"look i knew exactly what i was getting myself into when I saw that young man breading that chicken breast and it had a little reddish orange look to it. LOL IYKYK i am a country boy and my grandma would put that Lawrys (Laaaawwwwrrryyya) and Sazon on everything fried. It would have that same color to it. Biscuits are made fresh fluffy and melt in your mouth. I always get the potatoes but the grits are amazing. Very affordable and the extra star is they serve coffee from a local coffee shop nearby REV. You should go by and get some amazing coffee. As small business owners we have to support each other and keep finding ways to keep your community happy and thriving."

"I finally made it to Southern Bistro! This local Bistro is the best of feeling like a comfortable, local gem for anyone with the addition of truly delicious food and good service. I went for dinner and enjoyed the bread rolls and fried green tomatoes to start. Yum! The bread was warm and yeasty and green tomatoes came with goat cheese and delicious toppings. For dinner I enjoyed the duck and sweet potato gratin(so rich) and my date had steak frites. We finished our plates. The weekends in particular get busy so you'll want to make a reservation. The parking lot has ample space! Prices are great for the quality."

"My friends and I came here before attending a festival 7 min walk away. A lot of people had the same thought process as it was already almost at max capacity by the time we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. We got to share their large pretzel and sweet potato fries. The pretzel was huge, fluffy and chewy. My pretzel craving was satisfied especially with the queso dip. Fries were crisp, sweet, and salty! For entrees we tried their Carnitas tacos, Chicken Cesar salad, Angus burger, and Lamb burger. Everyone was happy with their choices since everything was prepared and seasoned well. The tacos I had were only two but they were pretty jam packed. Overall, we had a good experience. Service was slow but that was because they were very busy and barely staffed. Would come again if in the area!"

We just stayed away from J Chris because the reviews were all pretty terrible.One random Saturday I went in on a whim to get us some to go breakfast and we were both pleasantly surprised! I walked away ordering the following two breakfast meals:Route 66 ($10.59)Pantry Feast ($9.79)Coffee x 2 Starting with my breakfast, the Pantry feast came with eggs my way, bacon strips, grits or oven roasted potatoes (I chose grits with cheese) and at least one blueberry crunch cake. So I had no idea what the crunch cake was, and thought it would be something cobblery. Instead it was basically a multi grain pancake. I enjoyed the flavor of it and it was very filling, though if you want you can add another for $2.20. The eggs were scrambled, and were decent, and the bacon was delicious. Grits were pretty good also!The Route 66 is a corned beef hash and oven roasted potatoes dish covered with sunny side up eggs. There's a choice of either an English muffin or a biscuit. We got the biscuit, and my girlfriend mentioned it was one of the better biscuits she's had in a while. She enjoyed every part of the dish but complained only about the portions being too much. She turned this into breakfast and lunch!I enjoyed the interior of J Christopher's. The bar with chairs had a stone finish, with wooden floors, bright lighting and a nice clean look to it. There's a staircase that leads to upstairs seating, although this day I didn't make my way up the stairs.Parking is very limited at the front of J Christopher's, with only about 3 or 4 shared parking spots, however there's more spots on the side of the building that you shouldn't have a problem getting your car in.Staff was friendly, helpful, and were happy to help me in any way. Oh yeah, don't forget to check into yelp to get your 20% off deal for first time customers!I'm a fan, and since this review we already went back for breakfast a second time (photos attached!) I'm definitely a fan!"

There are signs clearly posted regarding wait times, so no surprise and did not mind as I was getting car repairs done across the street.My mechanic at Crystal Auto Repair vouched for the food at Dametri's and he told no lies! My flounder sandwich with sides of green beans and french fries were prepared to order, which was reason for the wait. I would've liked a bit more seasoning on my fish and green beans, and may mention next time when I return.Dining area is a decent size as did not see anyone waiting for tables. Will say that there were several to go orders including mine, and we had a section allotted for the wait. The motif had lots of roosters in all forms, and there were menu posted inside and out. Specials were listed on board near order area. Also good amount of parking available.Demitri's offer lunch (& possibly dinner) options as well as all day breakfast. Everything I saw looked delicious, and will definitely be back to sample the other options. There were local and Marta police cars when I passed by en route to mechanic, and noticed a mix of patrons. "This is a super-popular bakery amongst Koreans in Duluth...probably since it's more Korean than American/European in style. Also, like most Mozart bakeries, this bakery is run by Korean ladies. During my visit, I noticed that there wasn't a single non-Korean in the bakery (and it was fairly full!).The bakery selection is the typical of many Korean/Asian bakeries...a HUGE selection of French-inspired pastry items. However, the decor is much more exotic...somewhat retro? Though somewhat aesthetically appealing on one hand, I didn't like how the place was hard to maneuver around...lotsa tight quarters. Also, I thought the place needed some music. I just remember hearing lotsa people speaking Korean (though in hushed tones)!I ended up trying 2 teeny-tiny mini pastries, with this Black Taro Milk Tea with Boba. As expected, everything was DEE-Lish!Did I mention that I'm addicted to Duluth for their heavenly Asian bakeries, just as much as the Asian restaurants??"

"With our flight home to NJ canceled, my wife and I had a night to spend in Atlanta. What to do? Find a nice restaurant for dinner! My wife gets credit for finding Murphy's. The restaurant is located in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood. If we ever relocate to Atlanta, this fantastic town is where we'll be moving to! The restaurant has been here since 1980. It's a restaurant, but also a bakery. On a quiet Monday night, it was very relaxing. We started out with glasses of wine and the Burrata appetizer. The burrata was so creamy and the pieces of rhubarb its served with was really tasty. For entrees, my wife had the Georgia Shrimp Roll and I had the Guinness Braised Brisket. We both thought they were very good, I really liked the Brisket. Desserts were very tempting and we ordered the Bonzo. This was a brownie, cheesecake, and chocolate mousse slice. Delicious!The area is very busy, but there's valet parking across the street. Nice and easy! This restaurant was a great find!"

"It's in kind of a warehouse district looking area, but this little place clearly was not hidden from the locals who were streaming in. A splendid spread of baked goods awaited, but I was surprised how many of them were vegan. I sampled what was described as a chocolate raspberry mousse cake, bearing in mind that mousse is a very non-vegan foodstuff. The rich flavor and smooth texture did little to disappoint, and if it was coconut or something like that there wasn't any strange or off taste to dissuade me from wolfing that thing down. The average diner may just ignore the labeling as to what is and what is not vegan, but those with particular dietary preferences or allergies will be quite satisfied if what I got is any indication."

"Tortuga y Chango is such a gem! I've been meaning to get here for a while and finally had a chance to visit. It's located in the Oakhurst neighborhood in Decatur. They recently underwent some changes and have a new chef. It's a mezcal and tequila bar that serves great food as well. Parking is free. They're open Thursday through Sunday and serve brunch on weekends as well. Surprisingly, they were empty when I arrived and I decided to sit at the bar. I started with a house margarita. It's one of the best margaritas I've had at a restaurant in a while. It was so fresh and delicious. The bartender also let me sample some sotol which is a distilled spirit from a dasylirion plant. She described it as a mix of tequila and mezcal and the description was spot on. The menu isn't extensive and is composed of a few appetizers and tacos. I ordered the elote and carnitas, Al pastor and asada tacos. The tacos are 3 for $12 or 1 for $5. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I received great service and was quite satisfied with my selections. I cannot wait to return!"

"Naturally, (being from Nebraska) we opted for this breakfast spot based solely on the name! We were created by friendly smiling faces for 2 of our 3 mornings in Stone Mountain because we enjoyed Huskers Cafe THAT much. Good coffee, good food, good people- what more could you ask for? The restaurant is located in a strip mall and is a pretty nice and inviting place inside! They serve breakfast and lunch (not sure about dinner). I had their chicken and waffle for my first time there and had the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit the 2nd trip there. The chicken and waffle were great! The chicken was breaded, seasoned, and cooked to perfection and with the waffle and syrup was a perfect pairing! Their syrup comes out in preheated bottles which is a nice touch. Their syrup isn't as sweet as I am accustomed to so keep that in mind. The sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit was amazing. Biscuit is moist and buttery but held its own on the sandwich."

"Came here for a birthday dinner last night. It is a lounge/restaurant located in East Point. It's not in a really "popping" area but the location itself is nice. There's plenty of parking.Now on to the constructive criticism piece of my review bc I think this restaurant really needs some help.We came in on a Saturday night and the birthday boy's party was literally the whole place. There may have been maybe 7 additional customers. With that being said when his party walked in and sat down wherever(it was empty) he was told that we had to move bc the tables were "reserved". For who I don't know bc we were there until midnight and pretty much nobody outside of the bday boys party showed up lol. They didn't even bother to seat our party together. Second. Get a new DJOur waitress was very nice but she had no clue about the menu. She didn't know what was in any of their specialty drinks and the menu doesn't tell you either. I think even at the most basic level a waitress should know about everything that's on the menu if the place she is working. I asked for a French 75 and she didn't know what that was either so maybe this was her first waitressing job. Again she was super sweet though.The pasta is straight up oil so don't even bother ordering but the southwest egg rolls were really good. You guys need to make some changes to the menu. it's all over the place. Lastly, the bottle prices are ridiculous for the location. They're charging the same prices as Buckhead. Like we're in East Point lol. If I'm going to pay those prices I'd rather go somewhere where the vibes are much better. Honestly everything was overpriced for the quality and presentation. If I want to pay high prices I'll go to the city at least I get a little bit more bang for my buck.But overall, I won't be back lol. Just thought I'd offer some suggestions."

There's TVs at the bar with overhead music playing throughout.The menu offers a variety of American grill type of food & a full bar selection. Not sure if the upper bar which is quaint (2 TV's) is part of the restaurant or the hotel, yet provides more of an intimate space. A simple order: Warm Spinach, Artichoke & Crab Melt Dip for my Daughter & for me the Garlic French Fries. Service was good. The staff worked well in tandem to make sure all the guests were taken care of & in a timely manner. "Amazing experience from start to finish! Book was easy on Open Table. Parking is on the street or in an attached garage. This is very close to my office and we saw them on "High on the Hog" as a feature on the history of African-American food and food styles so I had to try it. I had lunch with my brother here today. Our waiter, Aiden, was so nice and attentive. He was a source of knowledge about the portion sizes per the menu. We met the General Manager, Mr. Nash, who was very kind, personable, and was a great conversationalist. This spot focuses as a cohesive team and I'm delighted it is also Black-owned and operated. I love the Southern take on Asian-theme foods, which are combining my two favorite genres of food.We started with the Croquettes, which were shrimp and grits services over Chimichurri sauce and they come three to an order. They were stupendous. I had the Egg Foo Young, as the traditional is one of my favorite Chinese food dishes. The gravy, the rice, the egg, the country ham, and the greens all meshed together was nearly orgasmic. Eat bite was a different and pleasurable experience. I had a side of grits with it. Everything is cooked from scratch but the food turnaround time is very reasonable and we didn't have a long wait at all. I highly recommend One Flew South. I will definitely be returning."

The avocado toast seemed pretty plain and unassuming at first but the addition of the cheese really added a lot. I do wish it had a little more, like maybe an egg or something on top. And I loved the sausage egg and biscuit! The gravy was so good. And I love the texture of the biscuit after going through the waffle iron. The drinks were also really good! The sweet matcha really lived up to its name in terms of sweetness (without being too sickly sweet) but I wish there was more of a matcha taste."

If they can add a small bench or a few chairs to wait for the to go orders that would be great! The bagels I purchased were good with the perfect amount of cream cheese . They did have a good amount of different bagel flavors to choose from which was great."

The restaurant is clean and there was no wait when we went. Parking is easy you just pull right up to the restaurant when you get to the plaza.
