Good Flavor. Good vibes on a nice chill night. Service started a little slow but the experience went well.

Visited this establishment while in Atlanta last weekend. Beautiful decor inside and outside for pictures with live environment. The wait staff was attentive, but service was rushed because you only get 90 minutes to eat. The food is fresh and delicious. My friend was not happy with the 90 minutes rush especially since she didn't finish her drink. Other than that, the restaurant is worth trying because the food and drinks were good.

We went here for our anniversary based on IG videos and booked via OpenTable. We enter the restaurant and there is already a line out the door. The waiting area is extremely small and tight. Even with a reservation, we ended up waiting 40 minutes to be seated (we arrived on time). I overheard one of the staff say to another staff that there were tables that have been here for 3 hours or more.Service was ok. We had to pace our waiter and remind him when we were ready to order, which I think contributes to the reason people are staying at tables for 3 hours or longer. The candle on our table was out. We had to ask the waiter if we can get the candle replaced at our table - we're here for our anniversary man (told him at the beginning), let us have a candle lit dinner. Food was ok. We started with the calamari, which was sliced thinly and crispy. I personally think it needs some tang or fresh element - it was a bit salty and monotonous. I ordered the lovebird drink and it was ok. Hubby wanted a tequila flight but they were out of one of the tequilas so they couldn't give it to us. He asked about another tequila and the waiter laughed and said they were out of that too. It would be good if staff stayed knowledgeable on what is available and not available from the menu. When his tequila was served, it was just poured in a glass and given - not chilled or anything. I had oxtail which was ok - the oxtail itself was good. I think it needed some more flavors though - again, was a bit monotonous. Hubby had the Mayan fajitas which was a hefty portion. It tasted good, bit over salted. Dessert was the greatest disappointment. We had the tres leches cake and I had to send it back. I felt embarrassed for them that they even have such a dessert on the menu - it was so far off from a tres leches cake! The cream tasted too sweet, very artificial, and the cake itself was not good at all. Overall, ambience is party-vibe, but food and drinks were nothing special for me to come back. Sadly, there is nothing truly "Tulum" about this place.

Food: We went to happy hour (1/2 off appetizers and drinks on the happy hour menu) and the food was amazing. Salmon chips and nachos were great. I think those are the best salmon chips in Atlanta (IJS).I also got the frozen margarita ( sugar on the rim) and it was delicious & tasty. Not sure if they were fresh or premade but they still were really good.Service:Bartender was amazing. Wait and Bar staff was really friendly. Great service and good vibes.PARKING: you can park in the parking deck for free during happy hour hours ( not sure about pricing beyond those hours ) however, if you try to park, In front of Tulum they charge $20. And the space that they park your car is some raggedy parking spots behind the restaurant. Ambiance: **They have happy hour during weekends as well Overall, the restaurant is really nice. We spent majority of our time outside on the patio; patio has a lot of available Seating for both smaller and larger parties. Bathrooms are clean and unisex. They are pretty small, but they are individual restrooms. Overall : I gave my experience an overall for because I only went to happy hours so I really can't speak to the overall menu or inside dining experience. However, other than that everything was really great and I would definitely go back.

We popped in just before closing and did a little pre-gaming on a Sunday night. The restaurant was nice but could use a bit of updating tbh. We enjoyed a couple drinks and a snack. The drinks were unique, delicious and came with a little kick. The staff was also super sweet and efficient. I'm so late to trying this place. Better late than never though right!

I had a fantastic time at this restaurant for my birthday! The food and drinks were incredible. I started with the delicious ceviche and then enjoyed the mouthwatering oxtail tacos for my main course. The waiter was friendly and accommodating; all my friends loved their meals, too. To top it all off, I was surprised with a birthday cheesecake that was incredibly moist and flavorful. The tropical ambiance and live entertainment made the whole experience even more fantastic!.

To park is $20 for self park and $40 for valet so it started off expensive lol, we opted for valet. We had a 9 pm reservation but due to Atlanta traffic I had to call and see if it could be pushed back to 10, they were very nice and understanding and said they had a 10:45 slot available. We arrived at 1022 and were instantly seated. Our waitress Kiki was super nice. For my first round I tried the kiwi caipirinha because I love strawberry caipirinhas, especially in Miami. It was strong!! I think it was the cachaca but the actual kiwi flavor was very subtle. Second round I got the lovebird which was very sweet but delicious. I think the aperol, which is usually very bitter to me, helped to temper some of the sweetness . The snapper bites were ordered by my friend were delicious and I love that we didn't have to fight the bones lol! I ordered the shrimp and crab rolls for my appetizer and they were kind of disappointing. The description made me think it would be more like crab rangoon but they were more like an egg roll. The cream cheese inside made it slightly soggy . The star of the show was the oxtail pasta that I ordered for my entree...just a perfect dish. It was seasoned well, the sauce was creamy and the toasted bread that accompanied it was a good addition. The space is gorgeous and they had the music jamming, a nice mix of house style music and r & b and they even had fire dancers! Tulum was a vibe and I highly recommend, when I go back I think I would like to try seating in their outdoor patio.

So I showed up 45 min before the kitchen closed and my food was EXCELLENT. The decor reminds you of being on an island. Food is a bit pricey but the theatrics make it worth it. My server was kind and very attentive. I ordered the fried snapper bites for an appetizer. The batter was tasty. Not too salty and the chipotle sauce compliments it well. For the entree I got the tableside lamb chops. They were tasty and cooked medium rare like I ordered. Will definitely be back to try Chef Nellies menu. We also got to meet her. Very personable.

The ambiance was great. That's all. The wait for the waiter was about 20 minutes after we sat down. The food and appetizers took way too long to come out. The drinks were not any faster. The food was at best mediocre. The 20% automatically added for service charge was not necessary. We will not be going back.

This place really brought me back to Tulum. I loved the ambiance. They had a fire show at 9pm, I'm not sure if it's a daily thing. Took one start off because it's $20 for parking outside the hours of 5-8pm. That is ridiculous! If you're spending money to eat, please tell me why you're charging for a parking and it's not even valet. It was in a very sketch parking area with poor pavements in the back. The food was mediocre. Drinks were just OK.
