"I popped in on a Saturday morning since I was in the area. I have always loved Revolution-I have had their doughnuts at several festivals in the area but never had a chance to stop by their storefront. Since it was a Saturday morning, the line was out the door(!) but moved quickly. The employees were friendly and spoke with a smile. Imagine my surprise when they had a brunch doughnut (which worked for me because I had not had breakfast that morning. I also indulged in a chocolate hazelnut almond flour doughnut which was surprisingly delicious! I don't know why I was surprised because I don't think I've had a bad doughnut from this place.Hopefully I'll get another chance to stop by and linger next time. There are a few seats on the inside for you to sit and enjoy your treat if you wish, or just take a stroll outside. Either way I'm sure I'll be back soon!"
"NICE CREAM! A black owned ice cream shop right down the road from GSU. The whole street is what we like to call "resturant row" there is so many options all walking distance from one another. I promised my partner I would buy him ice cream and we decided on this business as it was fairly close to our hotel. Once we came inside we were told about their donut ice cream sandwich. Though that sounded delicious it also sounded like a LOT of food. We each got a scoop. My partner got praline and I got the Cuban coffee ice cream. We each got a different topping on top too. Don't get me wrong it was a good spot with flavorful cream. However, there was no seating inside. This is a need especially since a lot of tourists come around this area for food. I wasn't super impressed by this ice cream experience."
"Unusually, I did not research this place much in advance, and it was the sort of place that takes a bit to wrap your head around, because they offer so much. A bakery and an ethnically diverse cafe menu left me spoiled for choice. I ended up settling for both a salad and a donut. By the time you consider the soft cheese on top of the salad, the roasted potato side, and the cream-filled donut, it was a pretty indulgent breakfast. The donut was rich and not overly sweet, allowing the hazelnut flavor to shine through. What really sold me was the dressing that came with the salad, a sweet and spicy mix that I've had some version of before but could not place. The potatoes were delicious too, and the London Fog, which the young staff working there announced they would learn how to make, came out fine.Other menu options ranged widely. I think most dietary needs could be accommodated, and most palates could be excited, by a shop that clearly is a product of some considerable thought."
"And the first post for Roli's Bites of the Week goes to... @revolutiondoughnuts in Decatur! I'll drive the distance for these things... I don't care Their DARK CHOCOLATE DONUT (yeast) is the winner in my book. These donuts are special and a favorite of mine, I know they'll be yours too!! Check them out and let me know what you think!! In the box: Crunchy Mister, Chai Tea, Vanilla Bean, another Crunchy Mister, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Dark Chocolate#Rolieats #rolisbitesoftheweek #donutweek #revolutiondoughnuts #darkchocolate #myfavorite #decatur"
"Gluten agrees with me but Hell Yea is just a really f*cking good bakery. All their stuff is gluten free and they also have some stuff that's dairy free and others that are vegan. They're clearly labeled. I definitely recommend going early because they do run out of stuff and the line can be pretty long. However, it is worth it!I got the following:1.) vegan curry turnover Delicious. Tastes kinda like a samosa. 10/10 would get again 2.) blueberry cream cheese Danish Good sh*t3.) earl grey sconeThe consistency is spot on for the scone and the earl grey taste is in the icing. Very yummy"
"I've only had Hell Yeah one time and from the other location in Inman Park. That was a while ago, but from what I understand, they are still really prone to selling out and it's best to order ahead online.I had planned to meet a friend who's gluten-free for breakfast on a Saturday morning at 9 am, and I thought we should probably order ahead when they open at 8. Their online ordering didn't open until maybe closer to 8:30 (it said it would open when they opened at 8), so that was a little frustrating to have to keep refreshing the page. But it did end up opening and we were able to place our orders. When we got there at 9:15, there was not a line and it seemed like they had plenty of inventory, but not sure if it was just a weird day?I had cookies and cream doughnut, and and oatmeal cream pie, and both were heavenly! My friend had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and said that it was amazing. You order inside, and they have two tiny tables out front, but there's no other seating besides that. So it's more of a take away type place!"
"There isn't anything subliminal about this establishment... the smells of sugary greatness are vented to the outside of the building and you can smell it in the air for several blocks. There is no neon flashing sign needed- it beckons you in immediately. Our server was very helpful and answered our questions with detail. She helped us chose 6 different donuts to go. We were thrilled with the flavors and freshness!"
"On the recommendation of a running bud, I came here to try their Apple Fritters, and also ordered a BLT sandwich. Not much to speak of from the interior, but the service by two Vietnamese mom and pops was splendid. The apple fritter was definitely caked in glazing and a fried on the darker side of the burn spectrum. Also got some cinnamon donuts and they were also good. The BLT on wheat hit the spot. Good experience!"
"A ton of delicious donut shops are popping up in Atlanta but Hero is definitely my HERO. When Hero moved into Summerhill, I was skeptical about a donut chain coming into Atlanta - and boy was I wrong. I love a soft brioche donut and Hero Doughnuts are definitely soft and fluffy. Grab a kolache (jalapeño is my fave!) or a homewood donut (strawberries and creme is a classic combo). Parking is available in the back and on the street, but there's also plenty of free public parking all around Summerhill. PRO TIP #1: cinnamon rolls are only available on Saturdays, so get them before they sell out! PRO TIP #2: they've got mimosas and aperol spritzes for $7 on the menu on weekends which is the perfect way to start the day with a donut. Can't wait to stop in again for more brioche donuts and brunch cocktails soon!"
"Best donut shop in Atlanta! We were visiting from out of town and stopped in one morning to grab a few donuts to try. We ordered a brown butter salt, whipped lemon ricotta, and a salted caramel chocolate chip cronut. All of them were absolutely delicious."

My kids were able to find their favorite flavors and seemed happy with their treats BUT...I did not go into the business. The closest parking was a block away and before I was fully parked, a guy rode over to my vehicle on a scooter and started telling me how terrible this parking lot was and pointed out the two other vehicles already booted. Scooter man proceeded to ask me if I ever help out the homeless and asked for cash, and had a hard time accepting my no answer. Across the street from the public parking lot is John Calhoun Park. I noticed numerous homeless sleeping in the shade and another covered in a wheelchair next to the street. My initial thought was to find another ice cream option because I didn't feel comfortable leaving my vehicle and walking a couple blocks over to Sweet Stacks. My daughters (ages 6 & 7) had been drinking lots of water because it was a hot day and had to pee really bad. I circled the block and let the girls out, my oldest was able to handle payment. To our dismay, the bathrooms at Sweet Stack are for employees only. My idea of a fun treat was very underwhelming. Sweet Stack might be more of a locals only shop.

Cafe Rivkah is very quaint and homely...You will feel the joy from not only the staff but the ambiance. Patricia and Biti are very warm lovely ladies. What a great way to start my morning! Their menu seems to be a bit of middle eastern flair mixed with American breakfast and lunch items. Even some indian and swiss ingredients Ranging from 5.99- $13.99. They also have delicious bakery items such as glazed donuts, breads, croissants, cheese Danish, cakes. You may see chicken pesto sandwich then also see falafel and hummus wrap. Then suddenly see a Lebanese style breakfast plate. There is a breakfast bowl and it's also then served with paneer. But youll also have awesome fruit topped challah french toast.on their lunch side, they also have beef kafta and rice. The menu could be more organized in categories like "American breakfast" to "Mediterranean style" but that's super minor. I had a very interesting twist to the traditional Benedict. When ordering this you may have it with smoked salmon or bacon..for extra charge you can have it over English muffin or also have gluten free option with potato rosti. Rosti is a traditional Swiss dish of grated potato that is rolled into a small flat cake and fried. It's different from hasbrowns in that it's not sautéed and typically already cooked. Rosti is more like a potato pancake. My only suggestion is give just a tad big more hollandaise sauce. Everything else was seasoned just right and look forward to trying every item. I also had the green matcha latte which can be either overpower or underpowered. It has a very good balance in the beverage. After you're done please put plates on top of trash.I'm always trying to find a better routine including places to eat at. Definitely will come back as my morning joint and a new place to just catch up with a friend. Highly recommend this place!

Loved these vegan donuts. You can definitely tell that they are vegan, because they don't quite scratch the familiar donut itch but are nonetheless terrific. The reason why is bc you don't feel disgusting after eating one, you just feel good and donut filled. They have a ton of different flavors that rotate out monthly, good and bad if they rotate out your favorite. The coffees here are great!

I am in love with the place! We got the vegan breakfast biscuit and the sausage cheese and egg biscuit. They were both amazing. I haven't had a biscuit in over a decade, and this one was so amazing I went back get another to take back to Boston. The vegan meat was good and my boyfriend enjoyed the sausage egg and cheese biscuit although he wasn't a huge fan of the egg. The funfetti donut and the double chocolate donuts were both really good, moist and tasted fresh. The spot isn't far from downtown, so I plan to come each time I visit Atlanta. The staff were kind and helpful. I highly recommend for the gluten free crowd!

HYGF, you have wayyyyy surpassed my expectations!!! Still daydreaming about Saturday's breakfast. HYGF has been on my radar for some time now - I follow their account on IG and they do a superb marketing job, so I knew it was only a matter of time. I've been craving a breakfast sandwich now more than ever and my boyfriend and I placed an order online for pickup at their Decatur location. We ordered 2 sausage, egg and cheese biscuits, a funfetti donut and a cheddar chive biscuit.Ok WAOW, the food was excellent. We ate the sausage biscuits in complete silence in the parking lot. That's how good they were. I still can't believe the texture of every item - this is the first biscuit I've eaten since gf that tasted like a regular biscuit, if not better. The donut was light, airy and fluffy. I am contemplating making the drive right now as I type this review.Inside was colorful, fun, vibrant and overall a vibe! In addition to delicious baked goods, they sell apparel, stickers, and tons more fun decorative items. I learned this location has been here since January 2024. This place is a gem, especially for us sensitive tummy folks. I will be back again, and again, and again. Thank you HYGF for answering our prayers!

Who doesn't love an old fashioned donut with a modern twist? Donnie's Donut feels newish for the area but resturants and shops come and go some often it's hard to keep up. Came for coffee left with donuts. Picked up the Purple Palmer (hibiscus tea) and a Caramel Latte. The oat milk in the latte was so creamy I questioned was it dairy free. The donut flavors are fun..picked up a lemon blueberry, southrenbelle, and strawberry shortcake. It was cool to watch the staff actively ice and garnish each donut. Super friendly staff. The staff was helpful, patient, and answered every question I had. Where are the beans from, how'd you make it, what's in the icing, what's your favorite, what's your blood type (joking) but they probably would have answered. Street parking and very close to the beltline and freedom Parkway. Grabbing a biscuit at Bomb Biscuit and finishing with "something sweet" from Donnie's Donuts is an amazing way to kickoff a beltline adventure.

I haven't come back for the subs, but will. So, in the name of science, I ate three donuts in my first sitting at this little shop, out of the half dozen (and a very regular coffee) I bought.Bavarian Cream - a good example, fairly standard, maybe the bread-y part was a bit sweeter than usual. Kind of King's Hawaiian level. The cream was rich, not overpowering. Solid. A few notches above what you'd get at Dunkin, but not terribly memorable.Sour Cream - I actually like when a sour cream donut is a bit more dense than this one, which crumbled a bit, and didn't hold together. It was uncomplicated, good, not great.Cream Cheese - now *this* changed my opinion entirely, at least in terms of my assessment of the place as a whole from a nice local spot to somewhere worthy of a drive. The bread/cake portion had great consistency and the filling had a wonderful consistency and a rich filling that had perfect mouth feel and a complex, but appropriately sweet, taste. The cream cheese donut alone justifies a decent drive to check this place out.Other people ordered Honey Dip donuts, which seem to be glazed - I have one in the half dozen box, but my daughter will probably eat it when I get home. Apple Fritters, etc. I'm sure are all good, but if there are more things on the level of the cream cheese donut, this is a real hidden gem.As noted, I'll come back for the subs, another time.I saw a steady, but not overwhelming, stream of customers on this overcast/drizzly Saturday.[update:]I came again to buy another half dozen for someone who I forgot was gluten intolerant - so I got to eat most of these yet again. In this case, I showed up late-ish, for donuts, 11 AM, and most of the options were gone. As a result, I tried 3 new kinds.I had the chocolate covered sour cream, which actually turned out to be an excellent version of a sour cream donut, so I think the one from the prior day was the exception rather than the rule. There was the solid chocolate, which had a nice sugar crusted outer layer and a tasty inside, but I will say it wasn't as chocolatey as I expected. More like a red velvet cake.I had the plain donut, as well. This can be the real test of a bakery, because there's nothing beyond the baking itself, and this was probably the best I've had - though I don't often go for them, to be honest. Also, and I'm not sure of the name, there's another pastry that was in there, which was very good. Hard to go wrong here.Still haven't had the subs. My daughter didn't save me a bite of the honey glazed even though I asked her to.[second update:]I have had the honey dip at this point, and it was good. Not hot glazed Krispy Kreme level, but very good for a non-hot glazed.I also managed to try a Philly cheesesteak sub, which was decent but not special. I'm not changing my rating, because the donuts are that good, but that's the attraction, here.

"Donut worry, bee happy Atlantans.. We finally have mochi donuts! After much anticipation, Mochibees finally opened their first location less than a month ago. Shortly after, they opened a second inside HMart in Doraville. Both locations have been selling out everyday since and for good reason. The Duluth location often sold out within hours.Lucky for me, I found myself near Doraville one Saturday afternoon. To my surprise, they weren't sold out yet and there wasn't a long line. I quickly ordered a half dozen, one of each flavor. A half dozen is $15 before tax. The staff was very friendly. The flavors change daily and there's usually 6 different ones. At the time of my visit, they offered original, chocolate, fruity pebbles, salted caramel pretzel, cookies & cream, and matcha oreo. I exercised a lot of self control and didn't take a single bite until I got home. I couldn't open the box fast enough when I walked in the house. The mochi dough is perfectly chewy with a slight crunch on the outside. The flavors are subtle and complement the fried dough. My favorites were the cookies & cream and matcha oreo. They're so light and before you know it, you've already eaten an entire box. Kidding. I shared, but they were gone within minutes. My only regret is not ordering two boxes!"
"We went to Ray's Donuts at 11:45 am on a Monday. They had most of the donuts available, but they were running out - even on a Monday! So get there early! The person working was so sweet and patient! We ordered a half dozen, but she gave us one for free! She was wearing a mask, but masks are not required for customers. It's SO cheap! We got 6 donuts (plus the one for free) for $6.47!Here's what we got, in order of preference:- Cinnamon Sugar: Soo good. Perfection.- Blueberry Fritter: Very good!!- Glazed: Quality original donut!- Sour Cream: The one we got might've been a little overdone, burnt even, but I still liked the taste of it!- Boston Cream: The filling was good and I normally don't like filled donuts that much.- Chocolate Sprinkle: I didn't like the chocolate icing on top. Wouldn't recommend.- Strawberry Cake: Tasted very processed. Wouldn't recommend. Maybe the Blueberry Cake might've been better, but we didn't want to get two blueberry donuts.I definitely recommend Ray's Donuts! There are multiple locations, so find the one closest to you!"
"YOU DRIVE ME GLAZY! Salty Donut, a pretty popular donut shop across the south/south west. Though it is a chain they are particular about the cities/states where their shops open. My partner and I will TRAVEL to a shop if needed. If that alone does not prove how good their donuts are then I don't know what will. We first were introduced to Salty down in Miami. But now as we've moved from FL we don't get to treat ourselves to these sweet treats as often as before. The first thing you need to know about The Salty is if you plan on going you need to arrive when they first open their doors. This is when you will get the best options. If you go later in the day there will not be much left. When we came into the Buckhead location we walked in and they only had one tray of donuts left. No matter what donut you get they will always be super sweet and super delicious. So if you want options then get there early, but if you don't care, then go whenever and there will be at lease one option. Service was quick and super easy. The donut they had on this occasion was the Cookie Monster donut. Which had a blue glaze. Cookie topping and filled with a cookies and cream style cream. I loved my experience here and definitely recommend stopping in for a sweet treat. Everyone needs a #treatyourself type day."
"Came here for some coffee and doughnuts. This venue is not on the main road and it looks closed at night but it is definitely open since it is a 24/7 establishment. They have a dim lit sign that shows they are open.I ordered the Fresh strawberries and cream doughnut, nutella doughnut, and oreo doughnut. The strawberries was the best donut and actually had fresh strawberries in it. The Oreo has plenty of oreo crumbles but is not spectacular. The nutella tastes great but will take all the moisture out your mouth. The doughnuts are decent and it did the job.The staff was kool and fast with service."
"If you're near the city of Atlanta, this charming cafe is a great spot for you to check out, especially for those looking for a cozy ambiance paired with delicious treats. The moment you open the door, you're gonna be invited by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sight of mouthwatering baked goods. The star of the show is undoubtedly Providence, the talented barista who makes some amazing beverages. I had the pleasure of trying her two favorites - the velvety smooth vanilla ice latte and the refreshing matcha latte, both of which left me craving for more- especially the vanilla ice latte. Now, let's talk about those donuts. With a variety of flavors to choose from, I indulged in six heavenly creations, but the strawberry shortcake stole the show. Its delicate balance of sweetness and tanginess and hints of lemon zest, left my taste buds dancing with delight. They offer parking validation for up to an hour at the adjacent garage, along with ample street parking options. Whether you prefer to cozy up indoors or bask in the sunshine on the patio, there's plenty of seating to accommodate all preferences."
"Sublime donuts are a must get every time I'm on this part of town. They're it your typical glazed donuts with sprinkles - these are the real deal. The 3 flavors I always get are peach fritter, strawberries and cream, and Reese's peanut butter cups. The donuts have a nice chew and not too sweet for my liking. But of these 3, my absolute fave is the Reese's peanut butter cup. The middle of the donut has the peanut butter filling and glazed with chocolate, topped with pieces of peanut butter cup. They have some seating inside. They also offer coffee and have a fridge with water, milk and juice. Their donut price ranges from $2.50-$2.75 I believe. Best part about this place? It's open 24 hours. Get a donut craving at 4 am? Need a little pick me up after working late or while studying? Sublime is the spot."
"Best blueberry donut I think I've ever had!! So fluffy and really tastes like blueberry. The croissant sandwich is giving McDonald's vibes. It's missing some butter or hot sauce- something. The maple curler donut was good but we came at 11am so it wasn't as fresh. The jalapeño kalache isn't spicy. The bread is to die for! Kinda sweet but has a strong crust with a fluffy inside. I would definitely come back earlier."
"Popped over here as we had satisfied our savory taste buds. I got their cookies n cream donut which was soft, chewy and sweet enough. Staff was nice and packaging was pretty straight forward. Would order from here again."
"I made the decision to only eat donuts that were worth it, and these are definitely worth it. Super fresh and yummy. Large selection. Fair prices."
"These "artisan cupcakes" have to be hands down the best cupcakes I had in Atlanta. So moist and decadent. It's not too sweet, but very pungent with flavor. I started off with the carrot cake, and my taste buds were revenging for more, so I tried the key lime next, and I was enthralled. Have you ever taken a bite of something so delectable you stopped and had to just look at it for a minute like WTH?! Eye balling my next little victim, I had to give it a rest because my waist line wouldn't allow it. Cupcakin has a variety of different flavors that I don't normally see at other bake shops in the metro area. This black owned shop is by of Berkeley California and landed in Colony Square in Midtown. Move over, Camicakes, there's a new kid on the block. In the words of Teddy P. " I think I better let it go. It looks like another cupcake TKO. LOL...Highly Highly Highly recommend when in Colony Square. You're welcome!"
"When I came across this little spot, I was immediately drawn in by the vibes and amazing looking donuts in the display. By the time I got to the front of the short line, I had my eyes on nearly a dozen donuts. Just by looking at them, I didn't know some of them were cronuts until I brought the box back to my table of friends, one of whom said, "They do cronuts very well!" I became skeptical because I'm not a fan of cronuts.... THESE, however, totally blew me away! They were fluffy and flavors were well balanced. I'm completely addicted to them. I also love that they offer vegan and gluten-free options."
"I am normally not a cake donut fan, but these round treats worked for me. The shop is locate din a small strip mall with an ample amount of parking available. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. There donuts are a bit smaller than the average sized donuts that you are use to. They have a bunch of exotic flavors to choose from including Maple Bacon, Cinnamon Roll, French Toast, Strawberry Shortcake, Fruity Pebble, M&M, Birthday Cake and Caramel Crunch. The shop has a few tables and chairs to sit and dine. It is a very clean and tidy shop, but I took my treats to go. I got a dozen for me and my crew. The donuts were fresh and very tasty. I really liked them and remember, this is coming from a yeast donut guy. I recommend giving this place a try. They have some very unique donut creations that happen to be very tasty. I do not know how I feel about their size though. On one hand them being small may help me from eating too much. But on the other hand I just end up eating more of teh donuts to make up for them being a smaller serving. Oh well, there could be worse problems to have ai guess."
"My hotel was just across the street, so I decided to stop in for some doughnuts on my last day. I had the Purist doughnut, but the vegan version and it tasted just like a regular ole doughnut - which is a compliment, I promise. I didn't taste the difference between this doughnut and a regular, non-vegan one so kudos to them! I also had the Blueberry and Lemon, which was filled with a deliciously tart curd filling. Staff was very nice and helpful when I had questions."
"I have driven by Duck Donuts many times and have always wanted to stop in. I finally stopped in last week with my friend after eating lunch. The donuts are made to order, which is really cool. You can watch them fry your donuts and then decorate them. They have a huge menu with so many different flavors and toppings, and you can also customize your own doughnut icing & toppings. The base donut is vanilla cake.My friend and I shared a box of 6 donuts in the following flavors:- lemon icing with strawberry drizzle- blueberry pancake- cookies and cream- maple bacon- cinnamon bun- chocolate icing with sprinklesMy favorites were the first three, but they were all really tasty! They are really sweet and fun flavors, but I appreciate that they are a normal size donut, rather than an overly huge one."
