"My dinner was delicious, the chef cooked everything to perfection. He did his tricks and they were also cute. He engaged with the customers also.. Definitely will be back.."
"If you're looking for an extraordinary culinary adventure, look no further than the Omakase experience at Chirori. From the moment we stepped into the intimate sushi bar, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a minimalist aesthetic that allows the artistry of the food to take center stage. We opted for the Omakase, and it was nothing short of a revelation. Each course was a beautifully curated experience, showcasing the freshest ingredients and the chef's incredible skill. The fish was impeccably sourced, and the meticulous attention to detail in each presentation was breathtaking. It felt as though we were being taken on a journey through the ocean, with each dish telling a story of flavors, textures, and artistic flair. We also chose the sake pairing for an additional $70, and I cannot recommend this enough. The sake selections were thoughtfully chosen, each one enhancing the flavors of the corresponding dish. The pairing was not just a complement; it elevated the entire experience. From the refreshing notes of Junmai to the rich, umami-driven flavors of a premium Daiginjo, each sip was a perfect match that brought out the best in the food. The knowledgeable staff were eager to share insights about each sake, enriching our understanding and appreciation of the pairings.Highlights of the evening included a delicate toro that melted in our mouths, a perfectly seasoned and grilled eel that was both sweet and savory, and a unique dessert that surprised us with its creativity. Each course flowed seamlessly into the next, creating a harmonious rhythm that kept us engaged and delighted throughout the meal. The sushi chefs were incredibly skilled and passionate about their craft, and their warmth made the experience even more special. Watching them work, we felt like we were part of an exclusive culinary performance, where every cut and every plate was executed with precision and care.In conclusion, the Omakase at Chirori is an experience that any sushi lover should indulge in at least once. With the additional sake pairing, it becomes a symphony of flavors that truly celebrates the art of sushi. We left feeling not only satisfied but inspired, already dreaming of our next visit. If you have the chance to sit at the sushi bar at Chirori, seize it--you won't regret it!"

Visit Restaurant Page"Great experience here trying the Yakitori tasting which included one of each of the meats and veggies and a dessert one for 9 total plus a salad and rice pilaf for $65. We had one each and it was def enough food. We like the chicken a lot, steak was just ok {maybe bc we prefer med rare and having well cooked in general just wasn't our jam} , lobster was a large piece tempura style and super yummy. Veggies were all awesome. We didn't need our shishedo pepper app since they were part of the veggies skewers oops lol. Mushroom and squash and also tomato were all so good. The tuna ball app was huge and came with crispy wonton chips -also very good. Service was outstanding. Our server was so helpful and made great recommendations and points to help up select our food and accommodate our toddler and his food. We got the kiddo two chicken skewers {sans onions } and some rice. Ambience was a bit different than expected--but it matched the VaHi vibe and felt a bit more low key and casual than the Kinji other spots {kinji room MF} Doors open to the street, which is inviting however we got a whiff of smoke while eating since the spot is pretty quaint and has a clear view to outside. Some tables out on the street, bar seating, and table/booth options as well. Overall def worth checking out and pretty awesome if you are trying to eat clean and simple."
"My new favorite sushi spot in Buckhead!!! This place has everything you could want: good prices & quality sushi, a HUGE menu, validated parking (and plenty of spaces in the garage), friendly servers, and a spacious restaurant with a patio! I had such a wonderful time here and will absolutely be back soon. I got 2 sushi rolls and it was very affordable and filling!"
"Really enjoyed coming here! I was grabbing lunch with my sister the other day and it was later in the afternoon, so the place was very calm and not crowded. ***LOCATION***In the Lidl shopping center. Plenty of parking and easy to find!***ATMOSPHERE***The atmosphere is really nice. The decor makes it feel very upscale but the prices are very reasonable. The inside was calm with quiet music playing and overall really pleasant. ***BATHROOM***Also very clean!***STAFF***Very friendly and attentive. Our waitress came to check on us a couple times but not too much to where it was every minute. She made sure our food was out quickly and that everything was correct.***FOOD***Really good! We split: vegetable fried rice, cucumber and avocado sushi and the veggie tempura roll. I was so glad to see so many vegetarian options. They had a whole section on the menu! My favorite was the cucumber avocado sushi and my sister prefered the tempura roll. We both were not huge fans of the rice surprisingly because it had a really strong mushroom taste. It was very overwhelming, and I have actually never had mushroom in my fried rice at similar restaurants. If you like mushroom you would like it, but we only like a little, but not enough to flavor the whole meal. It was still edible and I am sure most people would enjoy it, but we would probably just order more sushi next time vs the rice. ***PRICE***I know the rice was about 10$ because they only have a full order, which was fine since we were splitting it. The sushis were each about 6$ I believe, which is a good price! ***CONCLUSION***Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area :)"
"YOU ARE IM-PECKABLE! Ordered from Ponko Chicken on DoorDash tonight! Was pleasantly surprised by how awesome this spot was. We ordered a bunch of things to try. The hot dog, chicken plate, green beans and the cup cakes. All delicious! I was way too hungry so no pictures sorry. But trust me it was all very good and flavorful!"
"This place is in a strip mall. The strip mall has two levels which makes it almost impossible to see the venue from the street. The parking lot can be busy if the other establishments are open. I came during a weekday night and there were plenty of parking.I was immediately sat at the bar. Bar space is pretty cramped so I would suggest a table if you came with others. They had plenty of Uber Eats and Door Dash orders being picked up while I was there so it is popular. The waitress was very attentive and recommended some good sushi rolls to me. The sushi chefs are right behind the bar and you can see them make the sushi. I got an Alaskan roll, chef choice - looked like sashimi, and Buckhead roll. All the rolls tasted great but I liked the Alaskan roll the most."
"OMG food so good I ate it two nights in a row! While on family vacay we initially went to Benihana's and they had an hour wait time. So I came to my trusty yelp app and boy I'm glad I did. First night I had the shrimp fried rice and chicken egg rolls. Absolutely delicious! Second night I had the beef fried rice and crab ragoons. Again everything was delicious! The staff were very friendly! I ordered for to go so from what I could see the restaurant was nicely decorated."
"Once again back in Duluth and HAD to stop by. They're still AMAZING and on point. This time we tried the Sunset Roll which was delicious. The lemon added a nice citrus to the whole roll. Our friends got the Gyudon and reported the meat and sauce was nicely seasoned. The chicken teriyaki skewer was ON POINT! Not too sweet, seems like they use chicken breast, seasoned well and juicy."
"Drove by this spot countless times but finally checked out Sushi Yoko. After stopping by the Tomato 2 Japanese Grocery Store, we stopped by and had a quick lunch. PRO: - Affordable! You don't see $10.95 lunch combos around very much anymore so imagine our surprise when you have 24 options to choose from. Everything on the menu seems very reasonable for lunch. All lunch orders come with ginger salad, miso soup and rice. - Service was good. Our food arrived pretty quick and presentation was nice. CONS:- Location isn't very convenient and the space is very dated. The entrance isn't very obvious and honestly doesn't look very nice from the outside. Main entrance leads down a hall that has two doors at the end: one for the Japanese market and the other for the restaurant. Sashimi quality was OK - not the freshest but you're getting this at a steal. Ginger sauce on the salad was yummy. Grilled salmon was very good albeit it's a small piece. Udon was very basic with only a piece of sweet tofu on top and some scallions. No other garnishes. Parking: private lot (free)Overall, it's A-OK. Glad we had the opportunity to try this place."
"Loved this repot I tried with my uncle for lunch. The service was great, the cashier was very nice and patient with my request. Pearling was easy. It was clean inside and not over crowded. The wings were a good size and cooked perfectly. I order their hot honey with lemon pepper with their shrimp fried rice. The food was 10/10! Everything was made fresh to order so bettering came out hot. The veggie egg roll was the best I've had. I will be back."
"Excellent experience. It was my granddaughter's 10th birthday and she had never been to a Hibachi type restaurant. The restaurant was clean and the initial greeting was warm and inviting. Our server was attentive and quick with our drinks. We had sushi for starters, which were fresh and delicious. Also the cost was wonderful. Once the table was filled with other diners the chef presented himself. Since we had the birthday girl, he made her feel special. She was overly surprised. We were engaged as he prepared the food. The servings were large, fresh and delicious. Plenty to take home! Will visit this location again although not in my immediate location."

Excellent Hibachi!!!My expectations of non-american food OTP are pretty low. I was totally wrong for walking in here expecting food the same quality as Panda Express lol. The service was great. Everyone was actively making sure you are well taken care of from the chill young woman at front desk, to the chef and the waiters. The smell of smoke was substantially controlled as well. The menu is reasonably priced and the portions are MASSIVE. The food was DELICIOUS!!! SO MUCH FLAVOR! not just butter and soy sauce like most places. The sushi had a little more rice than I would like, but it was pretty ok. I had the hamachi roll.

A hidden gem in midtown with a happy hour and free parking? Sign me up. Their happy hour is from 5-7 on weekdays and they have a free lot in the back. The rolls were phenomenal, exceptional in taste and quality. The service is relatively quick as well. My friend and I ordered three rolls, and we left extremely full. I have always had a pleasant experience at Chirori and always look for excuses to visit.

Yakitori Kona is a compact but cozy izakaya and robata spot located right in the heart of Virginia Highland. We stopped in for happy hour on a recent Friday night and were delighted to sit at their small bar, with the breeze rolling in from the open doors onto the busy sidewalk. We started with cocktails- an All the Feels, a tequila number, for her, and a deliciously fruity red gine and tonic for me. We snacked on a well seasoned and charred order of shishitos, plated elegantly and dusted with togarashi. A perfect, new spot in the neighborhood for casual drinks and light Japanese fare.

I came here under the suggestion of a friend. They told me the Maki wasn't really good, but I didn't want to try it for my first dish. I ended up ordering the shrimp and vegetable teriyaki, which was amazing. I love the sauce they use. I'm happy with the amount of sauce that was on the food. I asked the waiter to bring me out sake and I didn't care what flavor because I wanted to just guess and I enjoy all types of sake, so it was not a bother. And I'm grateful that they Went on a to surprise me. I know how challenging that can be in the food business because everyone is particular but they made an excellent ones so I suggest trying the apple sake.

I ordered the Saba, the Ika, the Toro, the spicy tuna, and the Unagi. My order cost $57. I got 6 pieces of nigiri sushi and 5 pieces of sashimi. The interior was very classy and while I did not stay they had protocols in place for Covid as well as hand sanitizer available and they wore masks when taking my order. There was an outdoor seating area, but it didn't look very comfortable overall.Sushi itself was very good. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The Unagi was fantastic. They did not add too much of the barbecue sauce to it it was more about the flavor and texture of the unagi itself. The Toro was on point and had a good mouth feel as well as a clean palette. The spicy tuna wasn't necessarily very spicy. The saga was fresh. The Ika had the perfect amount of give and it was fresh. The real question is would I go back? I probably would not go back because it was quite a bit more expensive than I expected. I knew it was going to cost a little more, but I really didn't expect it to cost me quite so much.

First time ever eating at a Ponko Chicken and I liked it. This was the last stop on our bar crawl. There were two bartenders. One bartender kept forgetting people's order and so felt badly for him. The other bartender was picking and choosing who to make drinks form. There was no order whatsoever. The food tasted amazing. I had chicken and a waffle and I loved it. The drinks weren't bad either. They had run out of a lot of things, but I was okay with what I got. I had a pineapple mimosa. Mostly champagne, no juice at all, but it was good. They have an outdoor seating area that was nice. There was food and plates on several tables, but employees tried to keep the areas clean as best they could. The restaurant was packed. I tried the fried pickles too and they were just okay. They were cut in spears and didn't have a lot of breading on them, so it was like eating a hot pickle. I liked the layout of the restaurant. It wasn't big at all, but the counter to place orders being at the back helped with traffic flow. I'd come here again to try something else.

So it's in my neighborhood so I figure I would give it a shot. It's not super big but just big enough. It can help plenty of people and they have a full bar as well. Parking is free because it's in a complex with other things so you don't have to worry about that. You come and have to wait at the door and then no seat you. It was actually fairly quick. It took a minute to get him in you and to get somebody over but after that it was smooth sailing. They were nice and friendly and I had no issues.I tried the chicken hibachi with fried rice and I tried to spicy shrimp and spicy crab roll. The sushi is $7 a roll basically so I thought I would give it a shot just because. It's a sushi bar after all so I feel like it should be good lol. The food was pretty good. I don't have any complaints. As for a little spice and it didn't have as much spices I wanted to on the hibachi, but that was not the end of the world. It was still good and still tasty.

I was downtown this week and the craving for Asian food hit me, I stumbled on this restaurant tucked in on a main road, I honestly would have missed it if I was just driving by. What stood out to me about the restaurant more than the building was the was a very colorful woman Mrs. Chang who cracked jokes and made you feel at home it was very nice and inviting. But the restaurant and layout is very nice and cozy honestly. The food was great soooo many options that I NEED to try, did I mention they have Sushi and not just 5 basic rolls they have a great selection. This will definitely be one of my go to spots in the city. More to come!
Visit Restaurant Page"50% off all sushi. All the sushi has tasted great. The place is clean on the inside and not busy when I visited. The sushi seems to be priced a little higher than other locations but the sushi is much bigger. Sushi is so big that it may fall apart while eating but that is not a big deal.I ordered the Superman roll, Lenox roll, and Lobster soup. The Lobster soup was a complete miss. There was a ton of mushrooms and a few lobster pieces at the bottom of the bowl but not worth ordering. The Superman roll uses soy paper instead of seaweed wrap. The Lenox roll is a deep fried tempura wrap and it is delicious."
"My favorite sushi restaurant in our neighborhood!Don't let the bland exterior and shopping center fool you. This restaurant is perfect for private lunch or dinners. Every table has its own very private booth. There is also a bar area for more casual seating. The food here is fresh and delicious. They have a variety of "bento" entrees if you're feeling a bit of everything. My personal favorite is the Lady's Bento. Service is always amazing. Very friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable. Definitely a neighborhood favorite!"
"This place is beyond!Stopped into Fukulala for an early dinner with a friend. Nestled in a busy shopping center, however we were able to find parking quickly and were seated immediately. Service was quick and helpful. This place immediately gives off chill vibes with its cozy seating and calming lighting. We immediately ordered. We order the pork belly buns, soju to drink, and a few of the shrimp and salmon signature rolls. Everything was delicious! And good size portion for everything. It was awesome to see it all be made but even better when it tasted amazing! Definitely will be back whenever I'm on this side of town."
"We were craving sushi and stopped by for a few rolls. They seemed like a family-owned small business, with their daughters playing at a table - it reminded me of my own childhood! The service was super friendly. All the fish that we had was fresh. We tried a few Regular Rolls and a Tempura Fried Roll (Godzilla). The tuna inside the Godzilla Roll was cooked, which makes sense looking back, but wasn't what I was expecting when ordering.Since we went on my sister's birthday, we got a free Tempura Cheesecake! It was really yummy - the outside was crispy, while the inside was warm and oozy."
"Come hungry. If you come for dinner they have all you can eat crab legs which are constantly being turned over because people are loading up. They've got sushi, they've got ramen, they have all of your standard hibachi favorites. There is so many things to try here to include matcha ice cream for dessert. Everything is actually made fresh and it is worth the price of Entry"
"I've been at this restaurant several times, and I thought I wrote a comment. The food is fresh, but this time they lost my order online. So when I got here, I had to place another order. The staff is friendly and helpful if you need assistance with the menu. We ordered hibachi rice with steak and shrimp. My husband don't like mushrooms, and they cooked the rice with them. So he didn't eat any. We also ordered lemon pepper wings, a gyro combo and Philly chicken with fries. I placed 4 different entrees, for 6 people. We all shared and still had food left. We will be back soon."
"Food is so good and affordable! Everything is fresh. Best shrimp fried rice down in this town. I love the small, simple menu. Krab salad was tasty and fresh.. Sushi is good too. Finally something different, simple and good."
"While attending Dragoncon this week we had lunch at Yami Yami. Pretty much you buy food by the pound so you can mix sushi pieces with any of the other foods they have available. Buffet style, you grab your styrofoam container and pour away. Reasonable price and you get a variety of food. Unfortunately, no pics were taken."
"I'm so happy to have found this restaurant on Yelp. I wanted to head to Sandy Springs for other reasons but wanted dinner first with my family. Love the vibe here and the decor. I haven't been to a restaurant in a long time that had the kind of service we experienced. From the front door on, we really felt welcome. The hostess was especially amazing and my daughter at the end of the meal was debating sorbet, and she actually brought a small bowl to her complementary with a little whip cream, compliments from the chef. It was such a nice gesture. Let's talk about the food... My sushi roll. The Mexicana was terrific. It was fresh, spicy, and their spicy mayo was on point. My ginger salad was fresh. My daughter enjoyed her salmon roll. The pickiest one of us all, my boyfriend, always seems to compare every place we go for hibachi to one place that he really really likes. He said their hibachi parallels the place he likes so well. That was shocking to me. He also ordered a nonalcoholic Mojito, which was very refreshing. They do have a full bar, but I decided not to drink last night. I'm so glad that everyone had a terrific meal, and again the service really stood out. This place is a little drive for us but so worth our time. Please give them some love too and keep this business thriving!"
"This might be our new sushi spot!! Great customer service and great prices. We ordered takeout and was asked to have a seat while we waited. Casual izakaya style seating. They brought us water and even a scoop of ice cream for each of us while we waited - an unexpected kind gesture. We ordered 1 sashimi and udon bento to go. It was $22 and huge. Fish was fresh and lots of additional items like unagi and tempura. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to return."
"While dining at Big B's next door, I noticed the happy hour menu posted on the door at Taka Sushi. It was at that moment I knew I needed to come back and check it out. We'd brought the pup so we needed to sit outdoors... and of course it was raining... but luckily the outdoor seating was covered. Happy hour consisted of half off beers, discounted select glasses of wine, hot sakes & Taka vodka seltzer. $5 California and spicy tuna rolls and $4-5 salmon/tuna/hamachi nigiri. And honestly that's all I need to sustain myself LOL. We ended up gorging on nigiri and rolls - but to fill up further, we ordered off the regular dinner menu. The okonomiyaki hit the spot and the sashimi sampler was chef's kiss! The fish quality seemed lower in the happy hour dishes than the sashimi sampler, which of course, makes sense. I will have to come back again for a full dining experience to get a better picture of it all!"
"Came to Oystra with a friend for lunch. Neither one of us have been here. Upon walking in was greeted and sat immediately. The restaurant is very cute inside looks quaint and small, but there is another room in the back.I let my friend order our appetizer because I told her I did not raw salmon because it was too chewy & fishy. Well turns out that's not even what it's supposed to taste like and I must've had a bad experience. She ordered the Nigri we got the salmon, salmon, belly, and tuna. Every single one of those were absolutely delicious and so fresh! The sushi chef even came over and said they switch out the fish every two days, I would definitely try any one of those again. In between our appetizer and entrée, we got some banchan, which consisted of bean sprouts, cucumbers, radish I think, and I'm not sure what the last one was but they were all great. For our lunch entrée (I had planned on getting Ramen but we never made it past our sushi rolls for the rolls) we got the aloha roll and the Spider-Man that Spider-Man role is pretty big and it took two bites to eat which is not a bad thing. It was absolutely delicious and flavorful , the aloha roll was great as well. I liked the taste of the spicy tuna. After we were done eating, the waitress bought us a little tray of desserts to share. One of the desserts tasted like a little fruit parfait. The other two things were a chocolate macaroon, and I believe a sweet bun filled with cream. All in all we had a great experience I really enjoyed my service and food, and would definitely come back or recommend."
"I came here for my birthday on 9/20 and chose the hibachi side. It was amazing! The people here are very friendly and the food and drinks were well made and decently priced! My party had about 12 people and we all were beautifully accommodated. I'll definitely be back"
"Came to Prefecture on my wife's birthday and were happy to dine at such a fine establishment in Atlanta. Our waiter was kind and made good recommendations and he suggested to us to go to with the Omakase menu but my wife and I opted for the Tapas and Small plates dishes. We ordered 7 dishes from there and felt happy with our choice. The cocktails were excellent and the seafood and wagyu dishes were wonderful. Since we didn't go with the Omakase meal I can't speak for the quality of that but the small dishes we ordered were all wonderful and full of flavor and quality. Our waiter gave us detailed descriptions of each dish and drinks we ordered and helped bring the meal together and made for a comfortable and well narrated meal. Don't think you can go wrong with any of the food options off the tapas menu and the drinks we ordered were all excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant is high class and a feeling of luxury and a well pampered meal and great for a special occasion as the prices were a bit high but well deservedly so. We came a bit early as our reservation was before 6 and had time to take some pictures in the restaurant which was nice. With regards to parking, we self parked in a covered parking lot directly adjacent to the entrance of Prefecture and while it is not officially Prefecture's parking lot, we were told it was fine to park there.Overall, my wife and I give Prefecture 5 stars and recommend them for a special occasion and give two thumbs up.Thank you!"
"Came here during a visit to ATL on the advice of my daughter. DID NOT DISAPPOINT It's a plate of rice, veggies & vegan protein. The portion is large. The sauce is super tasty. It was VERY busy the night we went, waited about 20 minutes (same wait time as the other popular food stalls)Friendly service."
"I gotta spill the beans about my recent lunch at Circle Sushi--it was seriously awesome! From the moment I stepped in, the vibes were chill and the staff were super welcoming. Now, let's talk lunch. Circle Sushi ain't messin' around with their lunch game. Prices? Totally wallet-friendly. Options? Off the charts. Whether you're into sushi rolls, bento boxes, or a mix of both, Circle Sushi has got you covered.Let's dish about my fave--the spicy salmon roll. Talk about fresh! Every bite was a flavor explosion in my mouth. And don't even get me started on their bento box. It's like a mini food adventure in a box--so satisfying!Bottom line: If you're on the hunt for a killer lunch spot that won't break the bank, Circle Sushi is where it's at. Trust me, you won't regret it!"
"I dropped by for lunch after grocery shopping at GW supermarket, located in the same plaza. Just looking for a quick bite to eat, I did not expect such a nice restaurant. It's a Korean owned Japanese restaurant- so expect Japanese style bento boxes and sashimi/sushi combos served with Korean banchan. There are private eating rooms with buzzers to let waitresses know when you are ready for their attention. The lunch menu is INCREDIBLY high value. We had delicious bento boxes (loved the sushi and tempura) for $16 which come with banchan, a large steamed egg, and complimentary porridge. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for delicious and reasonably priced food with nice atmosphere and service."
"This was my first time coming during the week for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they serve the same food as the weekend. This is deep within a strip mall so you will not be able to see it from the street. Plenty of parking. They have a sushi station but I would avoid this. Most of the sushi has some type of pickle in it. Seems like you are eating pickles with rice. You can tell that the sushi is low quality ingredients and hastily made. I put it below grocery store sushi. They have a Hibachi station to cook all your food to order. The ribs tasted ok but I wish they were warmer. Same for the egg noodles. All the chicken dishes tasted great. I had too much food and I enjoyed it. Buffet and drink cost about $16."
"My partner and I had an amazing time at NoriFish. The ambiance was spectacular and staff were so friendly! We ordered the Omakase 18 Item ($165), as well as the Lychee Garden Cocktail. Each plate was presented elegantly, and every single item we tasted was fresh and absolutely delicious. My favorites were the Sake, Harami, O-Toro, and A5 Wagyu nigiris, and the Amaebi Ceviche Tostada. We also received complimentary soup that was made from Madai fish, and it was hands down the best soup I've had in a while. The broth was clean, yet rich in flavor; I'm convinced it could cure any cold! I also enjoyed the Matcha Sundae, but it was surprisingly very petite."
"Hayakawa is perhaps the closest representation of how Atlanta has transformed and matured over the years. From a low key and highly respectable strip mall establishment on Buford Highway for many years to what is likely the most expensive restaurant in the city. The incredible thing is that now, there is a clear market for such dining and the reservations are difficult to come by. For those living in the area for extended periods of time, that transformation of taste, market and willingness to splurge is both exciting and foreign. And on the note of splurging, it is absolutely no small feat to spend over $1200 here with some sake and wine to go along with the meal. With all that noted, Hayakawa is perhaps the closest thing in the city to dining at a similar establishment in Japan. It is highly personal, intimate and educational. The interactions with chef Atsushi "Art" Hayakawa are engaging throughout the dining experience. Explanations and stories of home provided by Monet provoke appetizing curiosity, whether discussing sake or wasabi. There is really no reason to dive into discussion of individual fish cuts, as they do vary, but one can be sure of their quality and elegance. There is no cutting corners and the fish slices served are very proportional to all other ingredients, most notably rice. Coming here is a lot more of a show than just a dinner and Chef Hayakawa delivers.Being a still new establishment, there are a few things that can still be noted to continue improvement, or Kaizen as known in Japan. The fact that there is no private restroom to the restaurant is a major inconvenience, as the building's restrooms are already quite dirty, despite lack of many tenants. It could also be a good touch to leave guests with a parting gift bag with a small item or even a dessert. The shibori napkin was given for guests to keep, yet since it was used throughout dinner, walking around with a dirty napkin after dinner seems a bit odd. While I cannot comment on the aspect of tradition here, it would be nice to get a new clean shibori to keep alongside some desserts and leave the one from dinner to be washed.Putting continuous improvement ideas aside, Hayakawa is already a remarkable place, has an incredibly unique vibe of being in Chef's home and creates an fun dining experience that sets an incredibly high standard."
"Great intimate place for lunch or dinner. Fresh food and i am a fan of the peach green tea. Our servers are always friendly and great."
"Certain items were okay while other choices were better. The ramen we chose (iekei ramen) was so so. We figured since the original recipe came from Yokohama, Japan that it would be interesting to try. It's a mixture of tonkotsu and shoyu soup which turned out to be a tad salty imo. It overall wasn't bad nor good. Just so so.White tiger roll: This spicy tuna and eel roll was pretty tasty. There definitely was a slight kick in spice. Overall a pleasant roll that's not too crazy in ingredients nor taste. On the bayou roll: This was really different and tasty. The deep fried crayfish was definitely interesting. The little crayfish provided a nice crunch in texture with the spicy tuna. Although this roll appears to be crazy, it was a rather mellow. You pretty much taste the crayfish in all its dough glory.I would definitely come to Yokohama sushi again and try their abundant menu. There was a great deal of people around dinner time on a Friday evening so popularity at this place wasn't lacking by any means."
