Very poor service, the ambiance was weird. First time came in, we already payed, when we finished, we talk outside, the came out said we were no pay yet......... and We ordered shrimp, first time give us 4, second time give us 2, and we just order 2 times, give us 3. Also the squid, we only order 1, give us 3.

I've been here twice and have been fed and impressed! Location and Parking Korean BBQ places are a dime a dozen in Gwinnett County, and Zen is located on Satellite Blvd. Parking is free. We went on Valentine's day at 9 pm to beat the crowds, but there was a steady stream of people all night, I guess because of the holiday. Venue and Atmosphere There are grill tabes and non-grill tables, but we opted for the AYCE menu and grill table. It gets pretty crowded and can be noisy, but there is no loud music and you can have a conversation. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Food and Beverages Their sides are not as "buffet style" as other places; all are available, but you have to ask for the egg and corn cheese. Otherwise everything is delish. My favorites are spicy pork bulgogi, pork belly, and cajun chicken. Their meat is seasoned better than some other KBBQ places. Service The staff is friendly, however most speak limited English so if you have allergies or a lot of questions about the menu, you might not get a thorough response. Verdict I'll be back when my bulgogi cravings hit!

Zen Korean bbq is located where Chow Won used to be. Chow Won was also all you can eat Korean bbq but you get to pick up the meat yourself, and in their case, it was more efficient. Zen Korean bbq is also all you can eat, but the service and "self serve" is where they failed to keep me and my family as a customer. 9 of us stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night and they weren't busy. The restaurant was about 20% filled but the servers were extremely worn out by this time. My server said they have had multiple parties of 6 that have just left. Zen offered two AYCE options, option A is $23.99/pp and option B is $29.99/pp. Option A, you get about 18ish choices while option B, you have 31 options. All of us opt for option B. We tried the following meats:Hawaiian steak Premium brisket LA Galbi Marinated short rib Spicy octopusBeef bulgogi All of the meats were pretty standard. Our favorites were the LA galbi because it was marinated. The service was extremely slow and the server just keeps saying how backed up they were and that they had multiple parties they had to serve for as well. I get it, but for all you can eat and that they bring out the meats, we were give small portions and was left waiting on meats a lot of the time. Another thing, the ban chan is mediocre and they don't really even replenish that because they were SO busy. If you order corn cheese and steamed eggs, just go ahead and put in a good amount of order because you'll be waiting a long time if you decided you want more later. Overall, I won't be coming back because of the following reasons:1) completely self serve when it comes to cooking your own meat. 2) food/meats was so slow to come out and you are always missing some type of side dishes 3) customer service was so lacking that I wonder why I was charged 20% tips when I did everything and they only bring out the meat. And finally: I actually left Zen feeling kinda hungry and that never happens at an AYCE. Overall, thanks Zen for a not so Zen night. I hope you guys figured it out. Also, my "server" says that they are still doing soft opening because they are still trying to figure it all out and they don't know when they will be ready to have a Grand Opening. Keep this in mind while you are dining in.

I honestly don't mind Zen Korean BBQ. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely return. I think so long as you come in with the expectations that this place is no frills you will have a good time. This place used to be Cho Won Buffet which also served Korean bbq. The interior was actually quite nice. Unlike Cho Won Buffet where you grabbed the meat and grilled at your table, this is like other Korean BBQ spots where the servers bring the meat to your table so you can grill it. Their menu has a wide variety of meats and is cheaper in comparison to other KBBQ joints in the area. We honestly only ordered brisket so I can only speak on that. Was it the best meat quality? No. But it was decent and hit the spot. The side dishes were all pretty good. I liked eating the onion salad with the meat since the flavors complimented each other well. They also serve corn cheese, steamed egg, spicy tofu soup, soybean paste soup, scorched rice, and spicy rice cake. The corn cheese was decent, the spicy tofu soup and soybean paste soup were good, and the steamed egg was still tasty despite being overcooked. The spicy rice cakes were also delicious. They were fried and drizzled with some kind of gochujang paste. I think they also give you lettuce wraps if you request them but I'm not sure if this is an additional charge. We did not try the scorched rice. They will give you jalapenos if you ask for them as well. Unfortunately they do not have rice paper here but these days no one does. Service was fantastic. The servers were quick to refill our waters and any of our side dishes - we never waited long for anything. There were two of us and they still gave each of us our OWN corn cheese, spicy tofu soup and soybean paste soup, steamed egg, and spicy rice cakes which was really nice! They noticed we wanted to grill the meat ourselves so they left us to it and didn't hover.Ventilation was good. They use a gas grill. I would most definitely return. This is a great place for quick and friendly service and if you just want to eat with no frills!

I honestly think its pretty good for an 24/7 kbbq. The ayce is a little pricy but if you're out drinking and want some kbbq past midnight this is the way to go! The owner told us that they are getting new menu starting april 11 so hopefully its better than now!

I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Zen Korean BBQ - they offer over 31 choices of KBBQ for only $34.99! I had the opportunity to speak with the manager and she said they use all prime quality meat for their AYCE options. I was extremely impressed with all the meats. I heard some mixed reviews about this place, but boy I was wrong. Everything was perfect. My personal favorites were the Zen Top Sirloin Steak, Beef Belly and the Large Intestines. I love that they had intestines as part of their AYCE and it wasn't bad quality at all. They also offer unlimited soybean paste stew, corn cheese and steamed egg which I thought was a huge plus. They all tasted pretty good and especially in this time of inflation, I am very impressed with the overall pricing and quality of the meat. Everyone who has doubts about this place should definitely check it out - IMO, I think it's pretty worth. There is also a cheaper AYCE option if you're not about all 31 meats.

Came in sweats and T shirt. They were quick and attentive. Food was good. Ordered the Prime Beef Steak. Prime brisket , premium pork belly and shrimp.Thats all you really need. They also cook for you which is a big deal. Many all you can eat places do not do this. Its very laborious. For those that are not aware there is a huge labor shortage right now. Many restaurants are not able to hire enough help. Do not hate on the current workers.
