C. Ellet's at the Battery offers a charming ambiance and delicious food, though it leans towards the pricier side. The restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing, creating a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere. They boast an impressive wine selection and serve delectable cocktails, which added to the overall dining experience. I opted for the steak salad, which was flavorful and satisfying. The ingredients were fresh, and the steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. My husband tried the H&F Cheeseburger and thoroughly enjoyed it; he mentioned the quality of the beef and the tasty accompaniments. While the food was tasty and the service was attentive, the prices were on the higher end, which might be a consideration for some diners. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and we left feeling satisfied with our meals. C. Ellet's is a great choice for a special occasion or when you're in the mood for a quality meal.

C Elliot has a great location right outside the stadium in a very active open air mall setting. I noticed their outdoor seating was being used like the neighboring restaurants as we entered. However, the staff was extremely friendly and had our table immediately ready for us, we did have the reservation. we started off the meal with half dozen oysters and a shrimp cocktail. The oysters were excellent and the shrimp cocktail was good. Moved onto a ribeye, a filet mignon and a New York strip and my older daughter ordered a lobster accidentally made a lobster roll and gave us that as well as her lobster. All of the meals were good but for the price, the meat quality definitely was not up to the standards that I think a restaurant at this price point should provide Side, dishes of potatoes and macaroni and cheese were excellent. We later moved onto dessert ordering a bit of a smorgasbord build your own Sunday. Apple crisp, Keylime pie and chocolate tart all of them were very good. Overall, the food was good. It just wasn't great and for a $500 meal I really feel like the quality of the meat could've been a little better. Let's talk about the service. Our server was excellent super friendly, however, he did ask every time my ice tea glass was empty. If I wanted a refill once again at a restaurant at this level I feel like when the glass is a third empty a new one should be on the table. It took a long time between each course it just didn't seem to flow very well and we had to ask for a dessert menu not a great way to upsell the ticket. My wife had a whoever drop and said it was really tasty from the bar. Overall, I would've given them a 3 1/2 if the system let me however at this price point, they just don't have quite the quality or the service level that you would expect this type of restaurant. I would definitely come back for a business lunch, but I don't think I would return for a dinner.

Stopped by here before a game for late lunch. The Connecticut lobster roll was delicious. I'd definitely go back to order the exact same thing.

It's been a few months since I've been here and I'm happy every time I've came, Pause... smh.. But the service was great and the food top tier... the atmosphere was nice. It wasn't crowded. More so almost empty by the time I came here.l which was great. I walked right in and ordered..

Service was AMAZING. Hannah treated us with lots of attention. The lemon drop with a sugar rim was too strong for me. I couldn't finish it. My husband loved his blackened grouper sandwich and Parmesan truffle fries. I tasted a little of the grouper. It was FRESH & had great flavor. The fries were top notch! Perfectly little crispy gems. I don't like all the extra flavoring personally. I could have made. Meal out of a big plate of salted fries. My cup of lobster bisque was amazing & had a fair amount of succulently sweet chunks of lobster in it. My husband said he thought it was a tomato base that he didn't like. He prefers the more cream & sherry base but I didn't get that. I thought it was great! The Caesar salad had great taste as well but I had wilted brown pieces of lettuce throughout my bowl. Completely unacceptable in my opinion. For the prices we have to pay at the restaurant I hold them to a higher standard. Sending your trashy lettuce out to a customer is shameful. It was my birthday celebration meal before the game that night so I received a complimentary dessert. That's probably why I didn't complain about the salad. I chose the cheesecake. It came with a blueberry compote topping. The crust had a surprisingly salty side note that went over very well. Serve FRESH lettuce and you would have gotten a 5 star rating from me!

Date night ended with dessert at C. Ellet's and that's what this review is all about! Our personable waitress, Amber, brought us the dessert menu. My husband was indifferent, but I was ready to splurge. Since it was my choice, I ordered the Apple Pie à la Mode. It arrived warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream atop and TWO spoons (of course!). For someone who wasn't overly excited about dessert, my hubby happily dug in and we left no crumbs! You'll see from my picture the apple "pie" was really more of cake in both appearance and consistency. I loved the cinnamon filling - delicious! For those of you wondering, "à la Mode" is French. The literal translation means "according to fashion," but on a dessert menu count on the dish being arriving "with ice cream." Enjoy!

Clean and pleasant environment. Polite staff. Nice silverware. Great food. Peaceful dining experience for a date night tucked away from the riff raff of The Battery.

A friend and I came here for brunch on a Sunday. I looooooove a good brunch experience!!! Everything about C.Ellet's was top tier from start to finish. The vibe , the service , and the food!!! We ordered a few apps. Gulf fried shrimp and potato skins (minus sour cream). My friend raved about how delicious the fried shrimp app was and boy, she was accurate!!! She always is. Fried golden brown and the shrimp was so fresh. Really enjoyed this dish. The potato skins were good but would have been better with some bacon. I felt like something was missing besides the sour creme. For my entree, I had their famous burger! Yummy!!! This burger was so juicy and packed with flavor that satisfied every taste bud imaginable! Yeah . The burger was a hit and I highly recommend! My friend had the fried chicken entree. It was a half chicken.... I believe and came with 2 sides and biscuits. She said the chicken was so crispy and moist. It looked great and she really enjoyed her meal as well. I ordered some coffee. It could have been better. The mimosa was wonderful! During our visit , there was a live band. The band was really good and the music wasn't too loud. This made the experience even better. I'll be back because it's totally worth it!

If you're a fan of overpriced food and slow service look no further than C Ellet's. Let's start with oysters that aren't market priced like most upscale establishments they are 5$ each regardless of where they are sourced from and the ones we had that weren't freshly harvested and sized around a nickel weren't worth the time or money. Pretty sure they came out of a jar and they simply put them back In Reusable halfshells. Next you can select an entry that will be served with cold McDonalds fries and wilted salad drenched in dressing with tiny piece of protein, the largest item on the salad that are easily found are the croutons. Avoid added protein that you will be searching for as you'll find a more pleasing meal at any food court. Read the review is the lesson we learned here and could have avoided a 200$ crappy meal. Don't bother asking managers for help they are no where to be found.
