This is authentic Cantonese food. Totally exceeded expectations. First time trying their Roast Pork, and it was the best I've ever had. We also ordered the house special chicken and spicy/salty toasted squid: highly recommend both!

My sister waited 15 minutes at the table and was completely ignored. The table right next to her came in at the same time but because they spoke fluent Chinese they were given priority and good service. We have never had issues here when we come with my mom (perhaps because she speaks Vietnamese fluently). The waitress does speak English well too though, so I'm not sure what that's about! Really recommend going to Siulap City instead of Wing Kee.

A small Cantonese restaurant that serves big portions of food for sharing. The sweet and sour pork was a little hard but tasted good. The wonton noodles were ok. Soup was Hong Kong style but the wonton skin was a little thick. The sautéed flat rice noodle with beef and egg was not too bad. Silky egg combined the beef and flat rice noodles together. Generally all the food was a little salty for me. Service was fast and great though.

I hate that I have to write this review as I have enjoyed their food in the past. I order takeout this weekend and midway through eating out food we found a piece of hair in our food. Hair alone I can live with but a few bites later (what can I say we were hungry) we found a bug. Overall, I may still come back for their roast meats as I can closely inspect the food I get but this incident pretty much turned me off to this place.

I ordered take out and my fiancé went in to pick up the food so I'm not sure how it looks like inside. We were recommended to get BBQ from a friend. When called to place an order we were told they didn't have any BBQ pork left so we went ahead and just ordered a whole duck. When my fiancé went in to pick up the food he saw a HUGE pan of BBQ pork so he once again asked to order a pound, this time since it was out they then said they have it. Even ordering a whole duck they were able to fit it into 1 container, but only provided enough sauce for half a duck. Since I was visiting I'm not sure if that's the norm in Houston. The BBQ pork was flavorful but the duck wasn't as good. I've had better ones from many other places. The duck tasted more on the bland side even with the sauce.

The roast pig they sell till run out but the people who frequent here knows to come here at 12:00 take it to go and leave. Obviously they run out after 2 or 3 pm. When I came here the frequents know what time their stuff comes out and form an automatic queue. Even Alief police knows when to come get their take out. I came here again at 6:15 and the waitress basically looked at me when I ordered bbq meats that o should know better???Good place for roast pork and char siu but hard for me to get there at the magical time.

I ordered 1lb bbq Pork and 1lb roasted pork, roasted was okay, crunchy but bbq one was too sweet but they give me each order 2 lb or more, they reying to sell you more for your asking. Came out $40 for it.Restaurant kinda empty when I walk in. They won't last long in my opinion. They try to fool you. Stay away

My mom is obsessed with this place so when I flew down to visit this time around, she kept pressing me to try it. I let her take over and order since she's a local and it's her favorite spot. We got a pound of bbq pork char siu and a whole duck. The char siu was my favorite. It had the right depth of flavor and good lean-to-fat ratio. The texture was the elasticity I was looking for and not at all dry. It was a little too well-glazed as it was on the sweeter side (if you look at my picture of the char siu, the sauce is mostly glaze). My impression of the duck was the most unexpected - all the other ducks in the area have disappointed me but this one met my standards. It had crispy skin and the meat was savory enough without the accompanying soy sauce, and most importantly, it was not gamey. The chef cut up a whole duck for us straight out of the oven (the bird was so piping hot that steam came out as the knife went in). He's a real MVP for holding that duck like pain receptors in his hands don't exist (that's how you know if an Asian chef is a pro - when heat/burns feel like nothing to them). I have no complaints about the duck except it was slightly undercooked. The chef should have allowed the duck to rest prior to cutting. Resting is often overlooked but it's actually a crucial part of the cooking process (it doesn't just apply to steak). This is because when you rest meat, it continues to cook... which is why the ducks hanging on display for hours were fully cooked whereas the one he gave me fresh out the oven wasn't. Having tried four other popular Cantonese bbq spots in Houston, Wing Kee surpasses the bar previously set by all the other bbq restaurants I've tried. I say this with confidence as their meats can compete with what you can find in NYC's Chinatowns. Fun fact for non-NYC locals: we actually have three major chinatowns (plus a handful of smaller, scattered chinatowns) -- not just one -- imagine the food options!

Service was a hit or miss. The Vietnamese lady was very nice, but the other servers were a little rude. Food was good, the roasted pig is a must try. It had very crispy skin and tender meat. The place itself might be a bit unsanitary as I found a roach running across the place.
