"The dough wasn't as soft as I was expecting and the icing was as sweet or generous as I was hoping. We had strawberry icing, glazed, and lemon cake glazed donut. The lemon was the best. The area is a bit sketch, but the staff was willing to help me with making my order."
"I liked the ambience of this place--classic diner vibes. My group of 4 waited for roughly 15 minutes before getting seated on a Sunday afternoon, and from then on the service was quick and friendly. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, which was a warm ham and cheese sandwich on french toast bread. The bread was soggier and the sandwich was saltier than I would've liked, but otherwise it was not bad. It was quite dense--packed with meat and cheese--and I was struggling to finish by the end. Dipping it in the syrup made for a rich sweet and savory combo, though that flavor got too heavy pretty quick. The fresh side salad was a welcomed addition.Overall, I think this is a solid diner in Chicago with a friendly atmosphere that's perfect for groups and fairly priced food. Though I was not the biggest fan of the food, I also acknowledge I'm biased because I don't particularly love diner-style food. So although I wouldn't necessarily go back for just the food, I would be interested in going back someday to try their renowned donuts.--Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5Food: 3.5/5Ambience: 4.5/5Service: 4.5/5Overall Value: 4/5"
"Alright, most of us have heard of Voodoo at this point and I'm so glad they're in Chicago. Voodoo lives up to the hype! A friend and I stopped by on a Wednesday evening and there was no line. However in 20 minutes there was a line out the door! Not sure if it was just the timing, but they were out of some of the donuts on display. That was a bit frustrating. I stood there for about 5 minutes watching the donuts go around even though there were pictures of options posted outside. I went with the traditional voodoo donut and the old dirty bastard. Honestly, I liked the old dirty bastard a lot more. The voodoo wasn't bad, but I was surprised when it was filled with jelly. The combinations of the flavors weren't groundbreaking, but the quality of the donuts are what makes them special. The names of the donuts and the theme of the place is pretty hilarious, if your mind lives in the gutter. When I'm in Fulton Market, I'm definitely going to stop by! I also noticed the drinks and would be interested to try their coffee with the donuts. I can't wait to try more flavors and their coffee!"

Best donors in Chicago! It's been awhile since I visited the bakery but; since I've gotten a reminder I'm on my way

Like Golden Nugget with amazing donuts. You can eat here 24/7, which is how I found out about it. About 20 years ago, while working 3-11, I met someone working the same hours and we went on a low key date after work. The bar she recommended was closing so we only got one drink and I had no clue where we could go from there. She suggested HF as an all night place, so we stopped in, had some food and coffee.I've been back many times since then because HF is the only place in Chicago that serves legit chicken fried steak like you'll get in Texas or New Mexico.Several years ago I read an article in Time Out with rankings of Chicago donut places and I was surprised to see HF won. So I tried one of their cinnamon rolls and took home one of their crazy huge donuts. Time Out was right, both were delicious. So next time you want donuts, stop in at Huck's instead of Dunkin or Stan's. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Their doughnuts are amazing. This isn't your run of the mill DD... These are delicious. My favorite is the chocolate ring doughnut (I know it's basic). But it's my favorite. Try the others as you see fit.

Came here late in the afternoon and there were zero donuts! They did have some prepackaged items but nothing I wanted to try. I do plan to return and try the donuts. The employee was nice and told me mostly everything is gone in the morning.

We've been getting our customized cakes made here since 2014. We only had one bad experience where the cake order wasn't ready when we got there. It seemed to be that the cake was put together last minute once we arrived. However, we went back several times after and have been pleased each time. The pastries are great as well. The staff is friendly and speedy.

Good looking donuts. You got your basics, Boston crème filled, chocolate cake, etc.. and then you got a step-up in both decor and price. I brought them to a customer, so I didn't get any pictures. Service was friendly and prompt. The only complaint I have is the price point. Look man, it's just a donut.. it's great that you can put a life-like frosting made Cookie Monster on top of your yeasty dough ring, but the cost of materials are nearly the same as the regular old chocolate frosted one.. why am I paying $3.50 for one donut?!? Again.. my customers raved about them, so that says something.. but man... I'm in the wrong business.

I love everything about this place! It's a must-get when you're in Chicago. Service was great and since it was our first time, it took us a minute to figure out which flavors to get. We opted for the old fashioned blueberry donut (frosting was super sweet compared to the Krispy Kreme version), strawberry bismark (dough is super soft with tons of filling) and apple fritter (lots of cinnamon). Their coffee pairs well with all of the donuts we got as well.

"Great bakery and canned jams and relish. Donuts were so fresh and good. The best were the cream cheese cinnamon rolls. We also got a dozen their glazed Apple Cider cake donuts only available for a limited time."
"I love there maple glazed bacon donuts I order like 6 but never get a chance to eat them all there really sweet and hearty with the bacon my eyes are always bigger than I can stand for. Super rich and delicious I wish they weren't as sweet tho otherwise I love these.. There my go to"
"Great donuts, friendly staff, ample parking. I will definitely be back. They also have a classic donut and coffee special for $3.99"
"Much better Stan's location than the other ones close by. This is located inside a small food hall so there are plenty of seating available. We were here for St Patrick's day weekend and I loved all the cute green themed donuts. They also serve breakfast items besides the obvious donuts. Friendly employees even during one of the most busiest holidays for Chicago. We ordered the breakfast burrito and a side of hash browns. Delicious! Portion is big enough for one person...I wouldn't suggest sharing unless you just want a light snack. This was our go-to every morning while visiting. It's close by to The Riverwalk, Chicago River and other main attraction points here in the city."
