I have had Walk-On's on my list for a long time. My friends have recommended it. I don't often give 5 stars but they surely deserved it tonight. We were seated quickly. Our waitress was very sweet and apologized for the service because it was after the storm that knocked out a lot of businesses and they were having some issues but really service was still very acceptable. We started with an appetizer of their BamBam shrimp and they were absolutely delicious. Our pressed po-boy (I can't remember the name) had fresh blackened shrimp, cheese, and fresh jalepenos. It was devoured. So freaking good. Spicy, fresh and under $15. I substituted broccoli to be a little healthy and it was even delicious. The drink menu was great. Good wine like Josh, draft beers, ciders, and seltzers plus fresh cocktails. The atmosphere was very lively, and there were TVs everywhere. It would be a great place to watch a game or a fight. The story of their humble beginnings in Baton Rouge is also wonderful. Walk-Ons is on my rotating list for sure. Loved it!

Why 4 stars? Because this is definitely some of the best sports bar food I've ever had. --- --- ---I was in the area to visit family and asked my brother where we should eat. This was his suggestion, and I'll admit, I was not super excited about our destination being a sports bar, but it definitely far exceeded my expectations. We started off with three appetizers:Mozzarella Sticks: 5-stars. My brother suggested these and again, I was not that excited about them. But AGAIN, my brother was on a heater: this was definitely our favorite side. Moz sticks seem like they are usually just fine, but these were definitely elevated, both in flavor and in size. Boudin Balls: 4.5-stars. These really hit the spot for me, whether I dipped them in ranch of the horseradish dijon. Maybe a tiny notch below the moz sticks, but still really enjoyable.Boom Boom Shrimp: 4-stars. This seemed to be the biggest highlight, according to Yelp, and it was enjoyable, but ended up being outshined by the other two apps. For my entree, I was tempted by a lot of things, but ultimately went with the Cajundillas. And they were everything I hoped they would be. They were a tad on the greasy side, but absolutely delicious. 5-stars.Loaded Mashed Potatoes on the side: 5-stars. I was very happy with my choice to sub these in for the red beans and rice.I ordered my son the Grown Up Grilled Cheese because I'm selfish and wanted to try it. 4-stars.For dessert, we ordered a couple of different items:Warm Cookie Sundae: 5-stars. Home run. The only bad thing about this is that a bunch of us shared it and I wished I had my own.Bread Pudding: 2-stars. Definitely the only big miss of the meal. We all universally agreed that it was a disappointment, which was a bummer because it seems like it's one of their signature dishes. There are large, crystal-clear TV's in every square inch of this place. I'm sure they really shine during football season. If we're just grading based on the sports bar category, this is a no doubt 5-star establishment.

*Does Mike Breen impression* BANG!The product of two former LSU basketball players who were inspired by the sports bars they visited across the nation, Walk-On's nails it from downtown. I had no idea this place was going up, but I caught sight of it not too long ago and added it to my Bookmarks on the app.My first visit here was everything I'd hope it would be. Been eager to try the Cajun ribeye, and it surpassed my expectations. While I'll overlook how it wasn't blackened, I'm enthralled by how big it was. The steak nearly took up half the plate to where it appeared to push the accompanying green beans and loaded mashed potatoes towards the edge! *Laughs*. Flavor wise, my taste buds wanted to dance as if there was some zydeco playing. It doesn't hurt how the meat was easy to cut and melt-in-your-mouth juicy. I like the chicken and sausage gumbo, too. I ordered it in a cup just to be on the safe side. The only knock is that it should've came piping hot as it was lukewarm. I would still get, though. As I worked on my meal, I thought to myself how this is a perfect spot to catch games. Simply put, all signs to put to possible.

Walk On's Sports Bistreaux is a sports bar/restaurant with a cajun flair. It fits well into the Clear Lake restaurant scene. It is located in a prime location in front of Academy and the new Great Wolf Lodge that is currently under construction. It will only get busier as time goes on. As the name suggests, it truly is a sports bistro. There are TV's just about every square inch of viewing space. If it is sports related, they will probably have it on at least a few of the TV's. The primary game is also piped through the speakers into the restaurant. On the night we were dining, the Astros were beating up on the Cleveland Indians, errr, I mean Guardians (bring back Chief Wahoo). This is great if you are watching the game but makes the restaurant on the loud side as all the patrons have to talk louder to be heard by the rest of their party across the table. If you want intimate and quiet, this is not the place to come.As far as the food goes, Walk-On's definitely has the other sports bars beat. The cajun flair offers a plethora of seafood and cajun items that are very tasty. So far, I've had the Redfish Tacos, Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos, and the Ahi Tuna Bowl. All three are really good. I think the ahi tuna bowl has been my favorite so far. My wife really liked the Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos. She was pleased with the amount of shrimp that comes in the tacos. The shrimp was crunchy and covered in a slightly spicy sauce, hence the Boom Boom name. So far, we have not been disappointed in the food. I posted several photos to go along with this review. Bottom line - The cajun flair combined with a sports bar is a welcomed addition to the Clear Lake area. So far, we have not been disappointed. We will definitely be back. This is an easy five-star review. Bon appétit, y'all.

First time at this location and mostly all good. It did take some time to get our food and they forgot abt the chips n queso, it came after our food even tho we canceled it. But we still ate it and it was good. Plus it's super loud and I'm a total fan of the sports bar scene but they can turn the crowd noise down a tad.

So I'm a regular at this place and really like the regular menu. Some great things are surf & turf melt, Cajun Press and Bayou Pasta. But they have a summer specialty menu which includes an item.... Sweet and Saviry flavor curve ball. "Beignet Cheeseburger Sliders". Gotta say I had some trepidations about trying it. But I gave it a shot! It was actually pretty good and I figured it out. It's almost a Monte Cristo sandwich with a burger patty instead of ham or turkey. Only thing I would suggest is they add a jelly/jam option. But it was good. It's something I would definitely have again sometime.

. As far as bar food goes, it's awesome. Food was great. I had the sampler with some corn grits and it was delicious. Our server was over sat I think but she absolutely gave us good service while on the run. I'm not sure what my buddy got but he loved it. I was in Houston for work and he really wanted that place. Said he goes to the one by his house weekly with his wife. It's a really open big space and the huge bar. I would love to go watch a game there. I would come back in a heart beat
