Twin Crab

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had here in my years of coming to twin crabs off of gulf freeway. For one we arrived and were seated quick but that was the only fast thing we got. After being seated we waited OVER 10+ minutes and it wasn't even packed, then once our server finally came she took our orders and then brought us our food which was lukewarm and the bag wasn't even steaming. Then she came back to our table only 3x after being there over 1hr and 45min to ask if we were good which I let her know she forgot part of my order(that took over 10 minutes to get rice that arrived room temp) then to take my payment which once she received it changed her demeanor even though she still had to charge my friend. We waited patiently even after she IGNORED US more that twice when my friend kept trying to pay. Honestly a terrible night. The food was ok at best.

The service was good. The ambiance feels like ever other Asian style crawfish joint. The crawfish was terrible.

Food was over cooked flavor was goo but the one major thing that brought this down from a 3star to a 2 star was when i was on my last pieces of my seafood boil roaches had started crawling on my table... I'm pregnant and after seeing that it made me so nauseous and was on the verge of throwing up. We let our waiter know and he let his manager know as well. Our waiter truly came up and apologized but we never saw the manager take responsibility of the incident it felt like he didn't care about the fact that the restaurant isn't clean. So if you want to eat in a roach infested place go ahead

I honestly should have known better since the season is so early.. but my husband and I were wanting crawfish and this place is so close to our house. I honestly regret it, their crawfish to me, didn't have any flavor and it tasted frozen. The sauce was good and the corn with the potatoes were good with it too, which was such a bummer when the crawfish didn't have that same flavor. We ordered the Twin Crab House Special, medium. Each pound comes with corn and potato and is $8.95/lb. Service was fine and the ambience was decent, not too loud, they have plenty of tables. Again, I was just disappointed in the crawfish, and I'm hoping the rest of their boiled seafood isn't the same way. If you're not much of a boiled seafood eater, they do have fried seafood baskets and fried rice. Their alcohol situation seems pretty nice though, different cocktails and beer. Their happy hour is Mon-Fri 11a to 6p with an entree.

Great location. Didn't get a greeting when we walked in and the fact that there were 3 workers standing there watching us until we asked them are we supposed to sit ourselves? Before they stopped talking to help us was kind of rude. Now our server Marc was great. He was always in sight and was never needed to be called on because he made sure he kept on checking on us. Had a regular mojito that didn't come out to good so I had to send it back but the Long Island iced tea was perfect. The food was really tasty. Had the crawfish with crab and green mussels with lemon pepper seasoning and hot for my pepper heat. Everything was cooked well and food came out REALLY quick which was great. The HOT I thought was their own home made peeper but when I got to eating it I noticed it was just a great amount of cayenne pepper powder. Food was still great.

That shrimp lunch special - I think it's the L1 has me in a complete choke hold. It comes with steam rice, corn and a potato. Of course I add an egg. All that for like $13. So good

Terrible experience!!! It was a really slow day with only few groups eating when we got seated. The server, KH took our order (which wasn't even confusing) and left. When the food had arrived two of the orders were wrong. I didn't even get crawfish like I had ordered and my sister was charged for snow crab (that she didn't order) and her blue crab (that she did order) was missing. I understand mixups happen so we told her and she brought out the correct items but her attitude was just not it. She looked at us like it was our mistake that we didn't get what we ordered. After that she barely came to our table. We had to wait so long that one of us was almost done with the meal before we saw her and stopped and asked for refills. It was three of us eating and so many shells kept adding up and then bin was overflowing that we had to stop and ask her to change it and for bags so we can take the leftover and even with that she seemed to have an attitude with us. Lastly when it was time to pay, we waited about 15-20 mins before she even charged my card and I wanted to give cash tips but before I could even extend my hand to give it to her she literally left. Overall, spent $250 at this place, I'll never be coming back here if the server is this terrible as it honestly ruined our moods. Even tho it was a mixup on their part with the orders we apologized to her and thanked her everytime which she didn't even have the decency to do after we paid.

So so. Really depends when you go. One thing that pops in my head is "why was the blue crab so freaking soggy!?" I was afraid that I was gonna get food poisoned, but thankfully I was fine. They just cooked it weird lol. Giving it two stars cuz it's pricey and yet the food is not the best, so not very worth it.
