LOOK AT THE COLOR OF THESE FRIES! Old grease? Reheated fries? Disgusting.

Having changed the name at least twice (Big John's Hot and Spicy, & Big Johns Wings and Things), this food truck's owners have now settled on Wingski's. I'm not sure how that name came about, but with this name, I presume they'd do decent wings. An accurate presumption in this instance. There's a variety on the menu from this food truck, a sandwich, a wrap, buffalo shrimp, chicken and waffles, and - an unusual (for a food truck) but regional specialty - a fried bologna sandwich. With all of that, though, it's the wings that drew us in. With about a dozen different sauces, and with wings available in regular and boneless, our first sauce choice was not available (boo!) but the classic buffalo sauce was, and that's what we tried. It was listed a "medium" heat, but maybe I'm used to really hot, because I found it more of a low heat. The person I was with thought it was perfect. On the plus side, there's nothing like wings hot from the cooker. It was worth the short wait. Because the wings were smaller than average, the Wingski's crew threw in a couple extra wings and for the price, it was a nice surprise. The people handling the orders were most apologetic for not having our initial sauce choice, and handled it with a sense of humor. I think we'll be trying to find them again because there were quite a few options and we have more sampling to do.

I tried out Wingski's the other night and thought that they were good, but nothing super original. I appreciated the diversity in the menu (they do have other things other than wings and fries) and thought the price were fair for the amount of food you get. The wings were good, however, I always compare wings to Heavenly Buffaloe's, which is a pretty high bar. Wingski's had a nice selection of sauces, but I would have liked more flavor and more spice. The fries were really good and I could tell they made them fresh, but I didn't need to pay extra for the parmesan cheese. Overall, it was a good meal but I will probably stick to my Heavenly Buffaloe's delivery in the future unless I am really hungry (unlike other reviewers, we got our food in about 5 minutes but there was no line).

Great buffalo and hot Korean wings! I wouldn't really recommend the mango habanero - the sauce was really thick and sweet. Also had some potato skins that were delicious.

I've got nothing but love for our food truck merchants, so I'm going to do this without hyperbole and colorful prose. I ordered wings and chicken and waffles on a stick.Wings didn't blow my mind. They're average wings with above average sauces.Out of 15 wings, 5 were drumettes (small drumsticks) and 10 were flats/wingettes (the part with 2 bones). Not an ideal ratio, especially when the wings are ~$0.93 - $1.16 each, depending on quantity ordered. One of my 5 drumettes was cracked in half.Better places in town to get wings, IMO. If you're a wing fan, then check out Heavenly Buffaloes with 2 locations in Durham. They're just better wings. If you're in Charlotte, check out King Wing (might be wing king).Wings:Value: 1/5Taste: 3/5 - the sauces are decentTexture: 2/5 - The wings had no crunch. Soggy. To be fair, I ate them after they had sat in the box for 5 minutes while I was eating my chicken and waffles on a stick.Chicken and Waffles on a stick:Value: 4/5Taste: 2/5 - Valliant effort... just nowhere near the original, and how could it be? Didn't taste anything like a waffle, but it was more brown than the golden tint of a waffle. Maybe overdone? I'm not sure, I've got nothing to compare it to.Texture: 4/5 - Great crunch on the exterior.edit: forgot to mention this, and another reviewer said it. I waited longer than expected. It was a solid 15+ minutes for my order and when I got there, no one was ordering. Everyone was standing around waiting. I'll take this as a good sign that everything is made to order.

The Wingski's Food Truck was at Trophy at Maywood yesterday - good thing, because I was starving! They have a pretty impressive menu and I had a hard time deciding what to order. I got the sweet & spicy boneless wings and split the Parmesan fries with my husband. The sweet and spicy sauce was awesome. It had an interesting flavor. Is there nutmeg in it? Whatever it is, it's fantastic. My husband got the BBQ sauce, which was also quite tasty. I will definitely be on the look out for Wingski's in the future. I want to try the chicken & waffles on a stick!

This food truck came to my workplace. The day they came was very cold and rainy. My workplace has a lot of employees so there was a long line already. I stood in line with my coworker for 30 minutes when we finally got to order. I ordered the chicken and waffles on a stick and parm fries. 35 minutes later I was still waiting. It was so cold outside and wet I couldn't feel my feet anymore. We finally asked when our food would be ready and only then were told their fryer was broken. They were able to finish my food. The parm fries were AWFUL. they were so wet and limp and they literally just dumped parm cheese on top of regular, limp fries. I had three and left the rest. So awful. The chicken waffle was pretty good, but then made me VERY sick that night and the next morning. $16 meal was awful, customer service was worse. Will never try this place again.

Just had 10 wings and they were soooooooo good! Had 5 of the buffalo and 5 of the garlic parm. Both excellent favors. If I were to do it again I would get something hotter than the buffalo. It has that awesome buffalo tangy flavor but I could use more heat from years of eating face melting wings. Also, these wings were huge. I eat a lot and should probably start dieting but I could barley finish 10 wings. Oh and they were fast! There were 4 people in front that placed their order and I had a large order for several co-workers. I don't think I waited for more than 5 minutes after placing my order. Great job guys! Can't wait for the next time you come visit Wade Park area.

Ate at this food truck for lunch. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was slimy and clearly terrible quality chicken. I asked for mayo, lettuce, and tomato... I received 2 small pieces of lettuce and a tiny bit of mayo with no tomato. Even the fries were God awful. Limp, dark brown, and so soggy. Never again. I wasted $10, had to throw away the entire meal.
