"This is one popular place. I cannot suggest reservations enough. You will still wait and be squashed in between other tables. I will say it was worth it though. The food is outstanding. They have many items that are vegan or can be modified, but are primarily meat driven. Would love to see more plant based and less dead animals on the menu, but will still support them for the options they do have. Make sure your server knows what plant based is because many of the sauces have animal products in them. My server didn't know and I had to ask about fish sauce, egg, chicken broth. We figured it out together. The vibe is eclectic and vibrant. Cocktails were fun. Food presented with flair. I'll be back."
"I've been to Joy Yee's a number of times. Mostly to this location and the one in Evanston. While it's Asian fusion, it's still pretty good. You can get Chinese food, Vietnamese, etc.My uncle got pho, my cousin ordered fried rice and short ribs, my sister got a tofu dish that tasted a lot like pad kee mao, and my mom and I shared a Malaysian seafood plate that had fantastic flavors! I had to ask the staff what they put in it! So so good!We also got some sort of appetizer that was a mix of vermicelli noodles, spring rolls, fries, and more. It's A LOT of food. Def shareable unless you've got a big appetite.Their fruit teas are fabulous! Loved the one I got. My sister got a milk tea and didn't love the boba texture in it. Just meh. Great staff, quick service, food comes out fast, large portions. I'm sure I'll be back!"

"King mushroom with tofu was a surprise hit! Sauted peapod was amazing. The gan pong family menu is killer, as is the jampong (spicy seafood noodle soup). We usually come here for family birthdays and celebrations, arriving early to beat the line and get a big table for all the delicious food!"
"LOVE. If I had to describe our experience in 1 word, it's love! We came by for an early dinner on Sunday and were immediately sat. The parking is paid metered parking, but there was plenty of it despite being in a busier area. The restaurant was decked out with colors, lights, palm trees and was truly an escape from Chicago. To start we had the Crying Tiger, and the Spicy Crab Rangoon. The Crying Tiger was full of flavor, and cooked to the perfect temp. The steak was delish with and without the dipping sauce, but to amplify the flavors... highly recommend dipping! The spicy crab Rangoon was a fun party of its own. The crunch from the wrap to the warm creamy crab filling, the spice wasn't too crazy with all the cream filling but with the sweet chili sauce it made for the perfect bites. We shared the lava roll, it reminded me of the viva Las Vegas roll from ra sushi, but this was filled with so much more. The crab meat on top had a nice kick to it. As if we weren't already full, we also ordered the general tso chicken sandwich, and the burger to try. Both of which were delish! The general tso was my pick between the two. The pineapple had a nice sweet and tangy flavor to each bite. For dessert, I wanted to try the Vietnamese tiramisu but they were sold out. All the more reason to come back again soon! The service was great, despite how busy they got the team really made each table feel special in their own way and were extremely attentive."
"I've been here before and I don't know why it's taken me so long to get back here because everyone keeps talking about how excellent their wings are. And it's all true, their wings are prepared a special way and are crispy and full of flavor. Aside from that, we enjoyed the crab Rangoon, quite pretty in its floral design. I personally liked the beef with pea pods. The wonton soup was what you'd expect and they were generous with the ingredients. I put too much chili oil in my soup and I almost needed a ventilator. Service was excellent and we had the place to ourselves on a Saturday late morning which was nice. Street pahking on Lawrence and you have to pay on Saturdays, there was no neighborhood parking to be had. But that's ok, I'd like to come back for more wings and other items on the menu."
"Yes I been coming here for years I love the food and the ambiance the cooks are all in front of you The service here went down the servers look likeThey are angry to the point they spillThe hotYea all over the tableAndSis not wipe it out"
"If you are a Jewish American that grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland like me chances are you've had your fair share of Americanized Chinese food growing up. Even after living in China and being exposed to "real Chinese food" (and LOVING it) sometimes I get nostalgic for the fake stuff. Yummy yummy Asian cuisine hits the spot of all the greatest hits -- egg foo young, pork fried rice, eggrolls are all solid and full of that msg flavor. I've never been here in person, only ordered carry out. The bubble tea smoothie is solid too. I'm a bit skeptical of the food from other Asian countries on the menu haha."
"My parents never experienced hot pot and since we were unable to celebrate Father's day on Father's day, we made a reservation to Qiao Lin on July 4 to make up for it. This place books far out so you want to reserve your spot on the Yelp app at least 2 weeks in advance for your desired date/time.You will not be seated until all members of your party arrive. I requested a booth and we were promptly seated the minute we checked in despite arriving 10 minutes early. Our server was good however things came out randomly and not in the order you would expect. I ordered 2 Lady M cake slices to share and when the server outright asked, "Did you want this to be held for dessert?" we said yes however when food came out, the cake actually arrived first. Aside from that, the menu is impressive. Since there was so much on the menu, we were not able to fully indulge during this visit which is probably a good thing because we all left with full bellies! If anything, it only entices us to return in the future.Do spring extra for the sauce bar. It enhances the flavor of your hot pot. You can create your own sauce or follow the guides posted at the sauce bar for recommendations. The parking was the only pain point because by noon, the entire lot was packed! I'm not sure if that is typical but in fairness we did arrive during the July 4 holiday. You may want to arrive at opening to secure a spot otherwise risk having to circle the lot to get a space."
"A great no-frills authentic spot for soup dumplings and expanded Asian cuisine. They literally have such a large menu, though they are known to specialize in a certain region of food. We came for their specialty- the soup dumplings. The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) that we got had the pork and crab in it and were wonderfully delicious and flavorful. We also got the schezuan green beans in a tasty pork sauce that was recommended by the waiter, and this was a nice side dish with rice. Such an affordable meal too!"
"Mmmmmmmm. I miss this place. It's really good. Beef pad Thai was a strange color but so delicious!! Even the baby loved it. I should have taken a photo of him but I was digging in and couldn't multitask. Husband got the basil chicken. He is not big on Asian food which is why we don't come here more often. I mean it's only 5-10 minutes from our home. We should come once a week!!! Oh well. I'm gonna start sneaking on my weekday lunches when he's working. We also had to sneak a red bean coconut smoothie. Couldn't let our boy see it cause then we wouldn't get a sip. Hubby likes it. So I said I'd share it although I didn't really want too. Service is great. They'll get super busy but they'll get to you eventually. Anyway, check them out. Food is great and reasonably priced. Less than $40 with tax and tip. I'd rather spend it here than Panera which is where my husband prefers for the fresher / healthier. But honestly, we spent 42 the other day at Panera for 2 cups of soup, 1/2 a salad, 1/2 a sandwich and a cup of macaroni/cheese. Really?! I know. Everything is much more expensive nowadays. Well, we can get healthy options at Jenn's too! They have many options. Veggies and tofu and other yummy options."
"Noodle & Sushi Delight Restaurant is a true hidden gem! You are greeted warmly the second you walk in the door by the owner Hannah. The restaurant was very clean, well organized. Very spacious and cozy seating is offered. Service was excellent and lunch was served quickly. Food is delicious and I'm looking forward to returning here for dinner and trying their noodle dishes! They were very busy with lunch service as well as carry outs but delivered fast and friendly service! I tried the Japanese 2 roll sushi special which come with soup or salad. I chose the salad. Lunch special salad - unique delicious fresh made mango dressing (sweet w/little spicy kick). Crisp greens, petite cucumber slices and grape tomatoes. Salad was chilled nicely. Vegetable egg rolls were served hot, (best in the area!) crunchy, packed with bean sprouts and full of flavor. The plum sauce and hot mustard are made in-house!Tuna avacado roll was very nice - tuna was very fresh and there was a generous portion of avacado in the roll! Spicy Salmon roll had good flavor and crunchy cucumber inside. Sushi has more fish and less rice which made this a step above some other places! The shaved ginger was shaped into a pretty rosebud on the plate. Both ginger and wasabi are made fresh in-house. Carryout: The Kung Pao chicken lunch special had a lot of good quality chicken pieces. The sauce was very nice and went well with the fried rice! Service is excellent here. The staff is very attentive to all your needs and is there to make sure you enjoy your meal. They have a full bar, outdoor seating and also had fun slots area in the back of the restaurant. There's something for everyone at Noodle & Sushi Delight! Thanks Hannah and staff for a delicious enjoyable experience!"
"Finally made it down here after patiently waiting for them to officially establish themselves inside Mollys Cupcakes. It's still essentially a take out place but you should be able to find a table and dine in once you pickup your order. I ordered their BBQ Pork Char Siu and their Fried Chicken Fried Rice. Both dishes tasted great. The chicken fried rice was very large and very filling. The fried rice had amazing flavor and it had plenty of fried chicken. The BBQ pork was really good as well. The pork was tender and the sauce was very sweet, but flavorful. Both items were fairly priced, I just wish the bbq pork came with some steamed white rice. They don't even offer some on their website for me to order which was a bummer. Overall I was very satisfied and wouldn't mind returning. My son really liked it and I wouldn't mind trying other items on their menu."

Super packed on a Tuesday night! I love the atmosphere of the restaurant right as I walked in. Staff was attentive and we were seated right away for our reservation at 5:30PM. This is a fun place to eat at with a small group of friends. The menu is easily shareable and you'll get to try different dishes. We ordered Jiaozi (beef short rib and bone marrow potstickers), Duck and Goat Spring Rolls and Xi'an Goat Slap Noodles. The Duck and Goat Spring Rolls and Jiaozi were a bit on the gamey side when it comes taste. The Xi'an Goat Slap Noodles has a kick to it if you don't like spicy. The noodles are delicious and thick cut. Very fragrant flavors. All in all, lots of goat, lots of duck and lots of savory and spicy dishes at Duck Duck Goat!

I returned with my family this summer, for the first time in 10 years, and somehow it's still exactly how i remember it??The decor... Looks the same, classic, a little old but well kept. Very nostalgic. The vibe is very loud and bustling (they were deep in the lunch rush) just like I remembered! The food, it's one step above hole in the wall chinese - cleaner flavors, less greasy. Still the same, quite solid. Clientele - still the same. A lot of white people, but a good amount of Asian ppl too!In addition to very classic Chinese American fare there is interestingly a fun special section of Korean-Chinese food like jjampong (it's called chef ping special Noodle soup or something) and tangsuyuk (not to be confused with the sweet n sour pork on the regular menu). I don't think I noticed that before. The servers are all trilingual somehow too? Pretty cool. The jjam pong hit the spot. It was very savory and comforting, and a step above mall food court in quality. Very very delicious. I would come here just to order more from the k Chinese menu. The lunch specials we got were also very solid! The place is packed at lunch for a reason, I guess. Hard to find a well priced lunch special in today's economy. The portion isn't huge, but it's very filling and comes quickly. The only thing that irked me was how they bring the Asian tables radish side dish, but none for the white tables. Since my table was not majority Asian I didn't get tanmuji :( tho I'm sure I could have asked for it.Nice to see a neighborhood staple stay unchanged after all these years. Hope we can visit again soon.

This spot is one of my favorite restaurants in the Lakeview neighborhood and only a 10 minute walk from Wrigleyfield. The apps, sushi rolls, and larger meals are all really good. The larger dishes are perfect for sharing or having for leftovers the next day. If you are vegan or vegetarian, they have several options available. Their red sangria is amazing! I haven't tried their non-alcoholic options like the bubble tea, but their non-alcoholic options all sound promising.

11/16/23 - Dinner w/ the family @ Great Sea Restaurant for my nieces birthday. I have been wanting to try Great Sea Restaurant as I have been hearing about their lollipop chicken wings. They didn't disappoint. Overall we ordered the following dishes * Lollipop Chicken Wings the star of the meal a solid 4.5Stars out of 5 Nice crunch on the outside tender inside good the last bite. I don't want be a sheep but good is good * Salt & Pepper Spicy Smelt - Very good, very crunchy but a bit over cooked Stars 4.5 out of 5 * Shrimp Dish w/Veges - cooked well but lacked flavor still it was good 4 out of 5 Stars * Mixed Veges ok but lacked any flavor (a little bland) - 3.5 out of 5 StarsThis was a pretty good Chinese restaurant the Lollipop Chicken Wings did not disappoint as the smelt was also very good. & best of all it's very close to where I live. I will probably be back again someday for the wings & smelt.

At all of Yu's locations, it's always fun to observe the wok mastery through a large kitchen window. Their combination lunch and dinner specials are a better deal than ordering a la carte. Lunch entrées, which average $10-$12, include a small egg roll, one wonton, fried rice, and a choice of soup or green salad. I ordered the chicken chow mein and barely finished half of the mountainous portion. The hot & sour soup was excellent. The accompanying egg roll and won ton were not quite as tasty.Like so many restaurants nowadays, Yu's is shorthanded and the servers appear harried. We had to flag down our server several times for items that should've been brought or replenished automatically. If you come here at a busy time, be prepared to wait as they do not take reservations. But Yu can cook!

I have absolutely no bad things to say about Yummy Yummy Asian Cuisine. We came in for lunch after a 3 hour flight that left at 6am (+time difference did us in), and it was the perfect meal. During lunchtime on a Tuesday, there was 1 other couple dining in and a large number of takeout orders. The staff was very patient and kind, despite how many orders they were juggling! We started with the Crab Rangoon of course, and it was well above average. We then shared an order of General Tso's Chicken, which came with a bowl of rice, and Vegetable Lo Mein. The portions were hefty, so we got to take some home with us too- there is nothing like leftover Chinese food! This will be one of my go-to's for easy takeout.

Everything about this hot pot spot is top tier! Ambiance and service is good too.WAIT: I keep seeing reviews about the wait but this place takes reservations!! Plan ahead and avoid any wait, even with a large group. They were super gracious and even waited for our party that was late.SAUCE BAR: This is towards the back and phenomenal! They have a lot of sauce types as well as snacks and desserts here. I wish there was a bit more labeling for the non-sauce items. The sauce bar is an automatic $2/person. FOOD: I love the option to try three different broths for the same price as 1 ($14.95). They were all really flavorful and different from each other. They kept topping you off with new broth. All the food we ordered was pretty tasty and came with decent portions for the price.

"Peninsula fan all the way... this restaurant really embodies the quality of these hotels. Big Pfan and why we went for a birthday lunch. Service was top-notch and they were always on top of making sure the table was cleared and ready for the next course... the ambiance is lovely and serene, so nice of a garden vibe being up in the middle of the Mag Mile.Food, for the most part, was okay, but nothing you can't get in Chinatown for 1/3 the price... Some dim sum and wontons, corn crab chowder, beef noodles, prawns, and sea bass (only exceptional entree), and 6 drinks were enough to make us hit 400ish with tax and tip for 3 people.Nice place, recommend parking at the NW lot, and walking over to Water Tower for shopping and playing tourists. Nice day to be in the city."
"I love Haidilao and I understand the hype completely. They have human and robot servers, so it's a bit more novel, but it's also a reminder that nothing beats human service that's for sure! The waitress is super friendly and helpful, if it's your first time, fear not, everything will be explained ti you. You order off the electronic menu, so it's def a lot more hands on experience, more of a self serve experience with some waitering on the side. There's a sauce bar and it had a lot of little appetizers and desserts such as fruit and edamame, but there easily hundreds of sauce combinations possible so it could def get a little overwhelming. It's a bit pricey for hot pot in my opinion, but it's delicious and fun! I love that you get handed an apron to protect your clothing from an possible sauce and broth spatters. Reminds me of Asia for sure, and the music is a little too loud... otherwise a great place for a date night or to throw a celebration with some pals."
"Can't believe it took me this long to finally try out Hai Di Lao and literally had the best service ever. It is such a fun experience that I feel like everyone has to try at least once if you're a hot pot lover! They also have code words you say to the workers and you can get free snacks/toys! It's fun getting everyone in your party to try out a code word. My go to soup base is the Tom yum!! I love their sauce bar and it's fun watching them do the dance when you order the dancing noodle. I went here again for my birthday and had the best serviceeee. The workers were super kind and attentive. They had this cute set up with birthday decorations and the workers even offered to take group photos for us which was great."
"House of Wah Sun is yum yum. This new spot took over the old 24 hr nugget, but it didn't do much to remodel the interior, but the food makes up for the decor. Having the Kung Pao Chicken was a delight. It had a spicey kick in every bight! The portion size was nice too! The staff was quick and they start you off with a nice tea. This is a great new addition to the "hood."
"Ok, Hoanh Long was my lifesaver as far as being one of the few restaurants open on Christmas day. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to narrow down my search of Vietnamese restaurants within a radius of the area. Hoanh Long was ranked number two out of pho restaurants which was what I craved at the time. The menu online as well as pictured is very organized! I really loved how options were separated; it made ordering easy for someone like me who is a vegetarian because everything vegetarian was in one section. I ordered the Mi Xao Chay which consisted of egg noodle stir fried with vegetable & tofu. It took thirty-nine minutes from the time of my order to the arrival of it at my doorstep via Grubhub. The Mi Xao Chay smelled fantastic! Its portion size was satisfying as well as its taste. The one thing I will likely do away with next time is the tofu because the vegetables were satisfying enough.I had a pleasant ordering experience with this restaurant. As like I, if you are ever looking for an option, let alone an option open on Christmas, then look no further than Hoanh Long.~Blessings~ Thomas G"
"You know, I miss the flavor of M'asian/S'porean/Indonesian food. Having moved to Illinois recently from SoCal, we'd long patronized the Belacan Grill in Tustin- whose authenticity could never, ever be questioned. We wanted to see if Penang would offer a level of authenticity that would entice us to come back for more - it did, and we will. Ambience- we arrived on a cold Saturday morning, and were quickly seated. Not too busy at all. We ordered M'asian Kopi (coffee w/sweetened condensed milk) and quickly deemed it "authentic"! Score the first point! Second- the menu had Roti Canai and Paratha - now this is key. You get this right, you can win over my heart (not joking!). The Roti and extra Paratha came quickly, and the flavor of the chicken curry that accompanied it was just good enough to qualify as "as close to authentic as I can hope for in Illinois" - and that's not a bad thing - at all! We then ordered Mee Goreng as our "go to" entree - now when it arrived, we loved the look - the texture - the flavor was almost all right, but it was (sad to say) far too sweet. That said? We enjoyed it and would return! Our only true critique was that the price was SO high for what you get. Maybe we were spoiled in SoCal, but somehow I don't think the OC is that cheap - and Penang's definitely pricier. But that won't stop us - we'll be back for sure! Check it out for a decent take on M'asian food- we did, and we liked it."
"Had a really great lunch here! Staff was friendly and service was quick.Shrimp hao goa - 4 pieces of dumplings. So good. Crab wontons - solid. Not much to say about it. House chow mein - delicious and a nice size to share. Orange chicken - it was good but didn't love the sauce. Didn't hate it either.Overall it was good, but I'm not sure I'll be in a rush to come back. Maybe if I find myself nearby I'll drop back in for the dumplings especially"
"Lao Sze Chuan has been around here for several years but it took a visit to Chinatown for me to try it out, and luckily we have one nearby because we ordered from here a couple weeks later. They do more authentic Chinese food (chicken feet, other things that I won't eat) but their dry chili chicken is my favorite. It's spicy without being overwhelming. Potstickers are ok though they are probably ones that just come out of a bag and I can make myself. Portion sizes are good; I've had leftovers the couple times I've been here, which is good because the price is a little steep for this to become an everyday Chinese place for me. Parking is street only so if you can, it'd be better to use the Red Line or some other form of public transport to get here."
"Definitely a good choice to grab lunch here when you're in Chicago's Chinatown!I didn't want to spend too much time waiting for food so I decided to order from their lunch specials. It was multiple option to order from. My lunch included a choice of soup, which I picked the Egg flower soup, a huge Egg roll, a plate of Beef Broccoli and Fried Rice. Food was very fresh, and tasty! Especially the beef, which was very tender and flavorful! I really loved the Egg roll too. The cabbage was very finely chopped and the meat was flavorful in it. Waitress was very nice and attentive. She refilled my coke in a timely manner, and checked on me often if I needed anything . The restaurant was fairly busy during lunchtime. They have big tables and smaller ones for individual guests like me, dining alone. Their bathroom was very clean, but no toilet seat covers in the wall dispenser."
"After driving and walking by since they've opened, and trying them at West Fest, we finally had a chance to dine-in. I'll be honest, we had a couple somewhat negative experiences before pushing it all side and staying determined to try this place out. The service has been consistently meh, but the food is out of this world and worth coming back for, even if we don't get a smile or hello. The restaurant itself is small and cute. Decorated with plants and they keep up a holiday spirit and decorated with Chinese Lunar New Year decor. All of the food we tried consisted of two visits. The portions are big and shareable and our eyes are always hungrier than our stomachs. Out of the two experiences we've had, only the first one was spicy (which I prefer).Dan Dan Noodles - deliciously nutty and spicy. The texture of the noodles is chewy and fresh and all the toppings take it up that extra notch. Make sure to mix it up or you'll be "stuck" eating all the pork that finds its way to the bottom. Or just eat it however you like!Cold Noodle - so incredibly refreshing. It's like nothing I've had before. The flavors are spicy and umami - I really don't know how to explain it. I was a little nervous at first because I've never had cold noodles but I loved them so much, I ordered them as my entree for the second visit. Lamb Bing - ended up taking a bite just to try it hot since we were completely stuffed by the time it came out. We were warned it would take 30 minutes though. The texture was chewy and somewhat tough. Reminded me of meat pies I grew up on. I didn't love it and I definitely didn't hate it. I also didn't order it on our second visit.Pork and Chive Dumplings - a healthy portion! About 13 dumplings in total. These had a slightly nuttier flavor and we eat the broth like soup even if it's not meant that way LOL it's just so dang delicious.Beef and Green Onion Dumplings - absolutely love and prefer these ones. Both are amazing though, don't get me wrong. The beef broth had more of a kick which I prefer. The chilies are a nice touch. Also had 13 dumplings and drinkable broth - yum!Eggplant Salad - recommended by staff on the first visit (did my best to warm them up. Maybe it's a vibe I give off?). Do not skip on ordering this!! This is for food lovers and can convert any eggplant hater. It's sweet, crunchy, spicy, vinegar - just umami and must order every visit moving forward. You'll see for yourself."
"When you spend most of your life visiting Seven Treasures in Chinatown, there's a void to be filled when the restaurant closes down. We recently went to Wonton Gourmet with our family for dinner and looking at the menu was so nostalgic. Wonton gourmet has its own parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. When you walk into, the inside has wallpapers of photos I believe of Hong Kong and the street markets that really added to the ambience. We were quickly shown to our tables where they brought out water. Our waiter came by and took our order shortly after and our food came out quickly after that. I had been craving my 554 meal, but I loved it with a runny egg so it was more like porridge. It absolutely hit the spot. My parents and my siblings got the wonton soup with extra shrimp dumplings on the side and rave that it's the best they've had since their favorite restaurant closed. All in all, we had a great time, and can't wait to come back for more."
"You know some places are hit and miss? Well this place is a Home Run! Excellent flavors and quality and quantity. Beautiful inside and very clean. Very nice people too! Take the family Highly recommend!"
"Love love love!!! I can't believe it has taken me this long to review this place. So so so many good things! I am a creature of habit though. I always order jumbo shrimp fried rice with extra shrimp, egg rolls and wonton soup. Orrrr BBQ ribs, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour combo, kung boa shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. The inside has been open to dine in since before covid, but it doesn't matter because the food hasn't changed and they are still quick. The prices are still good and that says alot."
"An old friend of mine wanted to see how my recovery was going and suggested we go back to Great Beijing since I know the staff well and they wouldn't mind me sitting there longer than usual. It was comforting to see familiar faces and to be welcomed like royalty once we arrived. I had my favorite Family Style Tofu dish, and it was as delicious as I remembered. Although the tofu was fried, the texture inside was as silky as it could be. The vermicelli was a nice add-on to the dish. I loved every bite. My friend said her sweet & sour chicken was very good and ordered another one to take home for her husband. It was still early for the usual dinner crowd, so they didn't mind my longer-than-usual stay. As always, the food and the service were exceptional after all these years since my family arrived in Chicago. I will continue to support Great Beijing and recommend the establishment to my friends."
"We get this for carryout regularly now. Young's is great again. I'm glad we gave this another go. Peace."
"What a great place to have some authentic delicious Chinese/Taiwanese food, in the heart of downtown Evanston. Whether you're a student, or not, definitely take the trek to Evanston to Shang Noodle & Chinese, where the food won't disappoint, the service great, and the overall dining experience being top-notched.We order the famous Jjajangmyeon (Noodles in blackbean sauce) which if you look at Yelp, there are dozens of photos of it; a crowd pleaser for sure. If you're looking for a great chicken dish, with jam-packed flavor, spice, and the perfect breading, definitely try out the dry red-chilli chicken. We topped off the fantastic meal with some pork belly soup. Our server was great... letting us two, pull together two tables, due to the amount of food we ordered. Our waters were filled constantly, and we were checked-up on several times.BATHROOM REVIEW: There is a mens and womens private bathroom. In the mens, it was extremely clean and spacious and contained a urinal, toilet, and even a chair to chill at, if you're all about having a conversation in the bathroom, or just wanted to lounge in a bathroom. No judgment here. Well, judgment with the bathrooms, as that's what I do. Sit or squat? Sit!"
"Thank you Bonnie C. for finding this place! It was busyyy since we had visited during the Lunar New Year parade , I'd say come here with 4 ppl max for most comfortable seating , a good amount of booth seatings thoughMenu is extensive- Stir-Fried Chewy Noodles: bomb.com! So flavorful and the Biang Biang noodles were a nice fluffy chew, highly recommend and definitely a share-able item, decent amount of veggies too which I can appreciate - Cumin Lamb Flatbread: yummm, so delicious and well-seasoned, flavorful too. Bonnie C. got their crispy flatbread while I ordered the original, and we both really enjoyed what we got!- Pork potstickers: delicious appetizer to start the meal with, comes with 6piecesCan't wait to be back next time I'm in town!"
"I am sharing an updated review after my recent experience at 8000 Miles. The food, especially the Thai Basil Shrimp or Crispy Garlic Shrimp, are my favorite dishes. Basically, I love anything with shrimp here. The Lynfred plum wine is great if you like a sweeter wine. The servers are always fast and so appreciative of their customers.Don't skip dessert! The cheesecake Spring Roll is tasty and crisp, and the banana won tons are an equally sweet way to end your meal here.In the warmer months, you can sit outside on the patio, if you don't mind shouting over an occasional train passing by.8000 Miles is one of my favorite Asian restaurants in this area."
"This is a branch of Chinatown's renowned BBQ King House that is located in the food court of 88 Marketplace. It looks like no one ever put up a Yelp page for this particular food stand, though it's been present from the beginning, but here it is. Wife and I were shopping and ended up having a food court lunch at 88 Marketplace. I had their two meats on rice ($12) and picked BBQ duck and roast pork. It was tip-top delicious and hit the spot. It's also a great deal anymore at $12 compared to other meal values out there. Although old timers may remember that a BBQ King lunch like this would have only been $6 not too long ago, but whatever lol. This food court is great in that despite being a busy Saturday lunch time, there was still a table to be found. There's also free parking outside, which is also a big bonus for Chicagoland anymore."
"My lovely wife and I were looking for a new place to try out in Chinatown for lunch, and we were happy with our choice - Slurp Slurp Noodles on Wentworth. We stopped in for lunch on a warm Saturday afternoon, and we were seated immediately. Slurp Slurp seems quick on the draw, as we were served our food mere minutes after placing our orders. They serve hand pulled noodles (and also shaved noodles), so I thought I'd try their oxtail noodle soup with the hand pulled noodles. Even though it was a warm day, I enjoyed my very warm bowl of soupy goodness. The noodles had a pleasantly chewy texture and the broth had a nice flavor to it. The pieces of oxtail were bony, so be careful with eating them so that you do not swallow bone shards accidentally. I did slurp slurp the entire bowl to the very last drop. My love enjoyed her combo fried rice, which tasted good too. We agreed that the portion sizes were just the right amount to satisfy our lunchtime cravings."
"Better to get the sushi than the Chinese. Dee's has both Chinese and Sushi menus. It makes you think about the "Jack of all trades, master of none" phrase. Here it's only like that to an extent. The sushi is pretty damn good and not expensive for as much as you can get. A lot of good stuff but mostly the sushi is the only thing you ever need to try, because that's what it's known for. It seems most people are complaining about the Chinese food in the reviews. The obvious reason why to get sushi! Last time they were only doing carryout. We got a couple rolls. It's about $6 for each. The first one was the Avocado Maki. It's basic looking. The avocado was creamy and fresh, so it was about as good as you can get for this. Rolls are also a good size and filling. The other one was the Oshinko Maki. Also good. It has a vegetable that's almost like a radish. The oshinko is pickled so it tastes vinegary. As for the Chinese food, I haven't tried any yet but maybe some day. This doesn't seem like it's worth it by what I've heard about it. For the price it's pretty good. It seems like the sushi is better than the Chinese food, according to many who have eaten here. The rolls are pretty big and there's lots to choose, from either the basic ones or more expensive specialties."
"05/27/24 - My sister, her friend Tom & I went to this place by mistake thinking it was Great Sea Restaurant . I've eaten at Great Sea before for my nieces birthday. Naturally I was taken aback not remembering the layout.Duhhhh different places. Both Peking Mandarin & Great Sea are on a southeast corner only about 3 blocks apart. Both have yellow & red signage which further added to the confusion in our befuddled mind. We went here after a Memorial Day Service @ Montrose Cemetery for the Japanese veterans (my Ma & Pa are also resting in this section). I unfortunately missed most of the ceremony. While we sat there for over 15 minutes before I finally asked if we could order (slow service). While we sat there waiting it seemed like they were very short staffed but had a decent amount of people dining there as well as a pretty brisk turn around on carry out orders. Peking Mandarin is a $CASH$ only restaurant or Zelle (NO CREDIT CARDS). Peking Mandarin as the name suggests is a Chinese restaurant w/a twist. They seem to have a mix of small dishes like banchan in Korean restaurants We ordered 2 dishes Mongolian Beef (came w/no noodles?) & kung pow chicken, (neither dish was anything special). The also gave us a few dishes of Banchan. The kimchi was EXCEPTIONAL and the best that I ever had. They also had a dish w/takuan a yellow radish dish named after a Japanese priest & pickled onions."
"Even with mixed feelings about this Chinese restaurant, I could certainly eat here again if knowing I won't get sick after eating. It certainly has pretty good flavors. Wok Cuisine is maybe the best Chinese restaurant in Albany Park. Looks crappy inside, but most get carryout so they of course won't care. They have some pretty hot spices. Came the last time and decided to eat in. It wasn't busy at all inside. That's a good thing for eating inside because there's few tables. Has the basics. There's meats like beef and chicken, and vegetarian choices like tofu. It's about $11 for an entree. These are pretty big portions. One was enough for a couple people to be honest. Pretty cheaply run business it seems. Everything gets put in takeout containers. That includes for those eating inside. We got the Bean Curd With Kung Pao Sauce. It was spicy but not too much. The tofu was firm and had a hot peppery flavor throughout. Great flavors that are spicy, but it's kind of a crappy looking place to be honest. It's better to get takeout. There's meaty items, as well as some tofu ones that okay for vegans and vegetarians."
