Whitney D. "This is a bar/restaurant that is attached to the Westin hotel. There is an entrance to it from the hotel lobby. When you walk in from this direction you go into what I guess is the back bar area. They have a nice bar area with tables and some booths and tvs to watch sports. And the front area of the bar has a bigger bar area with some more tvs and plenty of seating. I think there are a few outdoor tables too or only in the warmer months there may be. I did pick up and had a 20.00 voucher card since I was a guest at the hotel. No one told me and it did not say on the card that the voucher could not be used on take out orders. When I asked the guy if there was any possible way he said no but he would call someone, I guess his manager to ask and they also said no. I was pretty bummed. Oh well I guess I can use it next time I am in town. The food was your standard Irish bar/ restaurant type. I did not know what I was in the mood for so, I got mac and cheese with toasted ritz crackers on top, watermelon with feta, cucumber and basil salad and beer battered chicken tenders. The mac and cheese I liked the best. It was a bit cheesy, watery but it still tasted good. The salad had too much feta for my liking, not enough basil and the chicken tenders were very crispy which was fine with me as I think I asked for them to be but a bit too crispy and fried. I did not try anything else or have any drinks here. They have two locations of this place. I have not been to the other one before, but if I had to guess it would be like this one. I will say, it is not like you're missing out in much if you end up not being able to make it here to try this place out. But, if you are in this area of the seaport it's an on spot."

It's a really cute local spot. We made reservations online but they don't seem to use their online reservation system because when we arrived and were expecting a patio seat, they were all full so we had to be seated inside. That was a little annoying but the inside was nice and lively. Really fun atmosphere with the music and decor. As for food I tried the La Piña burger and really enjoyed it. The pineapple was a nice touch. The fries were just okay but I appreciated it came with a good amount. We also ordered drinks which were really delicious!! Follow the map directions and know that it'll take you into an alley (that smells of human urine) to an unmarked door with a tiny sticker that instructs you to call, not knock. Give them a quick call and you'll be let in to a dark, vibey speakeasy-style cocktail bar that looks like it might only fit 15 people max (though, looks can be deceiving as I counted more seats later on). Our server took us to our seats- plush leather armchairs across a small rounded table from one another. The bar is candle-lit and was the perfect pick after I told my husband I wanted to find somewhere "moody" for a pre-dinner drink and bites.I ordered their signature espresso fucking martini as well as the spiced nuts and the Burrata toast. The nuts were flavored with an Asian five spice and were totally addictive. Especially the hazelnuts! But the star was definitely the Burrata toast. The bread was charred and the Burrata with covered in pine nuts, green onions, and a healthy amount of olive oil. Yes to all of this!Overall, it was a great spot and I'd definitely return next time I'm in town."

The restaurant has a very nice brick pizza oven that is visible from the seating area. The menu has several appetizers and pizza options. There are also alcoholic beverages and even cocktails to choose from. I decided on getting a cider with my pizza and I think that was a good choice because it went so well with my food. For pizza I ordered the Diablo pizza which was covered with tons of sausage and slices of jalapenos. And I also ordered their margarite since the pizzas are personal thin crust size. The margarite was perfect! The thin crust was nice and crispy and there was tons of melted cheese. Both pizzas tasted great and the waitress was very nice and attentive. This place has huge oysters. So sweet and not salty. I will be returning for this deal every week. The short rib egg rolls were also awesome. Not greasy and so flavorful. I was really impressed. Dee C. "So my daughter and I were looking for a steak place in the area and came across here. I live in Boston my whole life, and I've never heard of this place, I've been in Arlington, and the Lord knows how many times and never even seen it. It is a little gem, and I'm glad I found it. Upon entering, you're greeted by a really nice hostess, then seated everyone is so polite and so kind. It has an old style rustic Steakhouse look, and I love that it's them in there, so it was exactly the atmosphere I was looking for. They have a pretty good menu, you can find something for everyone on there. From burgers to pasta, seafood, and steaks, they have a variety of things to pick from. Catherine was my server, and she suggested I get the Teriyaki steak tips because I was already considering the steak tips, and she was not wrong. I trusted her advice because she was such a great server and had that on his vibe. I got a side of baked potato and it was really good usually when you go to certain restaurants baked potatoes be so dry that's a question if it's even a real potato but not here it's so good. My daughter had a burger and she also liked it the only problem was there were no pickles which is very weird. My other dislike is I asked for a blended margarita it was very frothy and tasted so watery. Catherine didn't notice that I was drinking it and actually took it off my bill. I guess there are no complaints. All I thought about when I got home was I wish I had dessert but I was way too full, I can't remember the last time I went somewhere and actually finished all the food on my plate.. I was actually upset because I had one steak tip left, and I couldn't finish it, and I wanted it so bad. The prices are also unbelievable, Google the menu. They have a parking lot outside, so parking is no issue at all. All in all, I would definitely be going back here it might be a regular spot for me, at least until I try more of the food."

Great covered outdoor seating available. We started with the buffalo chicken dip, which was delicious, not too spicy. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich, which I felt was a little pricey at $20, but was quite tasty. I ordered the swordfish picata special, which was a decent size portion, but too lemony (that was the only flavor I could taste, and a lot of it); that may be personal preference, i just like a milder lemon/butter flavor vs. sucking on a lemon directly. We didn't have room for desert, but they had several options that sounded very good. Service was good. Luckily we got there just before the dinner rush, as they started filling up halfway through our meal."

The fresh and clean cocktails are mind-blowing; pick your liquor and the mix to go with it and get back something that you will order repeatedly. He offered up menus for both Puritan and Co and the Puritan oyster bar to let me decide which place I wanted to sit. Super friendly guy and just seemed like he was made for this business. I didn't expect him to be so accommodating, but it immediately set this place up for 5 stars. The space is so nice. Feels like a cape cod eatery. You definitely get the ocean vibe. It's spacious and nicely decorated. Food was awesome. Lobster roll was delicious. Comes in hot buttered or mayo style. Fries were crispy too. Salmon crudo was refreshing. I could have eaten another plate. Definitely get this dish. Caviar cone had a cool presentation. Also tasty. Yellowtail tacos were fresh and yummy. I could eat quite a few of these. The place does great small plates. I highly recommend getting a mix of things. It was all fresh. They do a selection of oysters too. With the oysters are squeeze bottles of toppings. Brilliant. (Also, if you're a total newbie like me, don't go around the corner outside below the Longfellow sign, you'll just see a staircase leading down to the basement. You need to go inside the restaurant above the sign Brattle Hall and the bar is upstairs. I popped in and asked the hostess where Longfellow was and she very coolly told me I was already here. Whoops.)We put in 3/4 of our drink orders well before this massive group swept through and went out onto the rooftop deck, but didn't get most of our drinks until maybe half an hour to 45 minutes later. I didn't mind since we were all catching up, but it did feel like we were forgotten about, when our waitress started bartending too (or mixing ... I forget whether bartenders at cocktail bars prefer to be called mixologists instead). One of our party ordered a drink a few minutes after the rest of the group did and she just never got her drink. Seems maybe they go drink by drink rather than table by table? Given how long we waited by then, she just cancelled her drink and we all opted to not order a second round, which is a shame, since the ingredients and combos all sounded pretty inventive. Mine was good, a tad on the sweet side. The setting is beautiful - the seats at the horseshoe bar would be great for a date or relaxing dinner. We didn't order any of the food. All in all, check it out if you don't have anywhere else to be/aren't falling asleep by 9pm (I'm guilty of the second one, for sure)."

Our server was excellent, showing incredible temperament on Mother's Day (don't judge) even with a few kids running from their seats to their cousins'. The staff here is exquisite in their patience, attentiveness, and professionalism. The chicken drippings were served cold. I thought it was a bold approach, but the server assured me it was a mistake. The same bowl was returned microwaved (?) and it tasted like nothing. Watery nothing. Bob S. "I was in town for a conference in the Seaport and wanted to find an outstanding restaurant for my first meal. After reviewing several sites, plus Yelp, I selected Chickadee. What caught my attention was several of the principals had worked at Barbara Lynch's No 9 Park and Chickadee's amazing 4.5 score on Yelp. It's self-described as a New England-born and Mediterranean-inspired restaurant. There were plenty of reservations available mid-afternoon Tuesday on Resy, which I found surprising for a great restaurant. I selected a 6pm reservation.Having read an extensive review of Chickadee in Boston Magazine, I was ready to order quickly. I started with two signatures: the Smoked Sea Trout Dip and the Crispy Hen of the Woods. The Trout is buried under a layer of light hollandaise-like sauce. The Hen of the Woods mushrooms look like a crazy Bloomin' Onion atop a thick puree of potatoes, walnuts and garlic. Both were excellent and so unique.I was debating between the Spring Onion Spetzle or the Lobster Campanelle pasta. I asked Santiago, my server, which I should pick and he suggested the Lobster. He said the Lobster is somewhat spicy, with Calabrian chili. I asked for it to be served on the side.I can't put my finger on what I disliked about the pasta. It was bland. And the chili sauce was too spicy to be added. You'd think with lobster, it had to be good. I ate about a quarter of my plate and it just wasn't working for me. I set the dish aside and waited for Santiago's return. He asked me if I wanted to box it, and I said no.What I found odd is why he wouldn't have asked if there was an issue with the pasta. But since he didn't ask me, he'll need to read this review. After two amazing starters, I was disappointed with my entrée. As I walked out, the two managers thanked me for visiting, but didn't ask how my meal was.I don't know what would have happened if I told Santiago I didn't like the pasta. Ditto for the managers. Maybe they would have found some accommodation. Regardless, I tipped Santiago 20% and called it a night. I was in the restaurant for one hour."

It's a must-try in the greater Boston area, especially if your budget allows for it!Two of us stopped by on a Thursday evening to try to get a table and were told the wait would be over an hour. We put down a phone number and got a call within 20 minutes that there were seats available. We were seated at the bar instead of at a table, but the bar was a really nice experience because the bartenders were friendly and super helpful with the menu. The drinks were excellent, too!We ordered a tartare dish that wasn't printed on the menu, the chicken liver crostini ($8), prosciutto di parma ($19), bucatini all'amatriciana ($26), papardelle ($30), some focaccia to mop up the sauces ($1/piece), and the blueberry upside-down cake ($14) to finish the meal. We were stuffed by the end of the meal. All of the dishes were incredible! I especially enjoyed the chicken liver crostini. It was packed with so much umami flavor that I was salivating while I ate it. The tartare was fresh and tasty and I would recommend it to anybody who likes raw beef. The prosciutto was rich and savory and came with sweet, juicy chunks of melon.I went into the meal expecting to prefer the papardelle over the bucatini but was pleasantly surprised to find out that I liked the bucatini more. Both pastas were prepared to a perfect al dente and had plenty of savory flavor. Whereas the papardelle had a very homey, earthy savoriness to it, I loved the brightness and tanginess that the tomato-based sauce brought to the bucatini. The tanginess paired perfectly with the crispy, sometimes fatty sometimes meaty pieces of pancetta, and everything was tied together with creamy pecorino.I'm glad we did not skip on the desserts. The blueberry upside-down cake had sort of a strawberry shortcake vibe to it. The highlight was the brown butter frosting which had so much caramel flavor. Everything on the plate was sweet, but not too sweet!I will have to come here many more times to sample the rest of their menu!"

That and the fact that they aren't afraid to use basic seasoning (looking at you, On Deck). Unfortunately, I didn't come hungry. So I only had enough space in my stomach for the Rattlers. These were great! The chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly and was the true star of the show. The supporting acts of cheese and sun-dried tomato tortilla did not get lost along the way. In a word, everything was balanced! Only the tiny (and undressed) side salad seems like an afterthought. I'd also like to take a moment to point out the sauces. The habanero ranch was pleasant, though alas, my heat tolerance to make an impact. The hot sauce, though... let me tell you: this stuff is HOT! Solid flavor and real heat! Proceed with caution. The Cool as a Paloma cocktail was terrific! It hit all the right notes from the recipe. There were flavors of cucumber, a little sweetness from the grapefruit, and some spice from the jalapeño. Overall, it was refreshing and strong despite not tasting super boozy. Finally, the vibes, as mentioned earlier: This is the kind of place with local regulars where everyone knows each other. The orange sauce on the pizza added a touch of salt, and I was overall delighted with this dish. And finally, I ended with a roasted banana dessert. This was good, but it paled in comparison to the first two courses. Certainly worthwhile, though, given the fresh whipped cream.Overall, I definitely recommend bar cino, and I will definitely be returning."
