White Swan Bar-B-Q & Fried Chicken

Living in Florida, there's no real good Bar-B-Q, so I had to stop in to fill up. There's nothing like good old fashioned East Carolina BBQ pork, slaw and all the other great sides. Find a seat inside the wood paneled dining room and be transported back in time as you order like people have for more than half a century. Everything is simple, clean, and the waitress is sweet and patient with newbies like my gf who's never experienced such deliciousness. If you're on 95 heading North to bland food, or South to Vinegar/Mustard BBQ, it'll be worth your efforts to drop in for EXCELLENT traditional Bar-B-Q.

I am so glad this place was on Yelp!! I lived in NC for a long time and was passing though from a road trip and dying for killer Carolina BBQ. This was incredible. We got the family pack with a pint of BBQ, a pint of Potato salad and 1/2 pint of Cole slaw. Seriously the best of the best. Highly recommend. Friendly people and clearly popular. It was a bit crowded!

Every time I drive south or north on interstate 95 I stop at White Swan for a barbecue. It's conveniently located off of the interstate and it's worth the detour. They're chopped pork BBQ is heavenly. Their boiled potatoes are remarkably good.

It's a Very friendly family place, the food is amazing so is the staff. I'm from New York so I'm definitely not used to the staff being so friendly but was so happy we came here. We were offered samples so that we can taste it before buying. Incredible food incredible price this is def worth coming to again

No frills but definitely tasty. The ribs were delicious and the BBQ sandwiches were large and good topped with coleslaw. Very affordable.

Fantastic barbecue without a lot of fat!!! A favorite of ours for many years. We usually get ours to take out.

Some of the best BBQ in NC. Classic eastern style and absolutely the best hush puppies I have ever had (and I've had a lot!). Get a belly washer tea or soda to wash it down and you've got yourself a meal. Friendly service, good food, and a random hole-in-the-wall building on a country road... a recipe for success!
