Came here for dinner and came at a rush, the server handled it decently well since it was just her at the front and serving all the tables.Food was good, loved the spicy tuna crispy rice app, and then I had the tempura lobster sushi roll which was great (tempura lobster tasted very similar to chicken) but the sauce on top was delicious. My friends had the ramen and they said it was good, but nothing unique. They were out of the tuna nachos which I was really excited to try.The drinks were cool, with a light up ball inside the drink.

Service. It took us a hot minute to get our food. All of the other tables after us were served and if I hadn't followed up, ours would probably be forgotten. 2/5Food. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and it was bland. My wife ordered Birria Ramen and she had better. Their crispy tuna rice was good so at least there was one redeeming factor.Ambience. It was clean and it gave the vibe of a ramen bar. Overall, I got disappointed because I was looking forward to an authentic Ramen experience.

Ordered duck ramen for pickup on a Sunday night while visiting from the NY/NJ area. Order was ready quickly. The ramen overall was disappointing. The broth lacked the depth of flavor I expect from ramen and the egg was way overcooked - hard boiled, not runny at all and not marinated in soy (website photo says/shows soft marinated). I like roasted sweet potatoes but not sure they belong in ramen - and mine were particularly burnt. There wasn't much duck meat, other veggies tasted plain.

Highly recommend! I ordered the birria ramen and a few other things on the menu. I would come again. Great customer service!

Really enjoyed the food and service here yesterday. The sushi was fresh and delicious! The cocktails were plentiful and tasty. The lobster crispy rice was outstanding. Our server Kama was courteous and efficient. My only complaint about this red is the fact that an unhoused person from the street came inside and grabbed a menu then proceeded to go to every table asking for someone to purchase food for her. She was allowed to roam free and it was just disconcerting. Afterwards we noticed she'd relocated to the front door of the restaurant begging passersby for the same. I would definitely order food from here again but maybe not dine in.

I REALLY wish I had more positive things to say about this place but I've gone twice now and can confidently give my official thumbs down. I'm convinced that people who give this place good reviews just do not know what good ramen is supposed to taste like. Take it from an Asian person: this food is not it (but I honestly don't even think you need to be Asian to recognize that) Very unauthentic JFC & ram'n cheese appetizer were definitely the worst of everything I've tried here. Definitely stay away from this. A very cheap and artificial tasting cheese ramen noodles balled up and coated in fried flavorless nothing. A singular piece of fried chicken, also flavorless. Don't know why I paid $12 for 1 piece of fried chicken and 2 fried cheese balls. The sauce is just glamorized mayo. As for the ramen, the broth is absolutely flavorless, the meat (specifically shredded pork) is flavorless, the dumplings are 90% wrapping 10% filling (but honestly will give it to them that they do seem as thought they're hand wrapped dumplings which would be cool if it's true?), the egg is just.. a boiled egg.. not even a traditional marinated egg, and the rest of the veggies/toppings are just subparThe pork belly taco was one of the better things I've had here, but still just okayThe ambiance here is great though. Super nice place so I really do wish the food was better

Had reservations for a late dinner on Friday night with a large party and we were seated right away. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy but after we ordered drinks (2 beers and a wine), they took a long time to be brought out. Too long...and they didn't even come out at the same time which was odd. I'm not particularly fond of ramen so I ordered karaage (like chicken poppers) which I honestly disliked. They were quite pale, had very little meat (poor quality meat at that) and had too much breading or whatever the coating was. The "tartar" sauce that accompanied it was ok- nothing to write home about. Our party ordered a few of the ramen options which some liked and others did not. I tried the cauliflower salad which was beyond salty. There was a lot left to be desired, for me at least. The place is small but I know there's an upstairs which I don't imagine being any larger. The ambiance was warm and intimate. A good first date or meeting place if food was better.

Came across Tonbo Ramen at the USATodayWineFood festival, and they were a hit! I'm not big on pork belly, but after the first taste of ramen, I slid the pork belly to the side and drank it; noodles and all. Today we came to there location on South Wilmington Street. There's street parking only but, I'm sure a parking garage is close by. The restaraunt is 2 story, upon saying "you're eating in", they directed us upstairs. Not a large room but enough hightop, bartop, and 2 seater tables to accommodate; you get a nice view of the skyline (Wells Fargo Tower). Today we had the Ram'n Cheese Bites, which were satisfying. But the main event Bowls were amazing, the Shoyu (Berkshire Kurobuta shredded pork, house-made pork and shrimp dumplings, soy marinated soft egg*†, broccolini, pickled carrots, scallion, sesame garlic oil, nori) & Seafood (Garlic butter sautéed shrimp, scallops, calamari, soy marinated soft egg*†, scallion, broccolini, pickled carrots, kamaboko, nori). Amazing delicious!!! Enough to make us want to come back and go through the entire menu. They have new items as well which are on the "table card" that others around us all were ordering from. They have plenty of drink options (full bar & taps) with a warm house sake that is very enjoyable, in addition to other options and flavors. Definitely, come give Tonbo Ramen a try and see why USA Today Wine & Food offered them a spot at there festival.

Friend and I went here for dinner on a Saturday. Surprisingly, they were almost empty at 7:30. Parking is in downtown, and we got lucky with a parallel spot right in front. We tried a couple flights: she got the whiskey flight and I tried the Hana (sweet) sake flight. The sake was good and seemed like good portions for the price($17), but the whiskey seemed like not as good a deal for the amount ($25). We tried the karaage chicken appetizer and then had the duck ramen and the tuna poke. It did take the server a minute to get to us, but I think she was busy dealing with another table. The food was decent. I honestly have had better ramen at other locations as well as better poke, but I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. I was a bit taken aback when they started cleaning the ceiling vents directly over the food prep area (they have an open concept with bar seating in front of the ramen bar). We already had our food, and they weren't actively prepping anything at the moment. But it just seemed odd to do when patrons were in the restaurant. I would probably go back if others wanted to, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Miso Ramen bar is still my pick for ramen.

Hmm food was good but felt like it needed some extra spices to it but it filled me up. Taste wise a solid 8/10, but overall good experience
