We decided to walk in and order...the menu is pretty simple...whole chicken, half chicken, quarter chicken...then you pick your side....easy.The chicken was so delicious....the portion was large and the flavor profile of the marinate was right on point....The place is like a diner, so it's no frills, very casual, almost what you see in Latin America. "I've been going to this fishery all my life, and I love it! My parents worked at the post office, which was on Van Buren and Canal, when I was growing up and on payday, my father would take us to pick up his check, at the post office. They would pass out checks after 9:30 PM on a Thursday night and when we'd leave the post office, we'd always stop by Lawrence's. This wasn't every Pay day, but quite a few. Lately, I've been ordering the large oysters. I usually don't get anything with them, but in a large order, you get about 14 to 16 oysters, depending. I love them! Their shrimp are good, also. You never really have to wait, even though the food is cooked to order. I don't know about the shrimp, but I know my oysters are cooked to order. I've been getting an order of oysters once a week, every Friday. So, I'll be looking forward to going back this weekend. Recently, they've been giving a five dollar coupon and you can get five dollars off your next purchase of $25 or more. Plus, they have a rewards program and I've already benefited from that. I got six dollars and some change Off an order. Love Lawrence's!!"

"This place is a neighborhood staple and it is still serving up fast food the way it should be - fast. The service is polite and professional and everyone who works there is efficient. I personally love shoestring fries (just like McDonald's) but these are less salty and less greasy-win/win! I've also had their chicken bread sandwich which is delicious and huge - I personally ate half for lunch and saved the rest for dinner. Easy parking right behind the restaurant is also a big plus."

"After an intense aerial yoga class, I wanted to grab a quick lunch and there weren't a lot of options surrounding me at the time of that decision. No one was dining in when I arrived, but there were three other people in line and two employees working.I ordered a footlong Veggie Delite, which seems to be a better deal than getting a 6" sub. I miss the $5 footlong deal days, but this was close enough at $5.79. I didn't get much of a greeting when I ordered, but that's fine as long as the food tastes good. This isn't the only Subway guilty of this, but it's like the word, "extra," doesn't exist. When I requested for extra lettuce, the employee put a measly amount of lettuce on the bread. I also got tomatoes, pickles, green peppers, cucumbers, banana peppers, oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Given all those ingredients, you'd think it would be at least somewhat flavorful, right? Nope! It tasted completely bland despite all the oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. How is that possible??I recommend passing on this Subway location."

"Tried this new establishment for dinner. Located right off Western and Fullerton. Ordered online to go but inside of restaurant was clean. For dinner we ordered two chicken sandwiches. The chicken sando came with Butter toasted buns, coleslaw, pickles, chicken tender, drizzled with NHC Sauce. Served with a side of NHC Sauce. For sauce, we tried buffalo sauce and Mild Cyrus. We also ordered a side of fries. The toast was a small add on and wanted to try and also the waffle for something sweet. Ordering online was easy. Food was ready when I arrived, actually 5 minutes early. Taste of food was good. I thought the chicken tender was good but probably need two tenders on these sandwiches. I was full with my sandwich and fries. My husband wanted more. Therefore, I would order an extra chicken tender in the future for my husband because it is not a serving for a grown man. I enjoyed my Mild Cyrus Chicken Sando. I was happy that we requested that the pickles and Cole slaw on the side. I just think in transport my bun would have been soft. The French fries were surprisingly seasoned and felt the serving was a good size. Overall satisfied and the waffle was really delicious. We added that for a sweet treat and it was like baby dessert. I would come back. Tip: buy extra tender for extra protein if you have a big appetite."

"Surprisingly good! I have gone to a bunch of places like this, but I will say that this one has probably the most unique dishes and all of them fresh. I like the Francheezie which isn't very common in other places. Its cheese, bacon, and a hot dog. Its a heartattack, but good! My nephews got chicken fingers which were pretty large and everything came with fries. You can't go wrong. They also have a sizable seating area with plenty of space for larger areas. Theres millions of places like this in the area and across Chicagoland, but this is the best of them all! I will be stopping by again!"

"This Spiro's Deli place is so awesome! Absolutely the best in town! The owner suggested I try a chicken sandwich, chose Chicken Caesar pita, and also sampled a couple other sandwiches. All excellent. Met a couple of regulars and now I understand why this place has been in business so long. The ambiance of this place is everything, literally. The vibes and all just really light up my mood. They have a very neat structure and their interior is neat. The inside is clean, neat, tidy, bright, well organized, and decent. "Most Mr Subs that we come across are pathetic dudes giving us lots of money to spank or abuse them in some way, fun times, easy money, being alpha comes naturally to both of us.This one however is all about the noms, rather than the doms.This is a lovely little sub shop for the neighbourhood up in the north suburbs of Chicago and I'm not really sure why people don't like this place because it's a good sandwich shop and it has a lot of traditional standard varieties and it tastes so much better than a Subway and it's not expensive and some of the sandwiches are dirt cheap so that's really good.I probably like it better than the likes of Quiznos and Jersey Mike's as well. Deserves more star ratings that gets but it's in a neighbourhood with a lot of fancy hipster stuff so maybe it's not exciting and different enough for the types of people that are around here."

"Since these folks do not steam their hot dog, they grill it, it is going to taste a tad different. It still works amazingly well, and this one had all the trimmings to make this hot dog special. Love the little way they make the endings all cute.Prices are a tad on the high side but they serve alcoholic milkshakes! I thought about ordering one but figured to back off. Maybe I will get one of these and a hot dog before I leave this city.The floors were very sticky so points lost for ambiance.Great late night snack food overall."

"I will begin here. I work in the area, as I mentioned before I have gone passed this location while on my way to work. I said one day I will stop in. I took a walk to dunning square, ran a quick errand. Had some time during my lunch, so I made my stop. I was greeted as I walked in. Which was welcoming. The service was beyond amazing. The food was also top notch. I ordered the cheeseburger lunch special, one of the best burgers I have had. The location is spacious, the ambiance is comfortable and warm. I am glad I stopped in. One of my friend's would order from this location for our office gatherings. One of the staff thanked me for coming, she saw my ID, and I said I work up the street. I will return soon."

"The restaurant is conveniently located in the food market of the Harlem plaza, with lots of seatings, and right in the center of the outlet mall.Charley's Philly Cheese steaks makes the best and freshest cheese steaks, which are made to order, not waiting and drying out while waiting for customers to come and queue in line. The proof of how good they are can be seen in the long queues for their cheese steaks every meal time.The special deal of a chicken sandwich with fries are only $5.5, which is an absolute steal!The food was pretty well rounded, and was really really filling (Had to take some leftovers), plus it just tasted delicious! We had ordered the combo meal with chicken Philly steak and try gourmet fries. The waiting time was minimal so we got our food very fast, even though it was fresh. Another upside of us eating there was that we got to see a little bird taking a shower/drink in the soda fountain across the restaurant and we got a good laugh out of it before it flew away. All in all it was a good experience and I know where I'll eat next time I'm at the outlet mall."

I know you Tommy not to ask for personal communications, but that didn't sound genuine Tommy.Tommy's was a little disappointing because the two beautiful girls didn't seem to like me very much and the one with the tattoos seemed annoyed that I gave her a tip lol. Maybe she thought I was hitting on her. Maybe I was. Honestly, I would have loved to have hit on her but I actually give tips to pretty much everybody I am served by. And I'm a little shy around beautiful women so I'm sure she couldn't have thought I was hitting on her. Anyway.The hot dog was a little dry and wasn't wonderful. The crinkle cut french fries tasted like oven fries and were really bad. The hot dog wasn't awful but it certainly wasn't as good as I hope for when I come to Chicago. I don't like that they don't have napkins on the table they only give you a couple with your order.Overall it's somewhere between a 3 and a 4, and it's hard to decide which rating would be more appropriate considering the various elements, and the fact that I try to be supportive of family businesses."

"My burger looked almost like the picture and tasted even better. I'm always skeptical when I see a burger joint that isn't mainstream. I decided to try Jimmys Famous Burgers today. I ordered the #1 and doubled my patties. The burger came with fresh hand cut fries and a nice frozen strawberry lemonade. The burger meat tasted fresh and looked like it was handcrafted. Someone definitely took pride in cooking these patties up as they had a nice sear with a really soft chew that melted in my mouth. The burger didn't seem to have a lot of seasoning on it but the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard all kicked in and gave it a good flavor. I was most impressed and my burger even almost looked like the menu advertisement! Also it was a pretty big burger. I'm a big guy and it took two eating sessions for me to finish. The fries were fresh but I waited a bit too long to eat them. But no complaints here because these were hand cut and didn't taste like the normal fries that most restaurants in the local neighborhood use. I'd recommend getting mild sauce on these fries though. The strawberry lemonade was tasty! A Sweet, tangy, cold treat that is sure to help chase away some of the summer heat. I will be back to eat here soon!"

"Okay so this is one of those places where kudos must be given for concept alone.  It is something all of us Indians at heart search for...tada!  search over.Here's what I love:  a healthy variety of sweet and savory Indian snacks of which some can be full on meals.  very creative and fun names given to food items.  They have the largest medley of paan I've seen.  Goodness, they even have golas.  Their coffees are not your local gas station concoctions, they serve legit espresso, cappuccino, and lattes. I like the high tables. In terms of overall building cleanliness and employee morale,  it seems as if that initial exciting blaze has fizzled to a single wick candle flicker, and that happens.  Service can sometimes feel lackluster depending on who is helping you. Nonetheless,  we will continue to swing by for some gol guppas, falooda, and, of course, some paan for the road ...because paan thats why"

"Could be said this place is old hat. It certainly looks like an old school Chicago greasy grill, whether that's a good or bad thing who knows. The Hat has burgers, but that's just one of many things. Also has one that's plant based. Falafel is another protein choice available as a burger or a side. A few times and I've had the vegan friendly choices. It's surprising this place has a few. The last time it was the Char Vegan Burger, which has got to be the healthiest item. It's about $8 and it's pretty big. This comes on a whole wheat bun, so you get grains and proteins. Be sure they don't put the cheese and mayonnaise on it. They don't seem to know any better and automatically put it on if you don't say to leave it off.Good place to go to even when it's late. It's open until early in the morning. The burgers include the meaty Vienna beef, but there's also the falafel and the other one for vegans."

I've also seen a listing for Taqueria Blue Line at this spot, at the corner of Belmont and Kimball and across the street from the Belmont Blue Line station.I ordered a combo meal with Philly cheesesteak, fries and a can of pop, priced a wee bit over ten bucks. My love went with a single pork taco. I'd say she liked her taco a bit more than my Philly cheese steak, which was AOK but not exactly overflowing with meat, onions or green peppers. The bun was soft and held everything together, and the can of Squirt was cold and refreshing."

"We were craving some Mediterranean food and decided to go to Fill A Pita for a quick lunch! They have 2 locations - Downers Grove and Bolingbrook - with slightly different menus. We went to the Downers Grove location and had a great experience! The service was great and I was in and out within minutes. There's ample seating inside! You can also order to-go on the phone or in the restaurant! We got a chicken shawarma bowl and the kufta kabob plate. The bowl I created came with yellow rice (you can get red spicy rice instead), hummus, tabouli salad, tomatoes, red onions, lots of garlic sauce, and red/fire sauce on the side. The plate came with yellow rice, kabobs, grilled tomato and onion, house salad, and hummus. We also got pitas with both entrees, making for the perfect meal! Both of the entrees can be completely customized with types of rice, toppings, and sauces. The meats were both very flavorful, tender, and juicy. The kabobs were grilled to perfection! I would love to try the chicken kabobs next time! Their garlic sauce is AMAZING! Would highly recommend getting some extra on the side because you will use it! I even had left overs for the next day! This is my first time trying Fill A Pita and I'm so excited to go back and try some of the other items on their menu!! Would highly recommend for a quick lunch or dinner that is fresh, healthy, and delicious!"

With the a-typical menu of: gyros, burgers, Italian beef, chicken wings, fried fish or shrimp, fries, etc. They serve inexpensive sub sandwiches that should satiate most appetites, though they are run-of-the-mill quality. Big bread, which could use more meat and/or shredded veggies. And the french fries are of the frozen-fried kind. I'd ordered cheese fries once, the quality of the fry so poor I chucked it. We're at a time when many businesses are opting to make fresh hand cut fries.. these guys need to update. (Note to management, check out Red Hot Ranch. If Sub brothers did great fries like RHR, I think customers would stop in more frequently just for a fresh bag of fries. The commuters and the bar crowd would dig fresh fries.)The owners are kind and welcoming but is that why they have four stars? Personally I did not see, feel or eat anything that is extraordinary. It's a fast food joint that is easy on your wallet so long as you have the cash to pay."

"It's not an exaggeration to say that Chicago has a lot of burger joints and hot dog joints. It's also not an exaggeration to say that you can also find some very good Greek fast food in Chicago. However, there really wasn't a good spot to get Greek fat food in Little Italy, until now. As of the time of the writing of this review, Mr. Greek Gyros is new in Little Italy. First, the food is amazing. When I went, I ordered the big baby double cheeseburger combo with cheese fries, the chicken kabob dinner, the gyros plate and the baklava cheesecake. As gyros plates go, this one of the better one I've had. I also loved the big baby double cheeseburger. The patties were juicy and it was a cut about your average fast food burger. My mind was also a bit blown by the baklava cheesecake, it's a must order. Second, the service was topNotch. The entire staff, especially the cashier, were super nice. The food came out fast, fresh and delicious. The ambiance and atmosphere for a restaurant like this was perfect. The restaurant was clean, bright and had the vibes of a fast food Greek restaurant from Chicago's Greek Town.In sum, if want a burger or some quick and delicious Greek food around UIC, this is your place."
