"I LOVE Caribbean food. I've been trekking to Singh's roti shop for months and I finally looked into a roti shop closer to home. Ali's looked great! Close by, a very similar menu, and cheap!I came in on Saturday around 4pm and they had everything ready to go. I got one goat curry roti and one chicken curry roti. Both were delicious! I ordered small for both and it was enough for 1 meal per person. I had a really hard time saving any of it because it was too tasty. I'll order large next time! The price difference is about 4 dollars between the small ($10) and the large ($14).The sides I ordered consisted of string beans, potato, and chickpeas. You get to have 2 per roti. I thought that the sides were only okay. Singh's sides are definitely better but this is a decent substitute. Anyways, the curries were PERFECT. Less bones in the goat and the chicken was amazingly soft. Only downside was that neither roti had a ton of meat. BUT, they had enough. I will be coming back all the time!!"
"*** 11/2019 ***A seasonal specials sheet caught my eye.The Pumpkin Bisque with smoke gouda $5.99 bowl was savory tasty rich, but served lukewarm instead of hot. Both Victoria's Hangover Burger $13.99 (8 oz Angus beef patty topped with a fried egg, smoked bacon, American cheese, smother with black pepper maple syrup aioli) and Victoria's Breakfast Sandwich $10.99 (2 fried eggs, melted pepper jack cheese, famous turkey hash, topped with chipotle mayo) were served on a jumbo English muffin. Both were pretty good. I was just bummed that somehow I always seem to end up with the short end of the stick with my portion of french fries, which by the way, was terrific on this visit.Off the regular menu, the breakfast burrito (shaved sirloin with two scrambled eggs, peppers, onions and pepper jack cheese $10.49) was missing something. It just wasn't particularly well flavored, and the beef came out a bit tough. The portion sufficed though.*** 12/2019 ***New seasonal specials sheet, though there wasn't one on our table, so I borrowed the one I spotted at an empty table not too far away. Two of us ended up sharing two of the specials:Shashuka $14.99This famous breakfast dish from Israel is a delicious mix of 2 poached eggs, smothered with mozzarella and gouda cheese, in a homemade tomato sauce spiced with onions, garlic, cilantro and paprika... Served with a side of toast and homefries or hash browns.Huevos Rancheros $14.99This famous breakfast dish from Mexico is a delicious mix of 2 eggs any style, served with avocado, black beans, cilantro, topped with salsa and shredded cheddar on a corn tortilla.Another friend later commented that traditionally, shashuka is vegetarian, the eggs are cooked in the tomato sauce, and there is no cheese in it.Victoria's may not have been traditional, but somehow the mix with the potato cubes found beneath the gooey saucy cheese with lovely bits of onion and unannounced yet welcome basil leaves was quite tasty, rich, and filling. The other dish was enjoyed by our resident vegetarian. Visually, it was a bit deconstructed a plating, with the tortillas arriving the form of two folded tortilla shells, which we found out could be swapped out for pita upon request. I made myself a breakfast tortilla with my shell.Of the two, I preferred the Shashuka, but if recollections serve me well, I think I may revisit Victoria's Breakfast Sandwich sooner, if it continues to remain on their special roster.*** 1/2020 ***Guess the hash browns were short lived. They weren't offered on this visit when a bunch of ordered omelettes for lunch. The breakfast potatoes were quite good, and they filled the New Market Veggie $10.99 (minus the jalapenos please) quite well with crisp firm vegetables, which made it feel like a sensible healthy option. A DC however wasn't crazy about the sweetened marinade used in their fried chicken.Even though the steak tips in my Victoria's Steak Sandwich on Ciabatta $11.99 came north of the requested medium rare, the meat was still quite pleasantly tender.I've been hankering lately to give their French Toast a try, and only recently realized that their Eggs & Cakes $8.99 come with either pancakes OR french toast ($5.99 a la carte for 2 pieces) with 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes or grits, and choice of toast. Hmmm...No more Monthly Specials for now it seems."

"Stopped to meet someone for lunch.Very reasonable prices and food freshHad the scrod baked sandwich with coke slaw and vegetables. Very good sandwich, cole slaw nice and fresh. Nice restaurant/diner for breakfast, lunch or dinner."
"I visited this MA diner due to the great reviews. I am so glad I listened to yelp. Nice sized lot for the busy part of town. The staff was VERY friendly that I wished I lived closer. The retro vibe was so inviting.Food was tasty. The corn muffins were fresh. They were so good that I took one to go.I'll be back"
"Great old-fashioned diner-style restaurant with tasty breakfast served in huge portions. I got the corned beef hash benedict, which was giant and delicious, with a generous heaping of home fries (I asked for crispy, and they came out perfect). The corned beef hash is the style you might get from a can -- this is not a criticism, because this is the kind of hash I much prefer, rather than the kind made from scratch you might find at hipster restaurants. Coffee was also really good. Service was super-friendly, and I could tell that there were a lot of regular customers. Lots of booth seating. We'll stop by here again the next time we're in this neck of the woods!"
"My absolute favorite brunch spot in Cambridge! There is a long wait time, specially on weekend mornings, but honestly it just flies by when you're catching up with a friend.Their baklava pancakes are a must order, absolutely unique and delicious and hits the spot. The service is also very quick and the folks working there are so kind. Really great experience here!"
"Hole in the wall so perfectly northern diner style. Being in the south, I've missed the New England corn beef hash with runny poached eggs. Although my eggs came out medium poached, it was quickly fixed and everything was delicious. The meat was so flavorful. The potatoes looked like they might be bland but they were heavily seasoned and crispy on the outside. Only catch is they do not serve free refills, but the coffee mugs are pretty big. They also let you know before simply pouring another cup which I find pretty considerate these days."
"TOP NOTCH!I order breakfast from here via GrubHub semi-regularly. I love their pancakes AND THEIR homefries are also fanastic. They always send plenty of syrup, ketchup, butter, and even napkins! (Unlike The Joint in JP that doesn't send syrup because "people have syrup at home").This place is SO GOOD! If they stayed open in evenings or afternoons for delivery, I'd probably order from them far more often."
"Wow! The subs are huge and reasonably priced. Short walk from my office and it's obvious this place is popular. Around 12pm on a Friday, they were rocking.Got a custom chicken cutlet sub and it was loaded. Made to perfection and the nice lady who wrapped and handed me my lunch mentioned, "I hope you're hungry." Now I know I wasn't lol! Good bang for your buck. One sub is enough to share or leave half for later! Recommended if you're in the Back Bay area."
"I've never visited in person, but I order takeout from here regularly and my lowkey favorite: the blueberry muffin. Griddled with butter, it's the perfect mix of salty and sweet. Among other faves, the breakfast sandwiches on oversized English muffins are enormous and so satisfying, and the hash is excellent. The only thing I've tried that I haven't loved is the French toast, which could just be because it didn't hold up well during delivery (sort of ended up in a giant congealed mass). Overall, absolute win."
"Had breakfast with my Daughter-in-law & 2 year old grandson at the L Street Diner & Pizzeria. We were the only ones there early on a November Saturday morning. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Teddy had pancakes that looked really good. My DIL had a 4 egg omelette-wowza! It came with toast & home fries. A good value for around $8. I had Eggs Benedict which was delicious. The ham on it was so juicy & tender. It also came with home fries. The coffee was good and our server came back several times to refill our cups. My only negative comment is that our food could have come out quicker since we were the only ones there when we ordered. And my home fries weren't particularly hot. Otherwise, I see no reason not to return."

Oh my god! So good. It's always the same order. A small roti with chicken curry. You get two sides with a small roti - I go for the spiced potatoes and the mango curry. The chicken curry is flavored really well, even a small bite is like an explosion of flavors in your mouth. The chicken is seasoned well and tender. As for the sides, the mango curry is a wonderful balance of sweet and spice (and everything nice). The mango itself is cooked well and has a hint of sour to it - goes superbly well with the chicken. The potatoes help balance all the curries. There is a little bit of heat in the curries, some days more than others! I'm not sure what the roti is made of (it's not like the tandoori roti you get at Indian restaurants) but, oh my, it goes well with the curry and the sides. Also, one time, they were out of the roti (we got there 15 mins before closing time). So the staff substituted rice for the roti, which was delicious too!.Don't let the outside fool you. It may not look like much but give the food a try and you'll want it every day. The staff isn't very talkative but they are very nice and accommodating. This is definitely a favorite!

Had a fun breakfast here with my daughter and our friend. We were looking for a place we could enjoy which had some parking, since it was our last stop before heading back to NJ. This place was pretty close to our hotel. It's a fun, retro diner, that perfect combination of old grunge and great food. We parked, sat down and were able to order right away. I had a Belgian waffle. My daughter had a strawberry banana smoothie and the Rehab: two eggs, bacon and pancakes. She said it was all delicious. My friend had eggs, corned beef hash and a side of grits.Everything was great, we enjoyed everything and we had a blast. Being able to pay from your phone by scanning a QR code was good, too.Since 1949 - they have to be doing something right!

Solid place, good food. Very clean. I have been here many times. Mostly for breakfast. Eggs are always fresh. Recently had egg whites and thought they were prepared perfectly with spinach mushrooms and bacon. Also the bacon is never greasy. Unlimited coffee and no rushing the customer. The lunch menu has plenty of choices. I do frequent the tuna melt sandwiches. The price is on the ok side but probably in line by todays standards. Parking is tough but a consistently good spot

What a lovely little place!! The food is really good and the service was nice. We love little diner spots and supporting a smaller establishment is the way to go. I loved the look of the diner. Great location. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. Hands down one of the best! My friend LOVED her mushroom and cheese omelet.

I should have taken pics before we started eating but once I dug in I was so impressed, I said I need to write something about this place. After a super long day of travel we wanted some diner food and we're blown away with these big portion sizes and flavor. All 3 of us too a box to go. Love their coffee. My favorite was their big omelettes with homemade fries and HUGE crispy corn beef hash.

Very good. Came here to celebrate daughter's birthday. We are both foodies and this place got great reviews. Also was very intrigued about the baklava pancakes. I got the baklava pancakes. They were very good, just what they say in other reviews. So different and interesting. I am glad I tried them, I don't think I would order them again. Daughter got the Zaatar bowl, and that looked great. I think I would order that on my next visit. Hubby got omelet and was pleased by that. It looked an tasted great. I checked. Having given them 5 stars, and complimented their food, I would not go back there. This restaurant is more of fast food feel, rather than a place to enjoy each other. When we arrived we got the expected line outside, and got inside in about 30 minutes. It was not a quick line. When we were leaving, the line was even longer. This is a place for locals. It is quite small and the inside, though decorated nicely, felt like the inside of a pizza place. Yes, there is table service, but it is louder, and a faster atmosphere. I like that the walls are all written on. Also, asked for water - tap water - no tap water. Had to buy a bottle. Does anyone else feel this is odd?

"This was a family reunion and it was so much fun m, the staff was great and accomplished everything we needed in a short time. We ordered a variety of meals and everything was absolutely delicious, from the eggs, pancakes, French toast to the healthy breakfast bowls. The location is a bit tight in size but the menu and service makes up for it in so many ways. I was impressed how clean it was and for a busy place you could still talk and have a conversation. I would suggest you call ahead or go online thru Yelp to put your name in. We live out of state but when we come back we will definitely return, I can't wait to try something different because all of it is made fresh to order and you can definitely taste the difference, Peace Out till next time!!"
"Stopped by just before the 1 pm rush and got seated immediately. I had the buttermilk short stack with pork sausage and my friend had the turkey club. Had to ask for the air conditioner to be turned down (it was freezing, and I like it cold). Waitress accommodated request by adjusting the fin on the mini split. Thank you! Pancakes were HUGE and I love old fashioned sausage links. Took half home for later! Club was substantially sized as well. "Best fries I've had in my life" says friend."
"I really enjoyed this diner as the food is fresh and delicious...no nonsense. Good menu for breakfast brunch and lunch. Seems to have a good crowd of all sorts coming in. I enjoyed my egg sandwich and home fries. I sampled the buttermilk pancakes which were delicious too. Ambiance is casual and supposed to be a very historical which I love. Love the diner ambiance."
"Eddie knows how to serve up an omelette. He opens at 6:00 on a Sunday. This is unheard of!Perfect if I want to make it to the health club by 7:00.I just had a broccoli omelette with no toast or hash browns. The omelette had at least three eggs. Toast and hashbowns are offered as part of the meal. I just decided to pass this time. It still hit the spot. There were four booths and a counter with stools against the wall. I took a seat a booth where Eddie took my order and brought my omelette out to me. It took him about 5 minutes to make my omelette. Speedy Gonzales! It was clean, neatly picked up. now I I know who is open early for breakfast.I would return if I am in the area."
"When we walked in, our initial impression was that it was a bar. But the name on their sign clearly states "Liberty Diner" which we decided to take at face value.Come in and take a seat. There's a number of tables for 6 along the wall facing the street, while a bar/counter lines the inner wall. Service is friendly enough, but quite casual. Their menu is listed on the boards posted up on the wall. One for lunch, one for breakfast, and a smaller whiteboard which listed a number of seafood dishes on our visit. We ended up sharing the pancakes with one side $7.50 (corned beef hash please), and chicken fingers with french fries $7.50. I wasn't sure if the pacing of the dishes were more due to the fact that we had ordered the first a couple of minutes ahead of the second, or if the chicken fingers just take longer to make than the pancakes. But we were sharing, so what evs.Their pancakes were fluffy and arrived as a stack of three, with butter on each. Their syrup arrived in an Aunt Jemima type bottle, but without a label. The hash were made up with more tiny diced potatoes than bits of corned beef, but it was tasty, not overly salty nor oily. The chicken fingers were white meat with a soft crisp coating. They counted 4 and sat on top of a pile of thin cut soft crisp fries. Notice a theme? Yes, me too. They did have the honey mustard I asked for, which was appreciated, while my DC preferred the old classic - Heinz Ketchup.Limited private parking available, but if you read the signs you can probably find parking on the street as well.Credit cards accepted ($5 or more please)."
"I am not a breakfast person, but massavediner has changed my mind.My wife and I went on a Sunday to this cute diner in Cambridge with a vintage interiorEvery table and counter was packed with people. The Service was smooth and Friendly. We started off with their handcrafted Cappuccino & Strawberry Banana Smoothie. The Smoothie was loaded with real fruits and you can definitely taste it. The Cappuccino was strong and rich. Here is what we ordered: Donnie's BlackBerry Raspberry Pancake topped with Fresh Banana,Pulled Pork Benedict (Special Menu), Homemade Turkey Club,Reuben (Turkey). Blackberry Raspberry Pancake was surprisingly Fluffy, Sweet, & Tasty . It was stuffed with fresh Berries.Pulled Pork Benedict was tender & savory. The egg was perfectly poached on an English muffin. Turkey Club & Reuben (Turkey) were made with Real thick quality Turkey. The Turkey Club had all the classical elements to it. The Bacon was super crispy with fresh Lettuce & Tomato. They offer both Corn Beef & Turkey for the Reuben, but I wanted to switch it up. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of Swiss cheese, Russian dressing & sauerkraut on it. They blended so well together.Go Check them out at"
"A really broad breakfast menu at moderate prices. My sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel was a great way to start the day. Lots of coffee. Not fancy, but very friendly and comfortable. I'll definitely be back here."
"Probably one of the best breakfast I've ever had. This is located bright inRoslindale Square across from my credit union. When we went to have breakfast I had yelp to find a close place by to find breakfast and this came up. The food was cooked order it was perfect the server was very nice and friendly explaining everything that they had. I am looking forward to going there again has the home fries and the omelette was perfect. This is definitely hidden jewel in the center of Rosindale."
"Back in the area visiting , after moving out of MA almost a decade ago. We miss the local Jewish delis and diners. Wagon Wheel is the real deal, brunch for champions and family members alike. We tried it all!Banana bread to start was spongy, warm, butter melted, and fresh. We ordered the special breakfast burrito, the Sunshine breakfast with challah French toast, eggs over easy, sides of corn beef hash, turkey bacon and sausage, a veggie Benedict, a tuna melt, & veggie omelette. Everyone loved the food. Service was friendly and quick. The coffee kept flowing. Ed & Ilene- bravo. A new solid staple for the Sharon community. We'll be back for family reunions now that my sister is a local resident."
"Menu prices are off by about $2 but you do get a large portion of fries and a nice big homemade half sour pickle (not dill). This is a local business and not tech savvy so just be prepared for that. It's a cash only business. I got the BLT and it was goodBut it was $5.69 online on the menu from their websiteAnd then in person on the menu for $10.99 with fries and pickleBut the final price on the bill was $12.99. It is stated on the menu that all prices are subject to change. Staff are nice ladies who run a tight ship. I came for lunch on Monday and it was easy to be seated. Calm crowd and classic diner feel. Very retro frozen in time from an actual point in history -- not like donut villa diner where they retro-fit an existing space into a diner in a way that uses cheap wall decorations. Kelly's is authentically old and they have cool non-functional mini juke boxes on each table booth"
"All around good diner. Everything you'd expect from a typical diner except it's actually a decent size so you may not have to wait as long as other places around the area.Food was good - pretty average but that's expected, and the prices were fair. Service was friendly and I'd go back next time I'm over in the area."
"Overall, pretty good but nothing exciting. My hubby liked the eggs Benedict. The potatoes were tasty and the burrito was okay. I can make it better at home though. Seems like a family restaurant so I'd likely be back to support them. I may just need to give something else a try. Clean restaurant."
"A solid brunch spot to meet friends. The interior is very fun and trendy. Food is solid and they have a good menu that's very food allergy friendly which is good. I ordered the chicken and waffles which are on the savory side. It's tasty but could use either more sauce or something as it's a little dry. Next time I'd ask for syrup. The spiked coffee flight was fun to split amongst friends. I only had the mocha one which was good but so strong I almost couldn't finish it oops. Overall not my fav food ever but convenient for friend meet ups and a solid meal."
"What's a girl from the north shore doing around cape verdian territory (cape verdian restaurant next door). When I was told that this was the restaurant we were going to for a quick brunch I automatically thought of Family Dollar. I'm sure I'm not alone in that one. This family owned restaurant is super welcoming, from the owner to the waitress. I'm glad we got a chance to dine in and supported local family owned businesses. My tuna melt was deliciously affordable. I understand businesses are losing out on a lot of money because people are not vaccinated and can not dine in because of the mandate however, those that are please be prepared to show your vaccination card/or pull it up on your phone. You don't want to lose an opportunity to try this place. Parking lot in the rare of the building."
"We stopped here before a Harvard tour, we decided to stop for breakfast. We decided on the friendly toast, what a fun place! The decor is awesome, it's a combination many fun knick knacks. The staff is very friendly, and not overbearing which is always key.I had delicious eggs Benedict, and coffee with an OJ. I actually came back in the afternoon after I was on my own, I had noticed a Bloody Mary flight so I was curious, they were all delicious with unique flavors! Loved my experience and hope I have the chance to go back again"
"Classic greasy spoon diner with Turkish twist. It's a bit pricier but they make everything fresh and are consistent about it. Fast friendly service, can't really go wrong. I recommend the Challah French toast."
"Great service at the bar. The chicken Marsala was great. The spaghetti bowl was good too. The sauce is fantastic. Large portion of sangria too."
"What a cute little spot! Was visiting family and needed a warm breakfast on a surprisingly chilly rainy April day. Chose this place over dunkin and was pleasantly surprised. The waitress for the whole place was absolutely lovely and very attentive. Loved the classic decor (black and white tile floors, marilyn monroe artwork, and intricate ceiling tiles). Coffee was delicious and the food was comforting. I ordered one of eggs benedict with mushrooms and asparagus- it was good, although I think the asparagus was canned (next time I'd stick to spinach & tomatoe.) My fiancé ordered a traditional shmorgishborg and enjoyed it all. Large portions for the right price. Their lunch specials seemed reasonable too. Street parking was a little tough in this part of Arlington but we managed. Glad we found this place and supported a local business."
"We had another marvelous breakfast this morning. Today we sat outside and the choice to do so, was correct. The area is quiet and there was a nice cool breeze.I got the Irish omelette and it was perfect. The serving was enough for two, but this Irish guy polished off his breakfast. My gf got another type off omelettte which had cheddar cheese and it too was out of this world. Both came with toast and home fries.Hilda took care of us and the service was great.Thank you Hilda.."
"We got excellent Italian, turkey and tuna subs! We are looking forward to going back soon"
"Great neighborhood gem, exactly what we were looking for. Large breakfast portions with that old school ambiance. This is how I want my diners always! The service was quick and friendly."
"Lovely little diner! Not even that crowded Sunday during lunch. I got a bacon cheeseburger and it's the epitome of classic, basic, diner food. Exactly what I wanted on this day while traveling through town."
"Omg! You have to come here for the omelettes. They are absolutely huge and I could only eat a third.Made with 5-6 eggs for the same price as other breakfast places. Under $10.50 with Scali bread and home fries.Been in business here for over 30 years and the owner was a great guy.The help are all wonderful people as well, so no wonder it's a local to go place.Remember, cash only. That's how they keep prices low."
