Walking in, you're instantly taken back to the 1930s! Beautiful decor, breathtaking ambiance, and stellar service. Went for our first time for date night, and our server Priscilla was nothing short of amazing. We ordered the dumplings and croquetas to start, and can I just say WOW. Islas croquetas are top notch, but these EXCEEDED my expectations! I could've easily had 10 to myself lol. For our entrees, we ordered the boniato gnocchi & steak frites.. again, 10/10. The boniato gnocchi had the perfect portion, and was sweet and savory. Steak frites were also delicious, and the mango chimichurri really takes it to the next level! For dessert we had the mango keylime, and again it was another hit. Quick and attentive service, and an incredible experience overall. I can't wait to come again! THANK YOU

My friends and I went for dinner and we were seated promptly. I do recommend that you make a reservation because it gets pretty busy. The ambiance is like being at your grandmas home, very relaxing. We ordered many tapas and then were all delicious. We shared the lomo salteado and it was tasty. For dessert, we shared the mango key lime pie and the timba- both were good.I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

My fiancé and I had one of the best date nights ever at Amelia's 1931! 10/10 recommend!! Our server, Andres, was wonderful! He was kind, articulate, and well-informed. The drinks were great! We had the Honey Love beer, a couple of glasses of Prosecco, and ended with the BEST Espresso Martini I've ever had!! The food was... CHEF'S KISS! The fusion that Chef Eileen has created is truly something special. All the flavors blended well and the dishes themselves were presented beautifully. We started with the croquetas; that were so good we ordered them twice! For the main course, I had the Seco de Res which was absolutely delicious. The braised short rib was so tender & flavorful. I absolutely loved the risotto it was served over. Although I didn't try it for myself, my fiancé had the Steak Frites and he loved it. He said they cooked the steak perfectly and the mango chimichurri gave the dish a nice twist. For dessert, we had the tiramisu which was somehow both thick + fluffy, and tasted great. Lastly, the ambiance... A mix of modern and traditional. They managed to create an environment that was both romantic and fun. And I could go on!Overall a spectacular experience! We will be back and we will be bringing our friends and family to share this amazing place with them. Thank you Chef Eileen & the rest of the Amelia's 1931 team! You've created something truly exceptional.

So if you love speakeasies, great cocktails and unique but delicious food, you're definitely gonna love this place. It has an unassuming entrance as a dry cleaner in a mostly residential area with and a 1920s vibe. They seated us immediately in a beautiful booth, and the server explained all of the menu options. The menu is a fusion of Cuban and Asian specialties. They even have live music on Thursdays and Saturdays. Each of us ordered something different and I must say that none of them disappointed. So looking forward to coming back.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would...it exceeded every expectation and is truly a gem in the unlikeliest of places: Kendall.Coming in, we were confused by the entrance...it looks like a dry cleaner but in wonderful speakeasy style you move past a curtain of dry cleaning garments and into a vintage style bar, with dim lighting, jazz playing and a decor that is simultaneous cozy and elegant. It's classy without being pretentious. But the FOOD. Wow. That was the word used over and over with each new bite, and everything--I mean, everything--was absolutely delicious. We had:Tuna Aguachile for appetizer: refreshing and delicious. The watermelon gave it an extra special touch of sweetness.Special of the day: fried snapper with Brussels sprouts. The little nuggets of fish were well presented, plated into a fried snapper. They did all the work for you so all you have to do is enjoy. The Brussels Sprouts (a generous portion) was amazing in a sweet soy glaze. I didn't think I would like this vegetable that much! The Boniato Gnocchi was delightful. I was concerned it would be too cheesy but this was the BEST gnocchi I've had. It came in a Rococo sauce that was never overpowering topped with a Parm crisp. It had the perfect Bliss Point--It left me wanting more, and I never say that about gnocchi.Cocktails:Penicillin: I was looking for something that wasn't too sweet and this was very refreshing. Dessert: Timba, a cream cheese mousse topped with guava and Maria cookies. Initially disappointed that it was served on a regular plate instead of the martini glass it usually comes in but it tastes lovely--not too sweet, and the cream cheese flavor was subtly sweet and not too strong. Very good and a reminiscent of the classic guava and cheese after dinner.Looking forward to coming back soon!

Food was incredible! We were a group of 4 and shared 3 appetizers and 3 entrees. The different flavors that each plate had were just amazing. The way Peruvian, Cuban and Korean food was combined was perfection. Our server was Priscilla and I would come back and ask for her again. She was so detailed with all of the plates we asked about and her recommendations were all accurate with food and drinks as well. Can't wait to come back and try new things they rotate on their menu.

It's not often that you find a place where the cocktails are as good as the food. Amelia's is that place. Started with the mussels and escargot which are both outstanding. For my entree I had the rabo on a bed of tamale en cazuela. This dish was phenomenal. Ended with the timba. From start to finish the service was top notch. Was having such a nice time I lingered at the bar enjoying amazing cocktails and live music

At last, fine dining makes its way to Kendall. Amelia's has always been a favorite hidden gem, but ever since the expansion it has allowed those of us who are out west to go out for a good time without a $50+ Uber charge. Food is amazing, and I recommend to go to the late night speak easy section for some good vibes, great music and creative cocktails.
