J's Smokehouse

Ordered thru GrubHub and was pleasantly surprised!The chicken was perfectly grilled/smoked and the sides were well-seasoned (I do wish there was more chicken for the price but ya know.... inflation). The mac, collards, and baked beans were good too - the baked beans did not taste like they just poured a can of Bush's in a pot which is the norm for many BBQ spots over here! The Mac was perfectly seasoned and creamy, wasn't super cheesy but it was good. The collards were perfectly cooked and seasoned - not too vinegary just perfect!The Brisket Sandwich was SO GOOD! The only con was that by the time it arrived the bottom bun was a little soggy but only because they PACKED it with a good amount of meat - they did not skimp!Unfortunately, the crispy fries and Salmon wrap were not available so I ended up subbing it for another two-piece chicken plate. Shoutout to the gentleman who called me to let me know and updated the order for me - I'm glad we have a good BBQ spot we can order from now! 10/10 we highly recommend giving them a go!(2) Two-Piece Grilled Chicken w/ Mac, Collards & Baked Beans(1) Brisket Sandwich w/ Coleslaw

Definitely support this business, even if it's just one time. The staff is super nice and the chef is a jewel. The food is southern, so if you're a northerner, you may not vibe with some of the flavor, especially the collard greens. My husband is a northerner, and he didn't like it at all. I'm from Atlanta. I love ALL southern food!My 3 stars are for the excessive flies that were in the food truck. Chef was fanning flies as he plated my food. They need to keep the back door of the truck closed and put something on the inside to abate the flies. They were feasting up in there! Other than that, it's a cool spot. It's very easy to get to and there's ample parking.

J's Smokehouse ran by Jonnetta Patton Usher's mother recently opened a BBQ on-line pickup only location, but also operates a food truck. A good friend of mine had J's come out and Cater lunch today. We had the pleasure to sample a select few items off the menu which were brisket, grilled chicken, Mac n' cheese, collard greens and potato salad along with some southern style lemonade to wash it all down. I would rate everything I sampled 7/10. Mrs. Patton and her staff were super friendly and down to earth. Operating hours for the pickup location are Tue-Sat from 11a-7p. I would definitely visit J's Smokehouse in the future to try additional menu items.

New foodtruck in doraville offering bbq and other soul food items. They're currently on doordash. I'm hoping they're eventually on uber eats.

We drove from the Six Flags area to J's Smokehouse today, the meal was excellent, cooked prefect and very healthy. We had ribs, chicken, brisket, mac and cheese, broccoli salad, sweet potatoes,and collards. We had our own party!!!!
