Waldo's Chicken & Beer

So we've been meaning to try this place since it is newer near us. I got a 2 piece white chicken meal that comes with a cheddar biscuit and 2 sides. I got Mac and cheese and the cucumber / tomato salad. My fiancé went to order it to-go. The skin on the chicken was super crispy and my wing was still connected to the breast which was different but I liked it. The cheddar biscuit was delicious. We had actually gotten a side of them and it came with honey butter. I could've ate the whole thing just as my dinner. The Mac and cheese was very good. And the cucumber salad was refreshing. I really enjoyed this! I'm happy to find a go-to fried chicken place that isn't fast food. I love Popeyes and this Mac and cheese is like theirs but way less greasy! My fiancé got a chicken sandwich with bacon and really enjoyed it. Now, if they can just make the fried chicken with spicy flavoring in the breading - then I'd be here every week!

The food was pretty good! I got the chicken tenders with ranch and tender sauce and my side was the cucumber tomato salad. The sauces were good and the tenders were good sized, juicy, and well seasoned. My only complaint is I wish they had been a little crispier. The cucumber tomato salad was a nice surprise to see on the menu. It had nice flavor and the veggies used you could tell were fresh.I ordered to go, but when I picked it up the service was nice, friendly, and quick. I'll be ordering from here again!

Good chicken, but expensive. My son had the four-piece half fried chicken which comes with two sides. He got the french fries as well as potato wedges to try them both because the server told him many people preferred them over the fries. I did not find either potato compelling. Admittedly, they had to travel a good distance; but the wedges ranged from barely cooked enough to definitely underdone. I've had much better. The fries were cooked brown but - meh.The chicken has good flavor, great coating, and is well fried with moist and flavorful meat.Son was also supposed to receive a cheddar biscuit but did not. The "biscuits" are definitely great. (See below to understand why there are quotation marks there.)I hit the lucky order this time. I had the chicken and biscuits snack which comes with fried chicken bites - boneless chunks of various sizes, very nearly as good as the chicken on the bone with the same tasty coating - and four fluffy, muffin-shaped, "cheddar biscuits." Other reviewers raved about these biscuits, and they were right - although in my opinion they are little fluffy muffins with mild sweetness and a little cheddar. ("Fluffy muffins" sounds ridiculous, so I can understand why Waldo's calls them cheddar biscuits. But still.)Anyway, both Denver-area locations are a long way from our home, and I don't feel this merits a special trip. If we're in the area we might stop in for a couple of the chicken and biscuit snacks. This item is not exorbitantly priced and has the yummy "fluffy muffins." I feel like a five-year-old every time I type that phrase, but they're lovable in that little-kid sort of way: So cute! So fluffy! Yum!

We absolutely loved the chicken. I had the Freebird Club and it was amazing. I loved the honey mustard. My daughter ate her entire meal (chicken tenders and Mac and cheese). Even my mother-in-law who only eats chicken was happy. She had the rotisserie chicken and a few days later, she's still talking about the chicken and the white beans. The lady who took our order had only been working there three days but was so knowledgeable and patient with us. We will definitely be back!

The food hasnt slipped one bit since they opened, still great flavor great variet of flavorful sauces made inhouse, everything made fresh its a winner winner chicken dinner

Went to Waldo's with a buddy of mine this evening. I didn't read any of the reviews and I was surprised you order when you walk in and you take a number to your table. I'm feeling this form of service is becoming more and more common. Not that this changed my dining experience. The restaurant was very clean and the bar was busy. We got our food within 10 minutes of sitting down and the food came out warm. It was nice to know the tenders weren't sitting for a while. The breading on the tenders was really tasty. Better than Slim Chickens and just as good if it not better than Raising Cains. I didn't even realize they have fried pickles, so will definitely try next time I eat here.

Wow. My new favorite chicken place. You order your foodAnd drinks at the counter and it is delivered to your table. The bar and counter personnel were exemplary. A definite fun place to meet friend have some great food and deinks

Everything at Waldo's is made from scratch, and you can taste the difference! The chicken is incredibly juicy and flavorful. Whether you go for the classic fried chicken, chicken tenders, or the rotisserie, you won't be disappointed. The sides are equally impressive; the mac and cheese is thick and creamy, the coleslaw is fresh and tangy, and the cheddar biscuit is perfectly cheesy. You order at the front counter, seat yourself, and the food is brought right to your table! A perfect spot for a family friendly lunch or dinner!

Impressed by the quality of everything... so fresh. Large portions and many different flavor combos. The sauces we tried were all delicious.

I'll let y'all keep waiting in that long line for bland chicken tenders and crinkle fries over there at Raising Canes. Meanwhile I'll be at Waldo's enjoying better flavor, and more selection. So many sauces and sides to choose from. Traditional bone in chicken, sandwiches, salads, and a few options for the kids.It was so good y'all. I went back the next day and tried the chicken and waffles. Unfortunately I don't didn't get a picture but take my word for it money well spent. And if you're a fan of tea, you have to try their fruit tea.
