I had a fantastic Birthday night! Fabulous decor focused on all aspects of the sea--beautiful ambiance with an upscale vibe. The serving staff was polished and well-versed in the offerings of the day. The waiter was extremely attentive & speedy! I felt exceptional. The food is delicious. The freshly made sourdough rolls with a pinch of rock salt sprinkled on top were so good. Seafood is FRESH! We enjoyed the oysters, the Chilean Sea Bass, clam chowder, calamari, Scampi, and other things I can't remember--definitely the best seafood in Denver. The drinks were delicious! Absolutely perfect! Everything here is delicious. It is pricey but worth every penny. They offer valet parking! Will definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!

Water Course is ok. I don't know if my seafood bar is really high or what but it's good/ok.The halibut cheeks were alright. The fennel had some hard parts when trying to eat it, so that wasn't great. The fish and sauce was fine. The clam chowder had sand in the mussels or something because I was feeling the grit. I would not expect a seafood place to ever have grit when this is their specialty. I'm confused how that could happen. The flavor of the chowder had some sweetness in it. I wonder what sweet ingredient they're putting in it. I prefer my soups full on savory, so I don't like adding sugar. I came one other time for a lobster roll and it was good but nothing really stood out with me as memorable as I'm trying to recall while typing this.

So, I've be pretty bad. I had intentions of posting this review months ago but I keep forgetting. lol until I looked through my photos....The sushi was okay, not the biggest fan here for it. Tbh. Everything else was fabulous. Fresh seafood. Oysters delicious. The best freaking thing was the service from our waiter. Jaia. Holy crap, this guy had sooo much information on the seafood, where it was sourced, the pairings, and so much more. I genuinely was impressed by the amount of information he could provide on our meal. If I could, I would have given this guy a gold star. He killed it. That's why we took a picture of our receipt because I wanted to mention him in particular. Fabulous job sir. If you can choose who you'll be served by... grab him. He killed it. Okay. That's all for now.

Water Grill never disappoints! I hadn't been to this location yet and so glad I did last night! Inside is a great vibe that is an open concept with a great bar area and oyster bar as well. If I would have been here for a work gathering I would sit at the oyster bar and really enjoy their excellent selection of oyster literally shucked right in from of you. For dinner I had the king salmon and all I can say is wow and so delicious. 3 of the people in our group got the Chilean sea bass and all said it was the best they've ever had. This place is always on point and every meal has been fantastic. Service last night was a 5 star all the way. Our waitress was so awesome! We had a larger party and her attention to detail about everything was superb. She checked in throughout and made great recommendations that everyone loved including the appetizers. Will for sure be back!

Being landlocked can make it very hard to find fresh and delicious seafood, you will not have that problem at water grill! The decor is classic seafood restaurant with wooden elements and you can smell the fresh seafood from the moment you walk in. Our server was excellent and I cannot wait to go back and try more of their items! MY ORDER: jumbo lump crab cake, farmed Manila clams with chorizo, smoked hamachi nachos, wild ross sea Chilean sea bass, endless rays cocktail BEST BITE: the server recommended the Chilean Sea Bass and I am so glad he did! It was perfectly pan sautéed with a brown butter sauce. It was rich (like butter!) and absolutely delicious!

This is still a pretty new restaurant in the Denver area. I have been three times so far and had three decent experiences, but never had a dish that really blew me away. Service is very good, but personally I prefer something a bit more casual where they talk to you less frequently. I am writing this review because the last time I came here (a few days ago), I had my best meal here so far. The seafood was cooked perfectly and I have nothing bad to say.

YUM, YUM, YUM!!! We stopped in for a quick business lunch and decided to share everything. It was all great and wonderful service. Calamari was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The lobster roll was amazing and the Halibut Cheeks (not pictured). The bread though....OMG! Great downtown location.

Beautiful seafood spot in downtown Denver. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Was impressed by the knowledge of the bar staff re: the various seafood. Was also exceedingly impressed by the oyster selection--over a dozen different rotating types of oysters available daily! Super impressive. We sat at the bar and just had a few oysters, scallops and other snacks, but the rest of the dinner menu looked delicious, too. If you are a seafood fan, this place is definitely worth checking out. A solid addition to the Denver food scene.

The cons:--the food lacked seasoning and flavor--the portions were a little smaller than expected--the food was very slow to come out given that we came at an off time and the restaurant was emptyThe pros:--the ambiance and decor are perfection. There are huge windows giving lots of natural light; big, comfy chairs and plush booths that invite you to settle in and stay a while; and the seafood theme is carried through expertly.--the workers were kind--odd enough, the mashed potatoes were the best item on the tableThe food:Sea Bass - it's a thick filet with a light crispness on the outside. It would have been more flavorful if sliced into a thinner cut. It came with a butternut squash purée and butternut squash gnocchi; I enjoyed both of thoseScallops - they were a little rubbery. The cauliflower purée it comes with was the best thing on the plate. There some sweet sauce drizzled on the plate that was very good mixed with the purée. The roasted cauliflower (which, for the record, is my favorite way to eat cauliflower) was underwhelming and lacked seasoning.Brussel sprouts - dry and flavorless. They need some seasoning and a sauce. I would have expected the bacon to add some flavor but it didn't. The bacon was in super THICK chunks. It felt like chunks of crispy hamCake - too dense for my liking, but the pistachio-coated cherry ice cream was everything!
