The smooth hazelnut gelato was swirled with rich chocolate sauce & presented in a chilled flute glass.
The Mozzarella Caprese was made with vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and olives.

The food was amazing.Greatest service ever! We ordered food five minutes before the food arrived! The bathroom soap smells like the cherries in the Shirley Temple. I suggest getting the ravioli. I got it and it was delicious. Amazing restaurant!-written by my 9 year old daughter. Clearly she loved it!

The service was warm and personal, the food tasty and made to order, good wine list and caring people. Very busy on a Saturday night. Two dings... plenty of manager and "suits" but little check-in with guests and while the desserts sound wonderful they are off...

I've been to Venice more times and for more occasions than I can count. I was honored to be invited to a friend's parents 57th anniversary. It's been a few years since I have walked through the door. The place is bigger with an additional private room as they took over the space next door this also includes the bigger front bar area. Still the dimly lit white tablecloth place I fondly remember. Ambiance here is everything for sure. Dimly lit, attentive but not overly intrusive service, low background music adds to the evening and not overpowers conversation. Wine list is on an iPad which is fun. Still the food I remember and will now crave again for weeks. This is definitely a Daye night , special occasion kind of place. Go and give yourself a nice night out.

We had a team dinner here, atmosphere was fun, it was packed. Service is good and portions are fairly large, except for My appetizer, eggplant Parmesan, which was a small tower and kind of mushy. Everything else the table ordered look decent and good portioned. My dessert was zabaionne which was large and tasty.

Ok - Italian snob and this location was a surprise and delight. Don't let the outside fool you - this is impeccable Northern Italian with rich sauces made to your taste, fabulous wine list and more. Alberto was an amazing server and Giancarlo an amazing host. Only coaching would be to sit away from the windows to truly appreciate the ambiance. Strong recommendation!

I went here the weekend after Valentine's Day and had to wait an extra 30 min even with a reservation. The staff was incredibly apologetic for this though and even gave us an appetizer on the house. A mozzarella caprese each -- not like a free side of bread or something.Ambiance was nice with warm, glowing lighting.Food was pretty good. I had the Pappardelle con Cinghiale, and it was delicious. Hearty and creamy but not too heavy. Dessert was a bit of a miss -- the tartufo pistachio was a sad melted puddle of cream and nuts with overly sweet drizzles of what tasted like store-bought strawberry topping.

"When in Venice!" We dined at Venice Restaurant in Greenwood Village for dinner this week. From the elite Italian food & wine offerings, to the ambience, to the staff - everything came together for a fabulous experience. We arrived at Venice and were seated in the main dining room. The aesthetic was airy with Venetian inspired décor throughout the space. There were white silks adorning the ceiling, column accents, gold mirrors & gondola paintings. The staff at Venice was superb. General Manager, Aldo Perez welcomed us to the restaurant with a radiant smile and extensive knowledge on the menu. He and our server, Krassie ensured our meal ran smoothly and that we had everything we needed during dinner. Krassie was lovely and attentive with service. Expo, Rita was the sweetest thing and ensured our drinks were filled and that we had a clean table. We started our meal with wine & prosecco. I had the Sonoma-Cutrer, Russian River Ranches, 2021 Chardonnay. This was a nice Chardonnay with a soft straw color. It had fruit forward aromas of white peach and apple. The wine was refreshing with a creaminess on the palate & a long finish.Cassidy had the Bisol, "Jeio", Brut NV Glera, Prosecco. The Prosecco was a lively wave of bubbles with flavors of fresh fruit. For Antipasti we had the Carpaccio & Polenta and the Mozzarella Caprese. The Carpaccio & Polenta was made with thinly sliced filet mignon, arugula, crispy capers, polenta, parmesan cheese, aioli, and white truffle oil. The delicate carpaccio slices was arranged among a fresh bed of tender arugula leaves that covered the polenta cake. The rustic Italian-style polenta cake was warm and offered a sweet corn taste with the texture of a dense cornbread - it was delicious. The Mozzarella Caprese was made with vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and olives. The Caprese was a solid combination of textures and freshness. The large, thick slices of fluffy mozzarella paired beautifully with the bright, acidity of the ripe tomatoes. For Pasta we had the Gnocchi alla Vodka e Burrata and the Agnolotti ai Funghi. The Gnocchi alla Vodka e Burrata was made with potato dumplings in a vodka pink sauce and parmesan cheese, served with a fresh burratina. Bury me in this gnocchi - I couldn't get enough. The piping hot, pillow-ey potato dumplings were generously coated in a creamy alla vodka sauce that was rich and sweet. The pasta was baked around the cheesy goodness of the burratina which made for epic cheese pulls. This was my favorite of the night. The Agnolotti ai Funghi was made with homemade round shaped ravioli filled with Portobello and cremini mushrooms, parmesan and ricotta cheese with a hint of garlic and porcini, served in a porcini and gorgonzola cream sauce. The agnolotti was unreal. The Portobello and cremini mushrooms filled the homemade raviolis with light earthy notes. That umami flavor matched up with the aromatic garlic & decadent cream sauce created an amazing mix of savory flavors. This was Cassidy's favorite. For Specials we had the Cioppino Toscano made with Chilean seabass, shrimp, mussels and salmon simmered in a savory broth. The Cioppino was a hearty stew that was perfect for a cold night. For Dessert we had the Hazelnut Chocolate Flute topped with strawberries. The smooth hazelnut gelato was swirled with rich chocolate sauce & presented in a chilled flute glass. The chocolate-hazelnut combination was characterized by sweet cocoa & a delicate, nutty taste. A beautiful end to a fantastic meal.

Always a great experience. Had their famous Caesar salad with fried capers plus other delicious entrees. Our waiter was awesome- she was efficient without being pushy. Nice neighborhood upscale Italian. Only thing this time that was off is the lamb chops- one was cooked perfectly- the other almost raw!

This review is for the Greenwood Village location (Venice Ristorante Italiano) This business has three locations with three slightly different names: Venice Ristorante & Wine Bar (in Downtown Denver), the Venice Ristorante Italiano (in Greenwood Village/the DTC) and Chianti Ristorante Italiano (near the Cherry Creek Reservoir). My wife and I went out to eat on Thursday (Apr 12, 2024) to a new restaurant we've never been to before; the Venice Ristorante & Wine Bar, located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. My wife made the reservation using the OpenTable app. It wasn't a special occasion for us, we like to go out to eat every other Thursday, and try out new restaurants. This review took up more time/space/words than Yelp would allow, but they allow me to upload photos. There were two photos I was planning to attach (will attach), but my review was too lengthy for the space allowed (maximum of 5,000 characters), so I've screen captured the review and attached it as a separate document. I've rated my review '1 Star' - If you'd like to read the review, and understand the reasons why, please see the 'fullreview_12apr2024.png' attachment. Essentially, this restaurant needs to move to a new location if they wish to serve customers appropriately. Additionally, you may also be interested to learn why I posted this review on Yelp, as opposed to OpenTable... The answer to that question might help explain why the restaurant has such a high rating on 'OpenTable' (and other review sites?).Denver area Diners
