A very solid Vietnamese food. Not an extensive menu but what they have is good. Visiting from Virginia and was cool to see pho, with banh mi which is common, but less commonly Banh cuon (the thin rice crepe) and banh xeo (the crispy pancake). We came on Presidents day monday and it was very busy which is great for them.Clean but basic decor and a lot of tables inside. Food came out relatively fast. Pay at counter. There is also a very cool mural in the parking lot.

Great little Vietnamese spot in Midtown. Came on a Sunday around noon and the place wasn't too busy. Got seated immediately. Service was maybe a smidge slow since they seemed a bit understaffed. We ended up just walking up to the cash register and asking to order.Got the Banh Xeo and Pho Dac Biet. The Banh Xeo was huge. One of the biggest I've seen and was stuffed pretty well. I haven't tried Xeo Yum which people say is also a great Banh Xeo spot in Midtown. Was pretty delicious. The pho was also very solid. Pretty standard, but hit on a cold day. Noodles were a little clumpy but eventually separated. On the way out got one of the glutinous rice ball pastries with mung bean stuffed in it and it was yummy, too.Overall, would definitely come by to get just the banh xeo alone. Also curious to try out their bun bo hue. This place is the real deal.

Great Vietnamese lunch place in Midtown. Authentic food, decent prices and attentive service. The holy trinity.Their Bánh Xèo is a must-try. Delicious and crispy, but be prepared for the large portion. It's not a single-person appetizer. The pho and bun bo hue are pretty good. I don't understand why they close so early. I would have dinner here all the time if they opened a few hours later.Service is fast and attentive. Dedicated parking lot so there's lots of parking, but it might get full during the lunch rush.

Ordered from Thien An many times over the years. They're almost always busy but the service is pretty quick. My go-to dish is bun suong! Can't go wrong trying this instead of the typical pho or bun bo hue. If you're feeling extra hungry, the gigantic banh xeo here is also delicious! I was not too crazy about their bo bia or com bo luc lac (rice was good but the beef could've been more savory), but it's worth trying once. Overall the price is worth it for how much food you're getting!

everything EXCEPT bahn mi was exceptional.Do not get their bahn mi, get the bahn xeo! Bahn mi's bread was dry/hard, outside was not crispy and stale. Meat was okay but lacked flavor but not enough Mayo/butter and def not enough pickle/do chua. Overall a very subpar sandwich despite their name. However, their bahn xeo and bun Bo hue are very very good. Bahn xeo is amazing!! Crispy on the outside, filled with lots of veggies and meats, and the sauce is really good too. Bun bo hue had a lot of veggies and meat, can't go wrong. Veggies were also pretty clean.Place is a little run down but inside is clean. Food comes out very fast and everyone is very friendly.

This remains my favorite place to go to for a DELICIOUS vietnamese meal in the loop! We have been going every chance we can - especially with their hours, it can be hard to catch them open. We ordered banh cuon every time we have been but finally during a weekday lunch meal, we were able to try it!! And it did not disappoint! It was so delicious, the texture is so soft and the fillings are soo delicious and flavorful, especially with fish sauce poured over it. Definitely one of my favorite dishes! My other favorite appetizer is the vietnamese egg rolls. They get these egg rolls sooooo cripsy. They taste delicious wrapped in some lettuce with carrot and dipped in fish sauce. These are different from other traditional chinese egg rolls I've had in the past but I definitely like these more! Their pho will never disappoint on a cold day or just whenever you crave some pho! I've also been trying some of their smoothies (avocado, tropical, taro) and drinks (thai tea, viet coffee) and so far everything is pretty decent! It is not as good as a boba shop but for a drink to go with your meal it is just right! All in all, I will never stop raving about this place. The food comes out quick, the staff is so great and nice, and it is overall a great place to enjoy a good meal!

This is legit Vietnamese food. The space is huge. Service was actually great for an Asian restaurant. The banh xeo is ginormous. The banh cuon, pho and bun bo hue were all very flavorful. We didn't have a bad dish at all. All the portions are so large. We had a lot of leftover. The prices are very reasonable too. Plenty of parking available. I came back a week later and will be back again. My only complaint is the napkins. These are the worst napkins any restaurant can have. They are so small and thin that it takes about 5 napkins per wipe.

Love this place every time I'm visiting family in Houston. I ordered the pho, viet sandwiches and tofu spring rolls. Overall it was great. Highly recommend. For the price and amount you get it's great value.

Everyone knows you have to come here for the banh xeo. Bigger than your face and almost slipping off the plate, suuuuuper crispy. It is well worth the price you pay for it. I could probably eat a whole one by myself. We also had the duck salad which was acidic and savory, reminds me of classic Vietnamese food. Pay at the front when you're done! There's usually a lot of parking here, they have their own parking lot.

Came here for a quick lunch and had sort of mixed feelings. Its a casual restaurant with ample parking in midtown so thats a big plus.Service was mixed, everyone was really nice but things were forgotten. I just went up to ask for things which isn't terrible and I'm used to it at Asian establishments.Food-wise, I thought the banh xeo was excellent (crisp, flavorful, filling) but the banh mi was extremely subpar... I also tried the nem nuong spring roll which was good and the limeade which was very refreshing.I'd definitely come back as its close to me but will be trying anything but the banh mi.
