants refrain from adding too much vinegar, Dragon Bowl seems to have figured it out. Dragon Bowl is our staple choice for when we can't decide what we want to eat- a poor man's Joy Yees, of sorts.

Consistently amazing food and welcoming personnel. We just keep coming back for more, again and again. Hands down best Seafood Combination and General Tso Chicken in town! And definitely get Mongolian plate! Will not disappoint.

We have been ordering there for about four years now and really love their food. However the last three times we have ordered we have gotten the wrong items. Today was the worse I ordered orange chicken and General Tao's chicken. Since this was the third time in a row our order was wrong I called and complained. I told the lady that answered that I receive two orange chickens and no General Tao's. She could not understand and after five minutes of trying to explain... I told her I wanted to pick up the General Tao's. I sent my husband with the receipt. she apologized and gave him the corrected order. Got home and it was another order of orange chicken!!!!

Nope nope nope nope nope nope. Do not eat this food. Meats are probably the cheapest quality in Chicago. Vegetables ehh. Their Thai iced tea? Forget about it. It was like drinking someone's thick saliva, that's the texture. I don't write reviews. I don't have the time to, but this, this, I would feel bad not warning the next person to order from here. They will give you a bunch of rice to make you feel like you got your money's worth, and that's assuming the food tastes good. Which it does not. Save yourselves. Go somewhere else.

The atmosphere is much nicer since reopening. I think they are under new management. There's new faces. Gotta get my chicken fried rice fix from them! And egg foo young.
