This Italian market has been around for quite some time. It has gone through ownership changes, but still delivers on Italian bread (white), sausage, cheeses and Italian pastries and cookies. Also some pasta machines, tomato sauce, lupine beans and more.

You want Italian food, you head to Vinnola's. This place is a Wheat Ridge staple, but honestly I've been driving from Denver for over 20 years to get food and imported Italian goods here. Their red sauce is full of depth and flavor. Their selection of imported Italian food is carefully procured but their homemade refrigerated and freezer section is where you want to stock up. The deli counter has great service with delicious homemade food (the sausage sandwich is unique and a must try) and there is plenty of seating in the cute dining area adjacent to the deli counter and marketplace. The baked goods are authentic and there is a big variety, though I haven't tried any recently. On my next visit, I'm definitely ordering some gelato and a pizza or salad. They also have a few Italian brands of gluten free pasta available. I bought the Sogno Toscano Gluten Free Spaghetti and made it at home with my homemade sauce and it tasted delicious and fresh. You won't be disappointed at Vinnola's there is something for everyone!

If I need a special pasta, they have it. The market portion has a great selection of canned and dry goods. There is an entire fridge/freezer section of ready to bake pastas and sausage rolls. There is a seating area for dine-in and a menu for carry out. The dessert case is a feast for the eyes. Today I was looking for a few special pastas for upcoming dinners. They had exactly what I needed. Then of course we had to choose something from the dessert case. Bavarian Cannolis were just the thing. This is worth the stop. Highly recommend.

Stopped here for lunch and I was glad I did. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the lunch menu. The sandwiches were great and the beef ravioli that I took home for later were delicious. I can't wait to come back.

When I went to check out I asked a few questions, and learned Vinnola's is a family run place that's been in business for 49 years. I went looking for real imported Italian pasta -- it just tastes better and I'm glad I found Vinnola's. They had a nice selection of some of my favorites, plus other things that I didn't know I should get. The grocery store has lots of stuff from fresh Italian sausage, to pastas, homemade tomato sauce, olives, and pastries to name a few. They also make sandwiches to order -- hot paninis or cold subs. There is a seating area where you can have a nice lunch or afternoon coffee. Support your local business -- go to Vinnola's next time you need some really good Italian ingredients.

We recently went there to pickup some food. Vinnola's has pre made dinners in their refrigerators. Sure enough they had lasagna, manicotti, stuffed shells and the like. Last time they had great manicotti so I picked up a prepared dinner. We took it home and heated it up. We really were looking forward to a fantastic meal. But that didn't happen. Manicotti is pasta filled with ricotta and if it's made right it is wonderful. This was not made as we expected. It was filled pasta and looked nice but lacking in the taste we expected. It was filling and okay to eat but not wonderful just okay. The recipe was not the same as before when we ordered. It's not bad but just not knocking our socks off. We did eat it all and yet I find myself missing that flavor we had before. Anyway hope they get back on track because it used to be fantastic! This place also has desserts and sandwiches and even a small market of Italian products you can buy off their shelves. It remains a nice place but only rates 4 stars from me right now. Worth a visit though!

I encounter 4-5 employees there today and they all could not have been more nice, helpful and pleasant. Got the cold Italian sandwich for lunch and it was great. Also did some shopping after. Wish the market was bigger with more options but mostly got what I needed. Can't wait to try it all over the next week.
