I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the experience my husband and I had yesterday, which happened to be my birthday celebration.Upon arrival, we decided to sit at the bar, where we were promptly greeted by our waitress who handed us menus and informed us that we had arrived just in time for happy hour. Encouraged by her suggestion, I ordered a margarita while my husband chose a drink of his preference. However, our positive expectations quickly turned sour when the bill arrived. To our surprise, my margarita was not priced according to happy hour rates. When we brought this to our waitress's attention, she bluntly informed us that happy hour had ended 15 minutes prior to our order, despite being the one who initially recommended it to us.Feeling misled and frustrated by the inconsistency in service, I requested to have my drink changed to the one I originally desired, as the prices were the same. Instead of handling the situation professionally, our waitress displayed a disrespectful attitude, exchanged my drink begrudgingly, and proceeded to gossip about our exchange with her colleague. At that point, I was thoroughly disappointed and disheartened by the unprofessional conduct and lack of hospitality displayed towards us on what was supposed to be a celebratory occasion. The combination of subpar service and unprofessional behavior tarnished what could have been an enjoyable experience.I hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for reflection and improvement within your establishment. Customers deserve to feel valued and respected, especially on special occasions like birthdays.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night and was seated right away for a group of 8. We started off with drinks and I ordered the spicy watermelon margarita, which was one of their seasonal drinks. We ordered the following items:Chicharron de tilapia ($9.99) - This was fried tilapia chunks with habanero and creamy cilantro sauce. I was expecting the fish to be more fried/battered and crunchy, but it was more of a fried fish and the fish was super tender. This was pretty tasty and I would probably order this again. Ceviche aguachile ($15.99) - I love ceviche so I definitely had to order one and this one caught my attention because it's marinated in a spicy lime-based green sauce. The flavors were spot on with the perfect amount of lime and spice in each bite. Would definitely recommend this if you're a fan of lime-y ceviche.Paella ($59.99) - This is supposed to be for 2 people and comes with plenty of fish fillets, grilled octopus, shrimp, scallops, mussels, and calamari, served with their special rice. Flavors were really good and the portions were enough to share with more than two people. Compared to some other paella that I've had, the price was a bit on the steeper end, but it did come with a good amount of seafood.Vida Parrillada ($49.99) - This is also for 2 people to share and comes with fish, grilled shrimp, crab stuffed shrimp, and beef/chicken fajitas with a side of Mexican rice, beans, pico, and guacamole. This was also big enough to feed more than two people, so a great entrée to share with a group of people.Everything we ordered was really tasty, and I would definitely recommend the dishes that we ordered. The only downside was that the mariachi bands that come by and play songs while you're eating is VERY loud, so it's difficult to even have a conversation at the table if they are standing next to you or in the same vicinity. It also felt like they came by every 15-ish minutes or so. Other than that, a fun spot to check out if you're in the mood for some delicious Mexican food with lots of seafood options!

My bestie found this spot on IG. The Houston Foodie hyped it up so we had to try it out. I knew once I pulled up it was good because the parking lot was packed. It's a family environment and kid friendly for sure. The pricing was decent. Can't complain. Service was really good. The manager stopped at our table and talked to us for a while. The food was amazing! I highly recommend checking them out.

It was overall a nice environment to be in especially when the band is playing. There's a plethora of food options, although I feel like it's hard to pick out favorites. At least you can come back multiple times and try different things! The people were nice.

The wife and I have been here quite a few times. For those familiar with the range of Mexican cuisines, this is a typical ostioneria. There's a variety of seafood offerings, some served with some flair. Everything we've had has been delicious and the drink offerings are good as well. The ambience gives "great happy hour spot" with boozy drinks, a bar, lots of TVs and a live band or singer that necessitates loud talk at tables--especially if you're seated near the stage in this large space.

Had such a fun time here with a couple of friends. The server brought fresh bread to our table while we waited for our drinks. I got a michelada and it was just perfection. The food was great as well! I got the Fried Platter that has a little bit of everything. Loved it! There was a live band and the place was crowded. People got up to dance and we enjoyed watching everyone have a great time. My friends split a mixed fajita platter for 2 and it was truly so much food. We took a lot of left overs home. Pricing is a little high but for the atmosphere and the taste I believe it's worth it. Our waiter was absent a lot but she was also soooo busy so we didn't hold it against her.

1st time at Vida Mariscos, and will definitely come again. We came on a Friday night around 8:30 pm, and the parking lot was packed. We had to park in the way back. There is a security patrolling the area on a golf cart.Once entered, we didn't wait long to be seated. We ordered drinks: the spiked pineapple, and the pineapple dragon fruit margarita. Both very great & full of flavor! I do wish there wasn't so much ice in my margarita. Felt like most of the drink was ice.For our meal we ordered the Parrillada Capitán, which included a lobster tail, chorizo, chicken fajita meat, 10oz fish fillet with scallops, and cactus. Everything came out hot and was amazing. We did wish the lobster was removed from the tail as parts of the tail mixed in with the food, and made it hard to cut/share.Our waitress was hard to get at some points just because of how busy they were, so expect that. But she was very responsive and prompt, otherwise. There is a live band playing inside, and the ambiance was casual. An awesome place to go with a group of friends. We will be returning!
