"My fav neighborhood spot for a quick meal & a cocktail. Food: Great Service: AwesomeAmbiance: Bar atmosphere after a few cocktails"
"I had a situation where I felt uncomfortable and unsafe due to the actions of another patron, and the staff immediately came to my aid and handled things professionally. For that reason alone, Ormsbys has gained me as a new regular and I'll always support them. I truly appreciate how everyone came together to help me and turn my crummy evening around.Oh yeah since I should mention food somehow, the hand-cut fries and dipping sauces made in-house were the perfect bar appetizer."

"Grant Park Social is my new favorite bar. It's sleek, laid back, and intimate. The bartenders are cool, very conversational and they know their bourbon. Our drinks of choice were the pumpkin spice old fashioned (which they just debuted last week along with a pumpkin spice espresso martini), Mexican Mule (if you've read enough of my reviews you know this one was mine), and a 2oz. pour of Woodford Reserve Batch Proof -- 2022 Limited Edition 118.4 proof). Per the bartender, they're the only bar in the Southeast with a barrel of the Woodford Reserve. They're partners with The Beverly next door, which comes in handy. If you're waiting for a table at the Beverly (which usually has a long wait during sporting events or on weekends when they have live music) you can pop in Grant Park Social to have a drink while you wait. If you're still drinking when your table is ready, they allow you to take it with you. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Friday. It was pretty empty at that point, but by the time we left there was a decent crowd, which doesn't take many because the place is small. There are about 12 seats at the bar, two high tables that seat four ppl each, and then one section that has two small couches. Four people could fit in that area comfortably. Overall: I'm glad I found this spot. It's definitely a place to go on a laid back night for a good drink and conversation, without all the extra."
"Newly reopened spot in five points. They have a good food menu and a huge drink menu. If you like beer, this is a great spot. We got the goat cheese fritters and the smash burger. The fritters were so good! It came with 5 so plenty to split. The smash burger was pretty good. It came with a lot of fries!"
"Definitely want to do a "do over" with this spot! I ordered the Chicken pizza and was not a huge fan of it, but the services was great- a bunch of super friendly people! The restaurant gives off a good vibe, very clean and welcoming. I will have to try something else the next time."
"Came here on their 3rd day open. The opening of this coffee shop has been much anticipated by the neighborhood, and it did not disappoint. The staff and owners are so nice, Wi-Fi is high-speed which, along with its ample seating options across about 10 tables, 2 counters with chairs, and a large sofa, make Peoples Town Coffee a great spot for remote work. The espresso drinks are equally as impressive. Highly recommend:-Cortado-Maple Latte (not overly sweet like at some places!)"
"If you're looking for the best martinis in town, VESPER IS IT. YOU MADE IT!!! My girlfriends had been raving about Vesper and we finally set a date for me to see what the hype was all about and I was not disappointed. They have some dog friendly outdoor seating, although in nice weather, it goes fast. There is plenty of room inside, but once peak hours hit, you'd be lucky to find a seat, let alone standing room. So get there earlier to ensure a table or seat!Espresso Martinis (on the menu as May Day) here are a MUST - I have been told I also need to come back and try their whiskey espresso martinis so I will leave that review pending for now. The Vesper Lynd is a classic bond inspired cocktail that is also my general drink of choice - and they do it right! I tried the molten lava chocolate cake on another visit to pair with my espresso martini and it was just ok. At least there was the inside was molten, but we found it to be a bit grainy and way too sweet. Will skip that one next time and stick to liquid calories LOL.I WILL be back for those whiskey espresso martinis ASAP. Although I've heard that tequila or rum espresso martinis are the new thing right now? I'll ask the bartender :)"
"Stopped by Brew and Bird for a quick lunch with coworkers. We enjoyed French fries for the table and most of us had a salad with chicken or one of their combo plates. The servers were lovely and everything was very affordable. Looks like it becomes a jazz lounge after work aa they have a bar and space toLounge with a DJ."
"This place has an awesome concept. You start a tab and they give you a wrist band connected to your tab. You can tap any of the drinks with your wristband and pour however much you want. I like being able to try lots of different drinks without having to commit to a full drink. I went around and tried lots of different drinks before deciding on a full glass of their vodka redbull."
"We have lived in the area for 24 years but just visited this restaurant that has been in business for 13 years. It was relatively busy at 7:30pm on a Friday night. Amy was our very attentive and friendly server. We enjoyed our house salad, Caesar salad, steak and snow crab, and salmon. All were well cooked, seasoned, and warm. As a heads up, they serve Mayo , cocktail sauce etc, in plastic containers or packages. The only improvement is that the decor was slightly outdated and perhaps cluttered."
"I'm a fan. I have never had anything here that was not good. I may not have cared for the preparation but I don't think I have ever had anything overcooked, undercooked, etc. They have decent sized menu that should satisfy a variety of cravings. I like the vagabond Sandwich, the turkey sandwich, the wings and the Cobb salad. Hubby likes the burgers, grilled cheese, turkey chili. Most of what we have tried over the years we enjoyed and again- if we didn't it just wasn't to our liking. Service is always good. Busy enough to people watch but not a crazy wait. Indoor and outdoor seating. Spacious. Decent lighting. Private lot parking. Access to walk the Beltline to walk off calories when you finish. What's not to like???! Go! I wish the sandwiches came with a side but it keeps you from eating more than you should I guess. I actually don't like their regular fries and I'm not willing to pay 6.00 for sweet potato fries BUT the last time I did the serving was huge so worth sharing.... I digress. Just go. And bring someone to split the side dishes."

My husband and I finally made it to this place we've been wanting to try, and boy, were we happy we did! We decided to have dinner there on a Monday night, and it was buzzing with a decent crowd. They even have parking in the back, although we lucked out since it was a slower night. I can't say for sure what it's like on weekends, though.Let me tell you, the vibe at this spot is right up my alley. I absolutely love places with a cozy ambiance, and this one nailed it with its charming string lights and outdoor seating. They've got a cool patio bar where you can choose to sit inside or outside, giving you the best of both worlds--a breath of fresh air and the convenience of ordering drinks and food right from the bar. It's a winner! Now, when it comes to drinks, they've got a solid selection of beers and lagers. As for our food, we decided to start with the fried pickles. Now, full disclosure, I'm not a huge pickle lover, but my hubby loves them. To be honest, the fried pickles were just okay. I guess you have to be a pickle fanatic to truly appreciate them. But let me tell you about the Vietnamese wings I ordered--they were absolutely bomb! Seriously, a solid 9 out of 10. Bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. My husband, on the other hand, went for the crunch wrap instead of taking my suggestion of trying the Chinese breakfast. Well, he ended up slightly disappointed with the crunch wrap and promised me that next time, he'll listen and go for the Chinese breakfast. We'll see about that! When it comes to prices, they were pretty decent. It wasn't dirt cheap, but it wasn't crazy expensive either. I'd say it falls in the middle, with two dollar signs on the menu. It's a fair deal considering the quality and overall experience. All in all, we had a fantastic time and we'll definitely be back. And if my husband doesn't give in to the temptation of that Chinese breakfast, you can bet I'll be the one enjoying it next time!

Ormsbys has always been a staple Georgia Tech bar, but I recently checked it out for dinner with a friend back in town. Parkingwise, you can find street parking or park in one of the decks either for Westside Provisions or Interlock. Inside, I usually go downstairs where there's a great bar with games like pool, darts, and backgammon. This time, we sat ourselves upstairs. Our waitress was quick to serve us and was also helpful with letting us know about substitutions. I had the Attila the Hen with a side of sauteed mushrooms. My chicken sandwich was really delicious, juicy, and I loved the flavored mayo! The mushrooms were also delicious. Overall, Ormsbys is always a solid choice!!

Absolutely love this spot. It's lowkey, laid back with excellent bartenders. It's a vibe for sure. Great for date night or kick back with a small group of friends. The cocktails are amazing, especially if you are a fan of whiskey and bourbons. This place isn't big at all so seating is limited. But they have great customer service. I first came here for a private sorority brunch. The owner allowed us to rent out the space, bring in catered food while he provided the drinks. It was a hit.

I was very excited about The Porter opening back up in L5P. As a neighbor, it is awesome to have a new dining option in the community, especially with Corner Tavern closed right now. Overall they have a great vibe, nice staff, and decent food. The issue I ran into is that it seems to have a bit of a split personality. We walked in and sat at the bar, where the dining room is not visible. The bar very much has a high-end cocktail bar vibe but is actually more of a taproom (which is fine - but doesn't look it!). I tried their stone fruit whiskey sour, which was very sweet so then tried a regular whiskey sour which was so bad I couldn't drink it. Again, the bartenders were very very nice, but definitely stick with the beer list, which is very extensive! Once we had the chance after dinner to walk back to the dining room everything clicked - it definitely looks like a pub back there! I wish we'd seen that before we ordered. Same goes for the food; our expectations were a bit too high with the vibe at the bar. We had the tuna melt and burger. The burger was EXCELLENT, but the tuna melt is described as a "confit tuna melt" and it was described as an elevated version. Its really just a tuna melt lol. We'll be back for sure but with the gastropub lens!

We recently tried MTH Pizza and had a mixed experience. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad. Starting with the salad--the dressing wasn't great; it just didn't hit the mark for us. However, the pizza was absolutely bomb! The flavor was spot-on, but just a heads up--it's a thin crust, which wasn't what we were expecting. If you're a fan of thin crust with great toppings, you'll love it. Overall, I'd go back for the pizza, but maybe skip the Caesar salad next time. The service was good & I can't complain. The music selection was blues which I enjoyed

Finally got to visit this coffee when I was on a walk with my husband and dogs. Easily accessible from the Beltline, which is perfect once this portion is paved. Tons of street parking and looks to have a private lot behind ad well. It is located at the bottom of an apartment building. It was plenty spacious and loved the bar area. They also serve wine, sandwiches in the afternoon. I ordered a 16 oz lavender latte ($6.75) with almond milk (forgot how much this was) plus 20% tip, which cost me $10. Yeah it's quite pricey but isn't everything else nowadays? Pick up was at the bar area outside. Overall, cool place and would love to actually enjoy the ambiance one of these days.

DO NOT come in for a couple pre-dinner drinks after walking 7 miles through ATL and not having anything to eat, not even a little snackie poo, since your small breakfast at 11am. Or do it, like we did, and enjoy an extra punch with your strong, very curated cocktail.Jokes aside, we came in just after opening, after a long day of walking. And let me tell ya, walking in was not only a reprieve from the humidity but the gentle, soft couches made for a nice place to relax after a long day. The cocktail menu/program is short but sweet, just how I like it, with a good variety of flavors and tastes. I can't remember the items I ordered (hahaha drunk after one sip) but I do know that they were well balanced and strong in all the right ways. We didn't order any food and that was a shame because it looked good but we wanted to save our appetites for dinner next door. If we weren't tired and fairly inebriated, we may have come back in after dinner to have another round and maybe play a game or two. If there is a next time, we for sure will come in for the amazing cocktails and incredible service.

Some of the best wings we've had, and they're pretty big too. We ordered an 8 piece hot honey mustard, and an 8 piece lemon pepper. We were only able to eat about half of them because they were so filling. Don't expect the regular lemon pepper shake-on seasoning here. They actually use fresh lemon juice one these! The lemon juice gives these wings an amazing flavor! The hot honey mustard wings were super good too. They have a kick, but it's not overwhelming, and they're not super sweet either. The heat and sweet are really well balanced. The owner was the only person working when we got there, and amazingly, he's able to cook, and serve! Not to mention he checks on each table, and is very cordial. He mentioned that the business is still coming back from the Covid disaster, so he works alone during the day and more staff comes in to help in the evening. He said they've been surviving mostly on take out orders and repeat customers. This place deserves to keep its doors open. If you're anywhere near here, and want some great wings, I recommend giving this place a try!

"I loved my visit to Sea Salt while in Atlanta! I almost wanted to chew my fingers off while eating the Shrimp Toast because it was covered in a JERK PESTO SAUCE that was soooooo good! The catfish was fried to perfection - it came with Turkey sausage and shrimp on top! The shrimp and grits and that came with fried okra on top! Eats: Shrimp ToastFried Green TomatoesSea Salt Catfish Shrimp and Grits Drinks:Salty MarleyThey have two locations and wont disappoint!."
"Oh it could have been good. Really poor service ruined a pretty good meal. The place is massive with huge open air sections when the weather is nice. Tons of beer and a full bar. Total party atmosphere. And plenty of dogs on the outside patio. The star of the show are the fries. Gotta a 5 Guys vibe which means they are awesome. A side order of fries on their own is a huge plate. Great! The grilled cheese on sour dough with caramelized onions was also fantastic. Look at that thing. The veggie plate with fries, sweet potato fries, buffalo cauliflower, onion rings, and spicy pickles were also pretty good. Buffalo needs work...more to say on this. And the "sweet and spicy" buffalo wings were neither sweet nor spicy. Don't get me wrong. The wings themselves were meaty and well cooked. The sauce was really really lacking. A hint of mild sauce for the wings and cauliflower. The problem we had was the service. No idea if they were short or what. Everything took forever even though it was maybe a third full at lunch. Next, 2 meals came out and she said the 3rd would be right out. Then she disappeared. Forever. So we asked the host and he tracked down the food but it was a bit cold by then. Never saw her again. Luckily the table had a pay by app feature so we did that to get out of there. No idea what the problem was but at the end of the day the service killed the experience. On a good service night, I would definitely recommend this place. But they need waaaaay better buffalo sauce and they need to ensure good service."
"Have had a great experience both times I've dined here for lunch! They have great lunch specials. I tried the Grilled Chicken Avocado Wrap as well as the Greek Salad Wrap. Both are amazing, and the standout was the Greek Salad Wrap. Their rosemary fries are also phenomenal. Friendly service and great ambiance right on the square."
"Upon arrival, at approximately 12:10 pm, the restaurant wasn't ready to seat anyone. We were then told by our server that they were out of a number of items on the menu. Seemed odd considering they just opened for the day.Food was hit and miss. I ordered the Jerk Salmon with mixed vegetables. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the jerk sauce was great. However, the mixed vegetables had no seasoning and the mashed sweet potato also had no seasoning."
"Food: 2Service:2Ambiance: 1000On Wednesday's my hubby and I try our bars that's we've never visited! The Frozen Goose was 2nd on our list! The bartender was nice and helpful! We ordered 2 frozen drinks, 20 wings : Truffle fries!! Boy oh boy! Our wings were soo good and the drinks were great! We will definitely be back!"
"I'd been looking forward to trying Mobay Spice for a while and decided to stop in for lunch recently. The restaurant is fairly "cozy" and has a few high tops outside. I ended up sitting at the bar.The bartender was very attentive. I browsed the menu prior to arriving and knew exactly what I wanted to order. I chose the rum punch for my beverage, mango habanero wings for an appetizer and oxtail with rice and peas for my entree. The rum punch was good and strong. The wings were ok, but I was expecting the flavors to be more bold. The oxtail platter was a generous portion, but lacked flavor and could've been more tender. The rice and peas were bland as well and the cabbage was ok.While I did enjoy my time here, I can't say that I would return because I can't justify the price. It was over $80 with tax and tip for myself and the lack of flavors just didn't warrant such high prices."
"Delicious, Cool, and DifferentIf you're in Atlanta, this is one of my favorite places to eat. I've planned entire family road trips around fitting in a way to get to this place. Quick counter service ordering but then they treat you like a sit down place for the food. Servers are quick to take care of you and keep people moving through. I've never been there late enough for the live music, but they specialize in the blues.Ribs were fall off the bone tender although not smoky. Had a sweet tomato based bbq sauce that was also good. The ribs here are Mississippi style. More grilled than smoked, so delicious. Tip: Brunswick Stew, get it!Best BBQ place in Atlanta, period. Add some cute dogs around and some interesting live music and we have a major hit. Rare 5 Star review for a reason, those RIBS!!! I want them right now. Thanks"
"We had another great meal here. This time we had the Paku and a margarita add cherry tomato, carmelized onion and mushroom. We had tiramisu (of course) and a pistachio cake thingy with a bottle of Vicus Irpinia "Falanghina""
"It's been years since I first visited the Optimist. I had a good experience and I'm not sure why it took me so long to return.I decided to return before a Yelp event nearby at Indiehouse. Valet was available. I was alone and sat at the bar. The staff acknowledged me immediately and brought out a complimentary roll that was mouthwatering. I started with the windjammer cocktail. It was bourbon based and contained flavors of passion fruit and macadamia. It was delicious! For an appetizer, I ordered the shrimp a la plancha. This is one of the best appetizers I've had in a while. It's shrimp in the most delicious cream sauce and comes with "sopping" toast. For my entree I got the redfish and side of basmati fried rice. The flavors were outstanding and I enjoyed everything. All of the staff that I encountered were amazing and the food was excellent. I am looking forward to returning soon."
"Great place to checkout for some cool local brews. A locally owned micro brewery located in Downtown Tucker, GA. Serving beers along with small batch unique experimental. This is the same place as Blue Tarp Brewing. Actually they share the venue. Good people, good beer and good music. Alan and Tom, the co-owners of the space, are top-notch laid-back guys. They are also great brewers. Between High Card and Blue Tarp, there is something for everybody. Plenty of inventive styles and flavors, without the try hard vibe you may experience at other places.Bartender was really nice and friendly, and we felt welcomed. I loved the Key Lime IPA and also the White Queen which has one of the best tastes with a slightly spicy kick of habanero. Pricing is almost the same as any other breweries. This place is very casual and relaxed atmosphere, dog friendly, kid friendly, host music shows, art markets, and let girl scouts sell their cookies. There is plenty of free street parking available in front of the brewery. Definitely the place to go for great craft Brews, live music and all sorts of funky, inclusive, fun events. Can't get much more welcoming. I'm looking forward to going back soon."
"To me this joint has no weak spots. The last time I was there was for an event, and we rented the whole joint out. It has upstairs and downstairs (upstairs where the bar is and downstairs is where the beer is) so you have room to move around. Also, is an area for being outside if you wanted to get some air or smoke a cigar or something like that. They have heat lamps so if its too cold, you dont need to freeze to death too.As an FYI, there is street parking, and there are a couple of lots around the area as well. Depending on the day, those lots could cost you so just be aware. They have a nice sized bar selection upstairs and it has seats too so if you wanted to sit down at a table instead of a bar, then that would be okay. There is even a couch or two up there as well if you wanted to lounge. All the bartenders were super cool and gave us a lot of smiles and respect.'The downstairs has the beer bar where you get your beer taps, they have multiple brands to pick from (several are homegrown internal brands). They have a huge dance floor type area, if you wanted some room, and a DJ stage area, so if you needed to move and shake, this would have no problem accommodating you. The do not have food, but I have been where they call in some food vendors to handle that issue (it probably depends on the day and time) but there are areas around there to eat at if you were hungry.Overall if you enjoy beer, this is a good black owned spot to visit."
"A fun gastropub with (at least currently) a Harry Poetter theme going on which is fun, too. I came here because I was late getting into Marietta after the Atlanta United vs Montreal soccer match and not too many places on a Wednesday night were still open for dinner--but Two Birds was. The food selection is not vast, but seemed to have enough tried and true options (burgers, pizzas, salads) to please most everyone. I had a salad with grilled chicken added and it was quite good--not fancy, not especially innovative, pretty much exactly as expected but quality ingredients and came out quickly. I didn't try any beer or other drinks, just water, so can't speak to that but good service, good, food, and cool place."
"I had good service and good food on my visit. Presentation was better the second time around. The place was not busy and I was able to immediately grab a seat at the bar. Bartender was serving multiple tables but they were able to get to me quickly.I ordered the Frozen Texas Margarita which was stronger than I expected (in a good way). You can tell they added an extra shot of peach schnapps. Tasted sweet. Bartender asked if I wanted a rim of salt or sugar.I ordered the Taco Tuesday. It is 2 beef tacos, 2 chicken tacos, and 2 chorizo tacos. There was a lot of food but the taste was lacking. It definitely needed the salsa."
"I stopped by Luda's Chicken and Beer while I was in the ATL airport waiting on my flight to Dallas. The brother Rodney that greeted me was very friendly (1st impressions are everything). I wasn't hungry so I decided to try the Pinot Gris which if you know anything about wine, is made from the same type of grapes as Pinot Grigio, but the grapes come from a different parts of the world. Anyways.... Back to my review on the establishment. LolI cant speak on the food, as I didn't have an appetite, but the service was great & each table has its own outlet for charging devices. The food that I saw in neighboring tables looked delicious, but you'll just have to check it out and see for yourself. Ask for "Rodney," if you want superb service."
"Really loved the tonkatsu ramen here !! The service wasReally lovely and they were very quick with my order coming out. The tempura shrimp was big juicy shrimp. Loved that appetizer!! Ramen was a nice sized portion and also the summer cold udon. So delicious !! The decorations and murals on the walls were really nice too. I'd love to come back here"
"Sure, some might say drinking on the rooftop is a special experience. Others might prefer a dive bar with pool tables. Yet, how often does someone brag about drinking at a garden shop?Burle's Bar is here to fill a niche that nobody even thought existed. Surrounded by gorgeous plants, appointed with immaculate top end furniture and having a quaint terrace with heat lamps, Burle's Bar might just hit the dream bar mark for many. It's a beautiful, intimate space that is easily accessible from the Beltline that specializes in cocktails, but also offers a couple remarkable beers on draft for those who prefer reduced headaches the next day. Owned by Cary Smith and Libby Hockenberry, the bar is named after Brazilian landscape architect and artist Roberto Burle Marx. It's a place to admire beautiful interlock of nature and intriguing design, while getting a much needed dose of in-glass happiness. Subsequently, all that joy will likely result in splurging on some rare plants downstairs. And that, with little doubt, may just be the most entertaining shopping experience for lovers of all things green."
"Cool spot, have been meaning to try this place for awhile! Basically Asian fusion cuisine meets brewery! Parking can be a PITA but well worth the walk. It's a tight squeeze in their main lot so I'd go to one of the others. Decent space indoors and a nice outdoor area.I ordered two flights and really like the variety here. The Thai spaghetti with tofu was really good and was not expecting that to go so well with the beer. The Identity Crisis beer was pretty close to a Budweiser/coors light mix, and enjoyable. My fav was the Wit Jammin. No complaints on this trip! Love when a brewery serves up great food and has a good variety of decent tasting beer. Apparently the word is out bc this place was pretty busy for a Friday lunch!"
