Yaqui Tacos Tequila Y Mezcal

Went there for lunch with my wife last week. She had 3 tacos (asada, pork shoulder, and a veggie taco). I had the asada burrito. The food is fantastic. They're like 5 min from my house so I am in serious trouble. I saw they have a breakfast burrito with different breakfast meat options so I can't try to try it!! Staff is really friendly and told us about the journey to open this place up and let us know they're expanding into the building next door soon. Highly recommend this place!!!!

Ordered carne asada, barbacoa, & carnitas tacos and elote. The tacos were good. Lost a star for playing 80 & 90's American rock music instead of latin music (killed the vibe). It lost another star because the elote was boiled frozen corn, not roasted fresh corn. That made a serious difference in quality and flavor. Frozen corn has a very distinct mushy quality to it. It was also small. For $6.95 the elote should be fresh, period. Menu described the elote as roasted but it definitely was boiled, not roasted. The only margarita made fresh is the watermelon. The house marg is from a premix. The drink we ordered was not strong. When you are trying to win new customers over make strong drinks so people leave feeling happy.Denver has many high quality Mexican restaurants to choose from. To be competitive the details matter. I want to support family businesses. I hope they can get it right by making some minor yet very important adjustments. Or just remove items using inferior products like frozen boiled corn from menu all together.

I'm going to go back and give an updated review next month. This place is brand new and the team was not prepared for a busy Friday night. It took us around an hour just to get our food after we ordered dinner. Tacos are not complicated to prepare.The food itself was pretty good and the margaritas were pretty good. I think I would recommend this place on a slow night, but would recommend you avoid it at busy times... especially if you are hungry.

Quaint taco shop with great value and flavor. Grab a beer! Great addition to the neighborhood.

Maybe the best tacos in Denver. We've been looking for these tacos for a while, and this is probably going to be our go-to spot now. Friendly staff, very reasonably priced, and amazing food.

Very good food and friendly staff. We had a steak taco and a bean tostada, and they were very good. A clean and attractive place.
