Western Sizzlin Steakhouse

The employees we encountered were awesome. Both when ordering and paying to our waiter. The food was sub par for sure. We ordered off the menu ribeye and pork chop. Ribeye was cooked to temp but there was a bunch of fat and grizzle. Pork chop was a little over cooked but wasn't too dry. Rather fatty as well. Baked potato was definitely baked.... As in over baked!!! I'm not sure what was done to the Texas toast but it was just plain horrible. Salad bar.... Brown lettuce and toppings were full but a bit messy. Won't be having a craving for WS anytime soon.

We ate here on Thursday, May 26, 2022. I was excited because I grew up eating at the local Western Sizzlin' but hadn't seen one in more than 20 years. My husband and I both ordered the Rib-Eye steak. Mine was cooked perfectly (medium rare) but tasted salty and looked more like it had been fried than grilled. It was very disappointing - I could have gotten a juicier, much more tasty rib-eye at Outback or Texas Road House for about the same price. The French Fries were very good, and fresh, but there just wasn't much food for the money. My Texas Toast tasted slightly stale. The staff was very nice, the restaurant and bathrooms are clean and attractive, good family atmosphere, and the food buffet bar looked much more appetizing than the steaks we ordered. When we come back to Dunn to eat I will definitely order the buffet instead. It is very large, with a great selection of meats, veggies, salad, fresh rolls and desserts. The fried chicken alone looked crispy-delicious and so did the fresh-baked rolls. I was sorry I didn't see what was in the buffet before I ordered my steak. If you want a good family meal in Dunn, come here and try their buffet. Maybe we just got a luck-of-the-draw lackluster meal for whatever reason. I will give them another chance, but won't order the rib-eye again.

Fried chicken was over cooked, fries shrimp wasn't prepared or cooked properly one of the two. The breading on the shrimp was falling off straight out of the kitchen on the buffet. Waitress wasn't attentive and prices for buffet were outrageous. I paid the same price for an 8 year old child as I did for an adult meal. They had seafood on the buffet on a Monday night. Won't be back food wasn't worth the price and lighting was extremely dim. You have to wait on the waitress to bring you your plates and dinner ware for the buffet. We were given dessert/salad plates for our buffet as waitresses said they didn't have any dinner plates clean and she got those plates as soon as they came out dishwasher so they were still wet. We sat there for 15 minutes waiting on refills and more plates for our Buffetts. This was our first time back since being under new ownership and management and they have dropped the ball seriously in this store.

What people see in this place idk, food was cold and nasty, the menu is horrible, the only good thing are the baked potato's

Non-existent service, my friend ordered a medium steak; the replacement came out just as the four of us were ready to leave. The buffet's chicken was extremely dry.

Went for lunch today and it was great, we had turkey, sausage and ham with pineapple! Which is what we talked with Charles about a month or so ago and he listen. My Daddy Appreciated it! Thanks Charles!!

Here we go: new owners and they are making a big splash.The chop steak is the best I have ever eaten anywhere.The hand breaded chicken tenders are really awesome.The STEAKS are certified black angus steaks @ a very good price for the quality of the steaks.If you have not been here - you have to check it out-When going to the beach along I-95 spend an hour there you will not be disappointed!!!

First time I have been in a long time. The buffet was good and stocked well. Everything was clean

Their food is always fresh and they have a nice selection. The wait staff is very courteous and attentive. I thought the restaurant kept things clean around the bar which is very important to me. I love Sizzlin!
