Whales Wings and Seafood

So far, I've only tried the catfish nugget lunch special. The catfish nuggets were perfectly cooked and very tasty! The French fries were also. The shrimp were very small and average tasting. And when I say the shrimp were very small, I mean so small that I initially thought they forgot to include them in my order. They sprinkle a powdery lemon pepper seasoning on the food, which is tasty but salty. So if you don't like salty food, then ask them to go light on the seasoning or just get it on the side. The staff is pleasant and friendly and are dressed in regular street clothing (no uniforms). I think it would be good for them to at least wear a standard uniform shirt or just a plain black or blue t-shirt and a plastic apron. It's an old drive thru sonic restaurant so there isn't a place inside to sit down and eat. But, you can pull into one of the stalls surrounding the building to eat. The owner may also want to consider adding a protective liner to the bottom of the styrofoam containers or changing the container to a more sturdy one because, the hot fried foods melts and disfigures the container before you can finish the meal. And it's essentially impossible to store the food in the container for later if you don't finish eating. The "catfish filets" are really Swai and I don't like Swai at all so I won't ever try that menu item. I'd like to try the wings and beans next time because, my son tried the wings and said they were delicious.

I ordered the 10 piece wings and was given 4 extra. I hope it is because the wings are so small they look like they came from a Cornish hen. Yet the breading is good, were not ova or undercooked. Very tasty tho I prefer the wings, Fries and Fish be seasoned with Spicy Tony Chachere. Tony makes everything taste better. I ordered Whole Snapper, again all good. A bit expensive for my cheapness at 15$ each, but will last me 2 days min. So far I can say the best wing and fish spot on the SW side of Houston. I will definitely be back after I save up for 2 meals and have a taste for fish. Fry's came with both but Rice of some kind may have been a second option, I wasn't offended a choice. The Server/Cashier was beautiful and well mannered.I prefer Red Snapper or Red Fish. The fish was a little ova cooked, dry and had a vinegar after taste, and a smell I can't tell if it's the oil or not.The best thing they can do is use Wild Seafood only, no farm raised.

They never fail me!! I love this place! Everything on the menu is good! The owner and staff are friendly and they don't forget a face! They will always have me as a customer

The jumbo shrimp and fried chicken are delicious. The reason for 2 stars is my fish smells like ammonia which means it's spoiled. So I couldn't eat it, it turned my stomach. Depending on the time of day you get good customer service. The frozen lemonade is delicious.

OMG!! I was here on Monday and I will be back! I got the catfish nuggets and shrimp with fries. It came with the usual condiments plus small cups of hot sauce and a tartar/ketchup mix? Both were on point and all I needed. The fish and shrimp were fried perfectly as were the fries which had some sort of salt/pepper/vinegar seasoning. I thought it was delicious . I was pleased with the service. It was quick and the gentleman that took my order was friendly. I'll be back to try the wings and different fish. Overall-5 stars!

This good is disgusting. No flavor, looks NOTHING like the pictures. Small pieces of fish and even smaller shrimp. The batter is horrible. Waste of money. First and last time ordering from here.

So my wife said she wanted to try this new local restaurant in our neighborhood, and she ordered 2pcs wing and 5pcs shrimp combo and ordered me a 6pcs wing w/fries combo, I have to say that was one Awesome meal and will definitely make a return visit. Props to the chef, y'all are our go-to restaurant for a neighborhood restaurant. Keep up the great service.
