Yianni's Gyro Place

Very friendly service, fast turnaround, and excellent food. I had the gyro sandwich with fries and it was excellent.

I'm so glad a friend introduced me to this greek restaurant on West Colfax. They have plenty of parking and there was no wait for a table on a Friday afternoon for lunch. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. The Yianni's House Special Platter is fantastic. It's Gyro, Chicken, Pork, Greek Salad & Pita bread, a great sampler of greek delicacies. Mine came with a dolmade, too!The owner was super nice and accommodating. It was just a wonderful experience.

My absolute favorite Greek restaurant. I come here almost weekly and sometimes i come more than once in a week. I always get the same thing which is the Gyro plate that comes with fries. I always take mine to go and I have to say I don't ever wait more than 5 mins for my food to come out. They are always busy and packed which speaks for itself. The staff is very friendly and nice and the establishment just overall has such a welcoming atmosphere. One thing that speaks for itself is that every time that i have come here, and at different times of the day. the food always tastes the same if not better than the last time. they offer tzatziki which is great and delicious.

Located on west Colfax, this place was easy to find. They have ample parking out back.Inside there is quite a bit of seating. Order at the counter. We moved from the Detroit area many years ago and miss the Greek food we would get there. This was such a treat to find. We've had a few places come close but this was spot on. My husband had a hankering for a Greek salad with gyro meat. I ordered a large for carry out with a side of falafel. I love falafel! I brought this home and it was devoured before a picture could be taken. The salad was fresh and crisp. Tomatoes, cucumber, onions, red cabbage, olives, feta, pepperoncini and dolmade. Oh my! The dressing was on point. The gyro meat so delicious. My falafel treat came with yogurt dip. So tangy and a perfect mate to the falafel. I'm excited to go back and try other things!

Tzatziki sauce so good I'd take a bath in it! Amazing Gyros and the fries were perfect! Faster service than Subway! Excellent shop and your plants and incredible! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! !

Never disappointed. Also, they have "American" food for anyone with you who may be leery of delicious Greek flare

The place was packed on a weekday for lunch. I see why. The food is good, filling, tasty and reasonably priced. Did I mention it is a family owned business -- it was clear to me, as I stood in line, there are a bunch of a regular customers. The place has clearly stood the test of time. As to the food, the gyros platter was exceptional, cooked perfectly, served warm and it hit the spot. Came with fries, Greek salad with Dolmas and freshly grilled pita. The falafel appetizer was alright -- way too much coriander than I expected or am accustomed to. Service was fast. Lots of take out orders. Lots of dine in. Yianni's is certainly worth a visit when you want to try Greek.

Family owned, friendly, and delicious food. Unassuming from the outside, but should be on everyone's radar. Food was wonderful and reasonably priced a great place to work into a regular rotation.

unimpressive food not worth what they charge. falafel is old and hard, hummus is underwhelming. vegetarian plate only comes with salad consisting of lettuce and tomato. tahini isn't even available.good amount of seating but lacking in ambiance. I would not recommend this place considering the number of better restaurants.
