Diane I. "The dough wasn't as soft as I was expecting and the icing was as sweet or generous as I was hoping. We had strawberry icing, glazed, and lemon cake glazed donut. The lemon was the best. The area is a bit sketch, but the staff was willing to help me with making my order."

Mona T. "I liked the ambience of this place--classic diner vibes. My group of 4 waited for roughly 15 minutes before getting seated on a Sunday afternoon, and from then on the service was quick and friendly. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, which was a warm ham and cheese sandwich on french toast bread. The bread was soggier and the sandwich was saltier than I would've liked, but otherwise it was not bad. It was quite dense--packed with meat and cheese--and I was struggling to finish by the end. Dipping it in the syrup made for a rich sweet and savory combo, though that flavor got too heavy pretty quick. The fresh side salad was a welcomed addition.Overall, I think this is a solid diner in Chicago with a friendly atmosphere that's perfect for groups and fairly priced food. Though I was not the biggest fan of the food, I also acknowledge I'm biased because I don't particularly love diner-style food. So although I wouldn't necessarily go back for just the food, I would be interested in going back someday to try their renowned donuts.--Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5Food: 3.5/5Ambience: 4.5/5Service: 4.5/5Overall Value: 4/5"

Voodoo Doughnut - Fulton Market

Alice W. "Alright, most of us have heard of Voodoo at this point and I'm so glad they're in Chicago. Voodoo lives up to the hype! A friend and I stopped by on a Wednesday evening and there was no line. However in 20 minutes there was a line out the door! Not sure if it was just the timing, but they were out of some of the donuts on display. That was a bit frustrating. I stood there for about 5 minutes watching the donuts go around even though there were pictures of options posted outside. I went with the traditional voodoo donut and the old dirty bastard. Honestly, I liked the old dirty bastard a lot more. The voodoo wasn't bad, but I was surprised when it was filled with jelly. The combinations of the flavors weren't groundbreaking, but the quality of the donuts are what makes them special. The names of the donuts and the theme of the place is pretty hilarious, if your mind lives in the gutter. When I'm in Fulton Market, I'm definitely going to stop by! I also noticed the drinks and would be interested to try their coffee with the donuts. I can't wait to try more flavors and their coffee!"

Cynthia L. "Much better Stan's location than the other ones close by. This is located inside a small food hall so there are plenty of seating available. We were here for St Patrick's day weekend and I loved all the cute green themed donuts. They also serve breakfast items besides the obvious donuts. Friendly employees even during one of the most busiest holidays for Chicago. We ordered the breakfast burrito and a side of hash browns. Delicious! Portion is big enough for one person...I wouldn't suggest sharing unless you just want a light snack. This was our go-to every morning while visiting. It's close by to The Riverwalk, Chicago River and other main attraction points here in the city."
