To sum up my evening experience at Ariete in three short words? Wow, Wow, Wow.I have been meaning to go here for ever and a day. Now I have and I am so glad I did. This establishment definitely delivers with innovative, beautiful food that is most definitely worthy of their one Michelin star. If you have never been then you are missing out.My husband and I went for their Miami Spice dinner. We sampled the following - Homemade Cuban bread with a wonderful butter. The butter was so good, I asked for more!We also received an amuse bouche - which was a pure delight. Two small delicate and thin filo pastry cases filled with a pop of beetroot wonder.Appetizers - The Farmer which consisted of an eggplant spread, kumquats, local vegetables & greens. Fresh and gorgeous looking. A fabulous salad.- Venison Tartare served with black garlic, capers, grilled shitake and fine herbs. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicate the meat tasted. A wonderful dish. The shitake mushrooms were fried in a very delicate crisp like batter.Mains - Chicken served with a Homestead avocado soubise, chanterelle mushroom and fine herbs. The moist chicken was stuffed with the filling. A great dish.- Duck Wellington, duck confit, butterscotch calabaza and served with an orange-thyme jus. I have never had duck as a Wellington before and it worked. The jus was rich, but I could not tell there was Orange added. Still, did it matter? Not really, it was that good!Dessert - We were given two small mini key lime treats. Delicate tiny meringue bites with a real zesty lime hit. - Mini Flan, candy cap mushroom, sambuca crema and a coffee crumble. In short this was a sophisticated Creme Caramel. I told the manager Williams and our server Kevin, it was probably the BEST flan I have ever had the pleasure to sample. I will surely dream about this dessert for a LONGGGGGGGG time.Service was wonderful. The ambiance is clean cut, understated with an open kitchen, which I love. I cannot wait to go back! Prices are high, but the food quality warrants the price tag. If you are on a budget, YOU MUST DO THE MIAMI SPICE before it ends (End of September).

Saturday evening and found restaurant surprisingly not busy so overall service surely could've been better. Enjoyed the champagne scallop and foie gras, disappointed in the venison. Just didn't taste like venison at all, pretty regular taste at that and not so great, not sure what was done. The short rib a little better but not much either. First time there many months ago the service was pretty awful as the main server disappeared. So this was the second chance. Really don't see the high praises noted by others. As for Michelin, please, besides Michelin these days is paid by the Florida, and the Orlando, and the Miami Tourism boards a couple million to be in the state specifically to hand out stars. Those "stars" are going too easy as a result in Miami. Wonder why other restaurants in Florida outside Miami and Orlando not even mentioned?

This was my favorite restaurant during its first few years of operation, but along the road to empire building and Michelin stars it's lost its heart. The actual bones of the place - the architecture and ambiance - are still there. But there's no longer anything living inside. The service is now somber deliberate, and the food, while still creative, now feels like it's conceived with prestige in mind rather than conveying the soulfulness that was so charming in the early days. It's now just another premium, polished Miami restaurant, which is good for business and the "hospitality group" but bad for me I guess. Oh well. I miss the old Ariete.

The service is good they are attentive. The give detailed explanation for all the dishes.Cocktails were mediocre.Would not come back. - Foie Gras 2.4/5On the creamier side, it's a pretty small appetizer.- Scallop 4.1/5You can definitely taste the sear on the scallop. The sauce is tangy. It's a good appetizer!- Venison Tartare 1.4/5The grilled bread was good. The crispy mushroom or whatever on top was salty. The tartare was not good. It did not taste good. The tartare was one note. - Duck Wellington 1.2/5It's GROUND duck. Pastry on the outside, mush on the inside. The grilled squash on the side was ok, no flavor. The sauce on the plate was good. I would not get this.- Pork Chop 3.9/5Two small pieces of pork chop with a VERY salty salad on the side. The pork is very smokey and pretty good.- Mango tres leche 4.2/5Not as sweet and very moist. I enjoyed the ice cream and the cake.- Flan 1.8/5Thick thick thick flan. VERY sweet caramel. Street paid parking or valet for $11.

IMHO the best restaurant in Miami, with a Michelin star to prove it. It's mostly classic French, with innovative Miami specific twists, in a beautiful leafy Coconut Grove location.5 star food and service: fluke topped with conch and a side of basically fish sausages sounds like it wouldn't work but the combination was incredible. The service was equally incredible, smooth, helpful and professional.5 star ambience: the setting is beautiful. Try to sit in the lush courtyard if you can. Inside is a little more formal

I am speechless! This is more than just a restaurant, it's an experience. The staff went above and beyond to cater to us and make us feel at home. They went over the menu in great details and made suggestions on the most popular dishes and their favorites. We started with the mango & tamarin cocktail and omg! I couldn't get enough. Every single bite we had was phenomenal with unique flavors, textures and flare. We loved the short rib, the fish. We also had the oysters but note that their very rich in flavor. For dessert we had the guava & cheese, and if you think it's your regular guava & cheese dessert then think again. Just try it you won't regret it. Since it was my bday they also brought out a cupcake with a candle, and offerings before we left.Just an FYI it is pricy, but you're paying for a culinary adventure and experience. If you're in the area make sure to stop by, the vibes are perfect for a date night or to catch up with friends. Also their menu is always changing so be sure to check out the menu before you arrive.

All I have to say is Wow!! Tried this restaurant for the first time with guest that we're visiting from outside the country. Everyone was very impressed by the "white glove" service. It was as truly outstanding!! Our server Luz was delightful. Everyone else was very knowledgeable, from the Sommelier m, the other servers & the gentleman who pressed our duck table side was the star of the show! The duck was rich, succulent and absolutely amazing! It was truly an experience to watch & eat. The accompaniments were very creative. Lettuce salad to cleanse the palate & the mushroom tamales were an excellent touch. The wine that was suggested paired perfectly with the meal. The place is small but cozy. The lighting is a bit dark but great for a romantic dinner. It's pricey but definitely worth it for great dining experience!!

Had an exceptional experience at Ariete at a private event hosted by the "Bilt" credit card dining program. We were hosted in their spacious downstairs private cellar room, which had beautiful stone walls, a private bathroom, with a table beautifully set with floral centerpieces. This is a great space to host events, just be mindful cell service could be spotty depending on which carrier you have (but isn't it a good thing to unplug?). We were treated to a variety of their menu items, organized in four different courses, along with an amuse bouche and bread service. Everything was delicious but some of the standouts were "the farmer" (a delicious and innovative salad that included sesame paste with activated charcoal and a beet honeycomb), the venison tartare (have never had a venison version of tartare - very tasty!), the "arroz con pollo" chicken dish (chicken was great but especially loved the cachucha pepper stuffed with rice), the pastrami style short rib (flavorful and soft) and the guayaba y queso for dessert (light with a very pleasant tang). We also had a wine pairing during our dinner where the restaurant's team explained each pairing and why they were selected to go with the courses. Nobody's glass was ever empty, the team was on it! One of the wines included a red blend the restaurant partnered on with the "Sanguis" vineyard, including original label art. Our party all loved this one so much that we each took home a bottle. Thank you to the team at Ariete for such a wonderful experience and to Bilt dining for hosting such a great event to show us one of the amazing dining options on our city.

I went to this restaurant on Valentine's Day with my husband and deeply regretted it. Despite high expectations from positive Yelp comments, our night turned into a disappointing disaster. The tightly packed table setup, uncomfortable proximity of the chef cooking, and average meals didn't live up to the anticipated experience.I get that they cook the duck meal right by your table but the chef prepared it literally 6" away from me where I felt so uncomfortable and couldn't enjoy my dinner. Mind you that he wasn't even cooking for us but another table at the moment and having that fire and hot pans right in my face made me feel overly nervous!Meals were okay nothing special for the price. Service wasn't great either. No one came and asked if we needed anything after they took the orders. It was a hustle to order a second drink. I'm definitely not planning to go back any time soon.

When Michelin decided to recognize this restaurant I knew it was time to finally check it out. I ironically came here after a trip to NYC where I had gone to a three star Michelin restaurant and I wanted to see how Ariete compared. Honestly nothing they should be jealous of. As a matter of fact I felt more at ease and taken care of here. Perhaps because it's home and there's no place like Miami. I had reservations and I got seated in what I think is the middle of the restaurant. Not outside not inside but I was able to people watch everyone. We got a lot of food in our usual fashion. Oysters to start. They were excellent. I want to say we got the venison and the duck. The food was fantastic. I can see why Michelin recognized them. Service was also amazing. I will post all my photos so you guys can see why it was amazing rather than m talking about it.
