Gumbo was okay just not served hot
My pan-seared red snapper with shrimp crab meat avocado on a freaking bed rice. Shrimp could have been cooked a little longer.

Stopped in to give it another try again. I'd describe the experience as "ok". Nothing great by any means! The service is barely there. Not friendly at all. Just honestly meeting the bare minimum of service. The food was subpar. Yes, the portions are huge as described in other reviews but having a big portion of blah food is just a lot of blah. Our drinks were good! We just won't be back. Such a shame too because this place could be great if they tried just a little harder! I'm sure my updated review will garner a "funny" response from staff and owners but hey, if you present quality, FRIENDLY service then the bad reviews will actually be funny.

I ordered from here using door dash and everything was very well packaged so that it arrived hot and in perfect condition. We ordered the seafood pasta (exceptional for seafood pasta) and the fried seafood platter (they literally had to use a large roasting pan to package it) the gumbo and calamari. Everything was delicious and I couldn't be happier with the care they took to make sure it arrived looking and tasting delicious.

Bathroom 5/5: AverageDining Area 5/5: The dining area was average what I really liked was the bar area. It had a antique feel to it. It wasn't much to look at but as a tip the tables with a view of the water offer the best sunlight for a selfie :) Customer Service 5/5: Dianne if you're reading this you're awesome keep up the great work! Food 5/5: Let's talk about the food y'all omg. The blackened tilapia and shrimp lunch special is FIRE ! My picture doesn't do it justice. You'll just have to check it for yourself. I've had a margarita or two at this restaurant before and I probably should've stopped after the first one lol Price 5/5: $$$ If anyone knows me well enough by now, I'm okay paying more for quality food. However, yes there food was a bit pricey. The taste made up for it and there rice and carrot tasted better than anything I've made at home.Vibe 5/5: I went around lunch time and it was hardly anyone there. So this is a perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle or catch up on some work while eating. The music was at a reasonable level and there were different channels on the TVs throughout the restaurant. Plenty of parking space around the back. Overall 30/30: This is a great spot.

The food is good. Today they failed in customer service. They ran out of glasses and according to waitress manager said , do not use to go cups. Seriously! We drove a very long way. You can't give your customers a to go cup since you ran out of glasses!!!!! This was not acceptable! No refill on drinks and this is truly unacceptable. We had to get up to get our refills. We're told by waitress she was busy with food right now. What does this mean? You can't give us refills.

We came to Valdos while waiting to board our cruise and we had the best time. Our waitress, Sosa (so so sorry if we are misspelling) was incredible. She was very attentive and made our evening so great. She was an incredible waitress and made our experience so much better!

Where do I start with this place... first off we had a reservation for 7 pm. We were then seated and told that we could not start ordering our food until 30 minutes because they had a bigger party than us who scheduled in advance. We spoke to the manager who gave us the same bs excuse. If this is a common thing here then make it known when confirming reservations or simply get more staff. So as we waited to order, we ordered drinks. My sisters Pina colada had no alcohol, we asked 3 times for a shot rum for the Pina colada because it tasted like a smoothie. So as we waited for the shot, the drink began to melt. An hour later, they give the shot of rum. Which we made sure they didn't charge for. My husband and I ordered the patron margaritas which was probably the only decent thing we ordered. We didn't receive our food until 9 pm. We ordered several different types of plates with different fishes and yet all our plates looked the same. The disgusting yams or whatever concoction that was, the CANNED corn, the huge stalk of brocolli that was not fully cooked. The sauces to the fish did no justice to the dried out fish underneath with the bed of rice hidden beneath it. Like seriously, they only put about a spoons worth. It's safe to say, you should pass on this restaurant and it's lack of staff and customer service.
