Vaqueros Grill

Despite the reviews, my Chicken and Dumplins were not at all tasty. After I took.a cup of cooked sliced celery out, the bowl was so big. The dumplins were good, but were few in a big bowl. My husband had Catfish and baked squash and a salad. He said it was good. I didn't any because I spent my time removing celery out of my bowl. The rolls were good. Service was very good. The place is clean and busy and loud!. The Chickem Fried Steak is their winner, from review ls and on the menu. My husband has eaten there before, and he said the Pork Chops (2) were fabulous. I will try it again for a better judge of something else.

You may think this is a Mexican food restaurant from the name but it actually is great old school down home cooking. I had the small chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra, gravy and rolls. It was all fresh and delicious. Service was warm, welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend this little spot.

Better than Goodson's. The chicken fried steak is yummy and the Philly cheese steak is surprisingly delicious (wish they'd come up with a peppery chicken version).Ambiance isn't wonderful; they could do with some warmer lighting and dimmers.Service is great and friendly.

We visited Vaquero Grill for the first time today and it was awesome! Donia was our waitress and she was so sweet, helpful, friendly and attentive. We ordered the mixed appetizer basket which had fried mushrooms, pickle spears, okra, onion rings and mozzarella cheese sticks. Everything was hot and fresh and it was so good! For our dinner entrees we had the chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. Both were breaded perfectly with the right amount of breading to meat ratio. Everything we tried was AWESOME! The cook even came out to check on us to make sure we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I highly recommend this place. We can't wait to come back to try more entrees and the fried Oreos! Thank you for a wonderful first visit. We will be back soon!

Chicken Fried Steak yall. This. Is. The. Place! Most likely one of the best CFS that I've ever had out. I mean, the best ones came from mom's kitchen... but I will come here again. I do want to try other things on the menu, but I dont know if I'd be able to order anything else knowing that the CFS is so good.As my sides I had mashed potatoes and corn. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant, but I'm not mad. I just so happen to like instant potatoes so... it was good. The corn was also really good. Had the perfect seasoning on it. The cream gravy was also really good.Oh... how could I forget... they also serve you yeast rolls with cream gravy on the side while you're waiting on your meal. They were delicious... so good that I asked for extras.This place is legit. I will be stopping back by when I'm in the area.

Excellent - everything we had was delicious. Service was prompt. Staff extremely friendly. Will definitely be returning.

Not sure how I haven't reviewed this place. Been here probably 15x in the last 2 years. Almost always get it to go so the drive through window is nice. Service is great, shout out to Georgia. She's a gem. The owner is always there and his daughter works the counter. She's very nice too. The chicken fried steak is excellent and we also like the salads. Fried shrimp is on point and burgers are very good. Hand battered onion rings and Mac and cheese are great too. The French fries and mashed potatoes leave something to be desired. But it's hard to do everything great. Just a solid, friendly place. Hope it stays around for a long time.

We had the bacon burger (asked for no bun, onions, lettuce and substituted grated cheddar for the American cheese) with onion rings and chicken-fried steak (gravy on the side so not shown in pic) with black-eyed peas and green beans. It was all great. We both really liked the gravy, hickory bbq sauce and the honey mustard sauce.

This place was excellent! It was recommended to us. On first glance I thought this was a Mexican restaurant because of the name - but it is not! There are so many choices seafood, steak, chicken, burgers, salads and sandwiches. They bring you the biggest yeast rolls to start off. We all loved them! Everything we ordered was delicious! The chicken fried chicken, creamed gravy, grilled chicken, fried shrimp, fried fish, fried okra, squash was all excellent. The portions were very large for the price point! Too bad we didn't save room for the homemade apple pie or banana pudding. Next time!!

What a great a little restaurant. If you are looking for home cooking at a great value, Vaquero Grill is the place for you. Good home style cooking with great service. The whole menu is terrific!The pork chops and chicken fried steak are delicious. My son had a cheeseburger and was asking for more.
