Country cooking and eating at its best. Very busy place but that's just a testament to the good food and great prices. Go early for weekend breakfast. Wait staff is nice and has a great sense of humor.

I stopped in here on a whim, didn't really know much about it but the place was packed so I figured it must be good! Indeed it was good! And the ladies that work here are amazing! They really take care of their customers. I don't travel through Pittsboro often but next time I do I'll be back!

Simple, clean mom and pop breakfast diner. Great place, huge food, fair prices. Fast service. Step back in time. My bad experiences with McD and TacoB have really driven me to focus on the mom and pop places. This is another in a series of great eats for low cost and friendly service places. Eat here. You won't be sorry.

I went to Pittsboro for a 9am visit with a client. Turns out that I had the wrong time and I had an hour to wait. So.... Breakfast!!What a great mistake. I noticed that the place was full of people. Went in. It was buzzing with activity. They gave me a table right away. I had coffee and placed my order. The food was ready in less than 5 minutes. Ham, bacon and cheese omelette, hash browns and toast. It's a fairly simple breakfast. But it was done to perfection. The food was not overcooked. It was to greasy or dry. I don't remember the last time I order an omelette that was this good. Hash browns were amazing. No wonder the place was packed...Oh, almost forgot: the ladies working the floor were very courteous and had a great smile!!

Our impromptu trip to Virlie's was a real treat! Hot, fresh and top-notch diner-style eats. We made it just in time for breakfast and wow, we were pleasantly surprised. Ordered my typical eggs "medium-well" and they were cooked to perfection with a side of nicely done crispy, hash-browns to top it off. Everyone was pleased with their order. We'll be returning for sure!

Got to locals favorite restaurant for years. Get there early 11:00 am if possible to get a table.Park in the back parking lot because the street parking out front is scarce.Tuesday is the fried chicken special day. Some of the best locally sourced farm to table Southern fried chicken in North Carolina.Variety of great choices on the menu. The shrimp Po'Boy is excellent.Southern fried okra is hot, a little crunch, and delicious.Southern style tea is the beverage I ordered with a few lemons to kick it up a bit.Home town flavor, hospitality, friendly staff, excellent fast accurate service, delicious food make all the difference.Highly reccomend.

Virlie's is the "go to" breakfast diner in Pittsboro. Three rooms of casual table seating, a sit down counter and booth seating all available. Their eggs, home fries, grits, bacon, and sausage are all delicious. Nice staff. Can be busy, but it's worth the wait.

Food was great and service was excellent. I had sausage gravy and a biscuit! Yum! Not an egg eater so this hit the spot and didn't need to eat any lunch.
