Urban Bird Hot Chicken

Finally tried this spot after passing by it for months and unfortunately the food was subpar. Ordered online and when I came inside to pick it up I was not greeted and cashier just didn't seem like they wanted to be there. Lots of seating inside and lots of parking for the restaurant. We ordered a half order of the urban fries w/ Nashville hot tender which was just okay and also ordered a kids meal with Nashville hot tender with Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese that came with the kids meal was so bland and the tender did not taste like usual Nashville hot chicken, it was very powdery. The one thing that I did love was their lemonade and the other flavors next to it, I mixed the lemonade with the blueberry I think and it was so delicious. Those two items were not worth $18. Will most likely not return but glad I got to try it out for myself.

I'm glad to see they open one in Humble area. I had tried them on Kirby street and liked it.This time I tried the waffle chicken and it was good too. The medium spicy is already burnt my tongue

Great Tenders!! The hamburgers they look delicious since they put their sauce and some cole slaw, we waited for about 15 minutes for our food to come out, but other than that its worth the wait!

LOVE LOVE LOVE their food and the different levels and flavors of spiciness that they offer. I also love that they have a non chicken option for their chicken strips. The service has always been good when we've come or ordered to pick it up. So glad they put one on this side of town.

Expected so much more flavor wise! The service was good being one of the newer locations on the block.The chicken needs work. Can't call yourself hot chicken when your hottest heat ain't even hot. Mild even tasted plain. Disappointing, because I love hot chicken. This has nothing on Dave's Hot Chicken.

Food was delicious. Our party had several different items including the shakes, urban fries, and tenders. Service was really great. Even on opening weekend they were friendly and very attentive.

The food is good. Very heavy on the stomach. I order the chicken sandwich with coleslaw and fries on the side. It was a lot. The sandwich did have one chicken breast. Instead it was two large chicken tenders. Service was fast but they could stand to clean the tables and seating area. That's why I didn't dine in.Overall I would recommend.

While I thought the food was OK, I'll just skew it to 3 stars. I opted for the hot tenders. The batter was way too crispy and the tenders were kinda overcooked as you can see by the fried batter. The waffles were soft and mushy. They actually needed to be crispier. Nobody enjoys an under toasted waffle from the iron. I thought the tenders were smaller in size and I left with an unappetizing meal. Service was ok. It's a counter order and pickup. Ambiance was aight. The Katy location, by far is the best. This really was a 2 star experience.

Urban TURD. This place fulfills the name because everything about it is $#!*. Service is terrible, Food is garbage, and best of all you get to wait an hour for the crap you just got. This place should go out of business.

First impression of the restaurant was mediocre. The restaurant itself seem very unclean. Tables and booths were not wiped down. There are no signs on where to put food trays so they were left on tables. Restroom entrance was also very slippery due to it being next to the kitchen doors. Also, there are no napkins anywhere in sight.As for the food, the chicken sandwiches and fries were good and fulfilling. It's a lot of food and the tenders are huge. Comparing to Main Bird, I say Main Bird is a lot better flavor and portion wise. We also added the cheese to our order and it was not good. It dried up within minutes and tasted like a block of melted cheese. They could have added heavy cream or milk to make it a better consistency.
