Woodson's Local Tap + Kitchen

Nothing super exceptional for me. Service was very friendly at the hostess stand. We ordered some takeout and the food was very average. Chicken fried steak was very dry. Maybe it was just an off night? They use to have a delicious Cuban sandwich in the menu so we were disappointed when it was no longer offered.

Wanted to go for a good comfort/gastropub food and found Woodson's was not far from my hotel, plus the pics / reviews were very favorable.I sat at the bar and was pleasantly greeted. I checked out the craft beer selections and eventually opted to stay with water.The atmosphere was very inviting, and bar stools were probably one of the most comfortable I have ever sat on.Food was very good and reasonably priced. If I lived in the area, Woodson's would definitely be a go-to for sure.

My favorite local neighborhood hang out spot. I got the TVs on for the games and amazing service. Great drinks, delicious food. You cannot go wrong with any of the appetizers. From the giant pretzel, to the eggrolls, to the onion rings, to the loaded tots. It's all delicious.

We came in with a group of 10 and they were kind enough to pull a table together for us even though the restaurant was somewhat crowded on a Sunday afternoon at 1. We ordered queso which came out quickly and was good. My niece ordered the kids chicken strips which by my pic you can see were enormous given it was the kids portion. She said they were great. I ordered the chili mac egg rolls. They were fairly good but I wouldn't order them against I was a little disappointed that they weren't more flavorful. I do give the Jalapeno Ranch a thumbs up though. Our server was good but we noticed she had tables on the other side of the restaurant on the patio in addition to ours so we were waiting for for a few things and our tab took awhile. It was a good visit and I would go back to this location.

Really enjoyed the Beer Selection, the Ambiance and the Food and Service. Met a great couple here and shared some good conversation. Will definitely stop in again when in town!

Woodson is always a solid choice for dinner in Conroe. After a killer arm workout, I was famished for wings and they absolutely delivered. It was Kristy's service that pushed the experience to an even higher level. She was attentive, kind, positive, upbeat, and she made my friend and I feel like friends she'd known for years. We weren't left waiting forever, and she wasn't hovering. Her service was a great compliment to the amazing wings. I also noticed that it wasn't just us she was giving great service to. Many times, good service goes unmentioned, so i feel this kudos is well deserved. We had Mango Habenaro, and something garlic (Kristy knows). If you're in Conroe or looking for food on 1488, stop by and ask for her section.

Normally I would give a four star, but... be very careful when they are busy! Today, the kitchen did not care much about ensuring the order was correct or even prepared with attention you would normally expect. The waitress was very nice and friendly but two orders both no one should pay $30.00 for the salad and club. Forgot the grilled chicken and the sweet potato fries. Great place, but when busy just be sure to check!

Woodsons always has a great product and good service! The wings are good with a dry rub. Love the flavor of their crawfish but slightly overdone. It was late on Friday night so I'll definitely be trying again. One of my favorites on 1488 for crawfish so far.
