Our server, Willis went above and beyond and we'll be repeat customers because of his act. We were starving coming in and were expecting quick service. We were seated right away, but our server was also the bartender. We both ordered drinks - mojito and rum punch and shrimp fritters as starters. You can tell the fritters were homemade because they were all mismatched in size. They were very flavorful with a bit of a spicy kick but can be tamed with the sauce it was served with. Now I'm glad we ordered a starter because our entree took awhile to come. I ordered the island vegetarian plate and my husband the jerk snapper. I wished that someone checked in on us while waiting for our food or at least told us about the wait. It seemed like they got some to go orders, plus we came in a lull because there were only a few workers by the time we were waiting. Thank goodness the food was worth the wait. Everything from the rice to the beans to the vegan empanadas were tasty. The empanadas were fried perfectly and had a sweet taste - probably from the jackfruit. The beans, rice and plantain is the trifecta you'd want to eat everyday. The corn with cotija was a nice added touch. It was a lot of food and could finish half of it, so the other half will be my lunch leftovers for tomorrow! The ambiance felt casual and beach-y. Parking lot is small but street parking is available. Since we did wait awhile for our food, our server comped both of our drinks which he totally didn't need to do, but he went above and beyond so now we'll frequent this place. Great food and good people; just what I want as a local neighborhood joint.

I loved the pasta (Rasta I think) and parking is in a lot (and it's plentiful). We came on Monday and there was a special for $7 mojitos. It was delicious and they were pretty strong. Our server was so attentive and came by often. The pasta was plentiful and sooo good. I love the atmosphere and it feels casual. I have now been here twice and love it!

Hubby and I had this on our list of places to try and they did not disappoint. We came for Father's Day weekend as we are Caribbean food LOVERS and trust me when I tell you - hands down one of the best Caribbean spots in the metro area!Parking: The lot in front of the restaurant is pretty tight and it doesn't help that its off of Moreland which is constantly busy but there is parking towards the back as its a small plaza shared with other businesses. Now back to food. We came for the Saturday brunch. We had the pleasure of being served by Dani whom is also the Bartender. She was super sweet, gave the best suggestions, personable and made a BOMB RUM PUNCH. We started with the Rum Punch pitcher - AMAZING! Took us back to the Bahamas! Also we started with some Shrimp Fritters. Again, 10/10. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp and Grits. That sauce, that sauce *chefs kisses*. Hubby had the Jerk Chicken Platter - let's just say nothing was left on his. I'm so sad that we took so long to visit but we will definitely be back as they have an Happy Hour and daily specials. Ambience was lowkey but culturally authentic all the way down to the music selections. It's also family friendly - at least during the day it was. We will definitely be back!

Five-star food and service and four-star drinks as they are sweet, but that is what you expect with rum drinks?!???! I have tried a few of their cocktails, which are lovely but good. I have them take out the simple syrup to make them less sweet, which I like. Everything that they do with the jerk seasoning is fantastic! I love their jerk wings, And I could eat them every day! I have also tried their chicken plate with beans and rice on the side, which is also delicious. I love this place and will continue to visit it all the time.

This was probably one of the best experiences I've had eating out in a while! The ambiance, the service, the food, everything was a 10 out of 10! The parking lot is tight and it's a one way so be careful with that. The vibe of this restaurant is so cool. I loved the old car that made up the host stand. It made me feel like I was back in Cuba. They have a plethora of Rum behind the bar. Every brand you could possibly think of is back there. The staff was so kind and courteous. Everyone worked together as a team which made everything run so smoothly. We got our food fast. Our drinks were tasty and we enjoyed our meal. The star of the show for me was the Pineapple upside down bread pudding. Two of my favorite desserts merged into one! It was soooo good. I can't wait to come back here and enjoy more of the menu.

I was excited about Wylie and Rum all week, I drove by it one day casually and added it to my list of restaurants to try in Atlanta. I'm happy to say that today, I crossed it off the list. I had no clue it was a Caribbean restaurant and was delighted to see the menu filled with different Caribbean dishes. The place is huge with plenty of seats, and it definitely gives an island feel on the inside from the color scheme to the music they play. You have a choice of dining inside or outside or by the bar. Like I said earlier, plenty of space they must get really busy on certain days. Our server was Thomas, and he was very accommodating. Told us the happy hour specials were only at the bar and did not make it a big deal when I asked to be moved because of bad lighting, lol. I always appreciate a server that is knowledgeable and can give me insight into the dishes, and Thomas knew his stuff. Now for the food, I think the food was a bit underwhelming. It might be the expectations I had for it being a Carribean place, and I had been craving rasta pasta, so that is what I had. It was lacking a little in the flavor department, but not to say the mean was not good, it is just not the best I ever had. I attest that to being from New York and having a lot of Carribean food. I forgot to mention the shrimp fritters as well, we had that as an appetizer, and I enjoyed those too, but again, there was something bland to it, and I can not put my finger on it. They had a wide variety of hot sauces at our disposal, which helped and was greatly appreciated. There are other things on the menu I would love to try. I would absolutely go back to it, and I would encourage anyone to give them a try.

Came for a lunch meet up with a friend. I had to wait for a short while and the staff were sure to check I was good regularly. I love the happy hour offers they have. The rum punch was delightful and tasty. My meal came out quick and was pretty good and well prepared. The decor of the restaurant is colorful and fun. The parking lot is very small so be mindful when planning your visits.

This was my first time here and it was okay. I got the jerk chicken plate and a specialty cocktail. The cocktail was super sweet and strong. I couldn't finish it to be honest. The food itself was good but didn't blow me away. However, the service was great with the waiter being friendly and attentive. The ambiance was very tropical and it felt like I was transported to an island somewhere. I wouldn't be opposed to coming here again and trying more things on the menu!
